In the same peak, a part of the rocky surface was now carved.

Davis and Myria sat on the edge of the carved rocky surface, both remaining silent. Their legs were dangling over the cliff as they occasionally looked at the clear skies, at the valleys and rivers flowing, but the natural sound did nothing to stop the numerous thoughts running through their heads.

A few Elders had rushed past them over the commotion they made, but they didn't question anything and left, leaving them alone. Perhaps, they were already informed of his situation, or there was someone like the Void Dust Empress monitoring them and sealing the space.

Either way, the both of them sat there, not caring as they looked into the distance.

During this time, Lereza had cursed him ten times already. She demanded that she apologize to Myria, but he shooed her away, saying that it was none of her business when it came to lovers. She quarreled that he was shameless and eventually went away from his soul sea, but still, he stayed with Myria, not leaving her side.

"I…"

After what seemed to be a long time, Myria opened her mouth, prompting Davis to calmly look at her.

"As I said, there's no need to say anything."

Myria looked at him, her gaze serene, "I killed my father."

She watched him purse his lips, but other than that, she was confused to find that there wasn't a tremor in his eyes.

"I'm telling the truth."

"I know."

Davis nodded and looked away, causing Myria's gaze to flicker.

"Did Ellia tell you?"

She asked him, but he shook his head.

"Then how'd you… was it that Malediction Law User?"

"Well, not from him, but you could say it was someone from the outside world..."

Davis lightly smiled, causing Myria to heave a breath before she looked away into the distance.

"I'm not sure what happened that day, but I know I wanted to forget it. I think my father accidentally mistook me for my dead mother and wanted to take me, but I killed him in retaliation, although I also think that's my own subconscious way of bending the perspective. I sealed that memory multiple times that I don't know what's real anymore, and I don't want Ellia to know either, so don't tell her."

Davis stared at her. It was unknown what he was thinking, but he nodded his head. But still, feeling his gaze, her body quivered ever so lightly that she smiled and turned to look at him.

"But I know I truly loved my father, yet I still killed him. I'm not a Saintess. I'm a Fiend."

She abruptly reached out her hand and grabbed his robe, pulling him closer as her eyes flashed with killing intent.

"I will do the same to you, murder you in cold blood if you touch me again."

Her voice was utterly cold, reeking with a bloody warning that transcended into a scenery full of carnage in Davis's eyes. It was like she cast an illusion on him, but he knew that the manifestation of the pure number of slaughters she had committed.

But despite experiencing her killing intent, his lips couldn't help but curl into a wide smile.

"Oh? You just admitted to loving me?"

"What's wrong with you?"

Myria pushed him away as her eyelids gently flickered as she looked away. Her cheeks blushed behind her veil, but Davis didn't even notice as he stood up, gesturing to the skies.

"I know someone who probably knows what truly happened. I will ask them and see what had occurred in your life-"

"Did you not hear me? Leave me alone!"

Myria yelled as she glared at him again.

She couldn't believe the audacity or the tenacity of this man to pursue her like this. After all, she had hurled curses at him many times, yet he wouldn't look away as though peering into her heart and exposing her secrets, making her feel disturbed.

"Nope." Davis grinned, "I want you, and I want you as soon as possible. The key to unlocking the way to your heart is to unlock the mystery behind your-"

"Like!"

Myria suddenly squealed, causing Davis to gawk before he turned to look at her. She had her face lowered, and her fingers dug into the surface with pure strength that made his expression reel.

"I admit that I like you… but I don't know. I'm afraid that I'll end up killing you like I..."

She quivered, suddenly raising her head and looking at him with hopeful eyes.

"Abandon it…"

"Abandon what-"

Davis was confused but instantly realized what she meant.

"Abandon it… if you do so… let's run away together…"

Even Myria's voice turned full of pleading, causing Davis's mouth to be parted greatly.

Abandon it…? Run away…?

How could he throw away Fallen Heaven and run? Just the proposition of it was delicious as a vacation that he couldn't help but let out a helpless chuckle.

"Where to?"

Myria disappeared, quickly reappearing before him as she looked at him with a strange light in her eyes.

"Wherever you want! We'll take Ellia and the others with us. Let's just leave somewhere safe and live peacefully… I… I'll even forget about revenge…"

Her voice was low, quivering as she earnestly implored him.

However, Davis was utterly stunned.

He had never seen this woman before him.

He understood that she was asking him to throw Fallen Heaven away because that was what they initially speculated about manipulating them into killing each other, so he could understand why she would fear it if she wanted to be with him.

However, where would they go then?

Did this woman not hear when the Guardians said that there wasn't a way out of this world unless they ascended? And even if they did ascend, would the three psychos after them leave them alone?

Her words were bordering on desperation, but they also told him how feminine she was. There was never a time she was this vulnerable, and there was never a time that he looked at her with such gentleness that his eyes softened while looking at her.

Yet, he knew that he would probably never see this… vulnerable side of her again with what he was going to say as he raised his hand and touched her cheek over her silky veil.

"I love you, Myria. However, I must say that I can't do that for reasons you are already aware of."

Myria's eyes glistened. Her wavering heart seeped with a cold chill that caused her to blink, allowing reason to return to her eyes. Yet, reason was cruel, her eyes gleaming with a cold light as she smiled.

"Is that so?"

Abruptly, her veil came off, stunning Davis as he looked at her beautiful face.

She pressed on, leaning into his embrace, which caused Davis to be shaken. Her face was right before him, inches away from kissing him. Her lips closed in. However, she raised her hand and placed a finger on his lips, blocking them from kissing.

"Forget what I said…"

Their foreheads connected, but by the time he realized the meaning of her words, he blinked.

When he finished blinking, there was no one in front of him.

He blinked again, unable to remember why he was staring at nothing. He turned to look around and found Myria looking into the distance at the edge of the mountain peak. But for some reason, he saw that her back was lonely.

However, he was still confused, raising his head to look at the clear skies.

Had he just come out of the meeting with the Guardians? Why did it feel like he had been here for some time already? He felt a sense of deja vu.

'Wait… the sun's position is off by a few degrees…!'

"You… you sealed a part of my memories, didn't you!?"

Davis pointed at Myria, his voice furious.

Myria's shoulders trembled, but when she turned around, she appeared like she was smiling brightly.

"You found out so quickly…"

She giggled, "I'm sure you would be able to break it if you wanted to. However, the seal is crafted with my true soul essence. Breaking it would mean causing unrecoverable damage to my soul."

"What…?"

Davis was stumped. What the hell had happened?

However, he saw Myria moving back as she stood on the edge of the cliff, her gaze holding innumerable emotions. For a moment, he thought she was going to commit suicide, but was he kidding? She was a cultivator who could fly.

"If you think you can heal me after breaking it, then don't bother."

But Myria really just fell back and dropped into the cliff, causing him to quickly rush to the edge!

However, when he looked down, he saw that she wasn't present.

"After all, you would have already made the decision to harm me, the woman you claim to love so badly."

Her words resounded from the void, causing his expression to churn as he bellowed out.

"Myria, come back here!"

But even after a few seconds, there was no response, causing his clenched fists to loosen before he re-clenched again.

"Nadia, what's going on here?"
