"Yotan, you have been looking after this island like it's your territory, not leaving any stones unturned as you kept it safe. What do you want from me?"

A whisper fell in Yotan's ears, "Praise? Rewards? Or…"

Yotan trembled as she could feel his hot breath over her neck, causing her to tremble.

The others dined as they sneakily smiled at her, watching this go on as vengeance seeped inside their hearts. After all, Davis made them blush the same. Since they were embarrassed, everyone else should be bestowed the same.

"… Freedom?"

Davis gained some distance from her face and added.

Yotan's blush became even more pronounced as she imagined something else. She kept the bone she ripped clean down and tried to stand up, but Davis pushed her shoulders down.

"At ease. Today, you're like a guest, so don't be bothered about formalities."

"…"

Yotan felt great pressure falling on her shoulders other than the weight he applied on her. Like everyone else, she wasn't veiled as well, so her blush was plain to be seen. She took a light breath and turned to look at him.

"I don't want freedom. I am and will always be the commander of Reaper Soul Legion until I die."

Davis and everyone else couldn't help but smile as they heard Yotan's answer.

This woman probably never knew how to be greedy or desirous.

However, they couldn't help but hold immense respect for her.

Under her leadership, the Reaper Soul Legion didn't just defend.

They had officially joined the Aurora Cloud Gate, becoming its disciples. They were all Immortal Kings. They have grown to such an extent that even their least powerful soul warrior was still a core disciple, even as an Immortal King.

And since the Reaper Soul Legion always acted as a group consisting of three divisions under the leadership of their captains, it started accumulating immense influence amongst the Aurora Cloud Gate's disciples.

How? Because their Solitary Soul Avatars didn't stay on the island to defend but went out, doing missions and accumulating massive amounts of contribution points.

Their completion rate was such that it caused numerous eyes to pop out with shock.

And since they had joined Davis- no, Isabella's Phantasm Verge Alliance, the number of contribution points they earned would be deposited into the alliance's treasury, also allowing Evelynn and the others to buy as many resources as they want without going out.

Indeed, Yotan adopted such a method to repay them back. She wasn't satisfied with defending alone but also didn't want to do something drastic like going crazy to prove herself, so she devised a way to simply have their avatars do the work for them.

And unlike Evelynn and the other wives, the Reaper Soul Legion simply wasn't afraid of being targeted by karmic attacks because they weren't important enough to be shown consideration by enemies, which made them free to travel around the world although they kept their activities restricted in the current Domain.

There were deaths while doing missions, but since it was merely their Solitary Soul Avatars and the death rate was not even five percent, they weren't bothered as their divisions still went strong.

Regardless, everyone knew Yotan's contribution was praiseworthy as she didn't simply settle for complacency on this secure island and the constant replenishment of resources given to them by their Legion Master. She kept striving for more and didn't disappoint them at all. Some were even jealous that she could prove herself like this but thinking again, they knew what she wanted the most but was too conservative to even reveal it.

"What are you doing? Schleya escaped."

Suddenly Davis received a soul transmission from Mingzhi, causing him to look away as he saw Schleya's figure leaving the hall.

He almost laughed out loud as he found her incredibly cute.

However, he didn't say anything as his focus went back to Yotan as he talked more about her plans to improve the Reaper Soul Legion. As he didn't have time to look after his own troops, her plans were a lifesaver to him.

"You said it, so you cannot leave me, okay?"

"Yes."

Davis patted Yotan's head lightly, causing her to answer quickly, but realizing the meaning, she was stunned again.

"You-"

She was just about to ask but saw him return to his seat. However, when she panned her gaze around, she saw them all nodding their heads with strange smiles.

Was that an indirect admission of his affection toward her?

Her cheeks became warmer, making her feel like her face was painted crimson right now that she took her handkerchief out and began wiping her lips as she hid her face in embarrassment and joy that even tears clouded her eyes.

The others giggled as they saw Yotan being moved, knowing that she was going to experience more of that sweetness if she stayed with them.

"Ah, this is so good for meat coming from that bastard." Shirley sighed as she reclined on her seat, rubbing her stomach.

"Well, meat is meat…"

Fiora giggled, still dining with a satisfied expression while her lips were full of grease.

"True. Even humans are beasts." Mingzhi giggled as she turned to look at two big beasts at the center of the table, "Isn't that right, Nadia and Everlight? You two will literally eat Davis if given a chance."

"No!"

"Ahaha~"

Nadia and Everlight yelled out at the same time, causing everyone to laugh. However, they all knew Davis was tasty to them because of his soul physique. If they truly ate him, then their prowess would grow by leaps and bounds.

For Everlight, it was even a shortcut to crossing her heavenly tribulation.

However, they loved him dearly, so there was not a single chance that they would do something like that.

They had a good laugh about chopping Davis up before Shirley sighed again.

"Revenge feels good. I wish that bastard was dead about now, but since he is useful at the moment, let him be."

"What's he up to?" Isabella seemed curious.

"Well, he's just fucking around in his misery, but as for war preparations, the Fire Phoenix Clan is on standby after the Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts popped up. After they confirm that no Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts would appear, they would likely restart the war again, but I'm also aware that he paid immense bounties on our heads to assassins except the Ghost Tear Hall, so remain cautious."

"Threelotus, you have one on your head too." Davis chuckled.

"Wo?"

Threelotus was caught with a big piece of meat in her mouth.

"…"

The shape of it was suspicious, but they recognized it was just a large chunk taken from Everlight's dish.

Threelotus quickly ate and gulped, "Why would I have an assassination bounty on my head?"

"Who told you to be exemplary and reach the thirtieth rank in True Disciple Immortal King Rankings?" Isabella giggled while Threelotus gaped.

"Wasn't that supposed to be a good thing? Why am I being targeted for it!?"

She cried out, thinking that it would get her praise, but she got nothing but a bounty on her head, pouting at Yotan because she got all the praise.

Her aggrieved expression invoked another round of laughter before she pouted.

However, she wasn't the only one here who felt like they were both a part and not a part of this gathering.

There was Stella, Mystic Diviner Hailac, Esvele, Mira, Freya, Lereza, Zephya, Starcy, and Wisteria. They also enjoyed the sumptuous fire phoenix meat, although they simply felt like outsiders when it came to certain matters.

But they did engage in chat with the others, making it comfortable for them.

Shortly, they got a visitor. It was none other than Mu Bing, so they also had her dine in.

However, Davis excused himself until the night and left the hall.

After all, Mu Bing came with a delivery.

Davis opened the jade container with a wry smile. It was the one he had sent to Myria, his severed arm returned back to him. However, he narrowed his brows as he sensed that only nine percent of his blood essence remained.

'What…? She returned my arm but took a percent of my blood essence…?'

He couldn't help but smile, wondering if she kept it to keep tabs on his location.

'That works too...'

Davis invoked his karmic tendrils and saw the tendril connected to his blood. With this, he likewise could keep tabs on Myria's location. His original intention was to naturally suffer for the mistake but also make use of it. He also knew that Myria would know of his plan.

If not, wouldn't she have destroyed the severed arm?

'It's just as Fallen Heaven said. Myria likes me but doesn't want to initiate anything… and even went as far as to seal my memories which probably had some intimacy. Why? Because we have enemies who are almost invincible? It's understandable but- Is harming herself the only answer she knows?'

Davis's face scrunched up in worry, thinking that Myria always tries to take on matters by herself but, by doing so, ends up harming herself. He wondered why she still didn't want to place faith in him, thinking if she was afraid that he would use resort to crazy lengths like using Fallen Heaven.

However, he quickly remembered what Saintess Lunaria had said.

Was him being alive really that miraculous?

He felt like he was doing a fine job of not using Fallen Heaven, unlike what his predecessors did. Even then, was it impossible to be alive this long with it?

"Fallen Heaven, I have a few questions that I want you to answer without dodging them."

Knowing that even learning truths sometimes changed the flow of the general future, Davis heaved a heavy breath before he asked.
