Divine Emperor of Death

3050 Chancing Upon

*Boom!~*

A sudden burst of energy exploded on a two-hundred-meter-long giant rabbit, causing it to explode into a blood mist. The immortals before its bursting body could see the space ripples emerging from within, warping the fabric as the punch unleashed created a mesmerizing visual spectacle.

However, the power unleashed from the punch didn't seem to stop.

The air distorted and bent along the burst of energy, erupting outwards, creating shockwaves spreading forward to the rabbits pouncing onto them.

Sure enough, they met the same fate as the giant rabbit that exploded.

The Immortal Emperor Stage feral rabbits came to an abrupt stop as they felt space entrap them as though the punch carried the entire weight of a collapsing mountain, crushing them before all the force that gathered at the center exploded outwardly the next moment.

"Not quite right…"

Davis muttered under his breath. He was trying to combine spatial attributes with the chaotic energy, but the attack was too slow for it to be able to catch an opponent at the level of Mid Immortal Emperor Stage.

These Early Immortal Emperor Stage feral rabbits were too slow in his eyes that they became practice material for him.

Tina's eyes were gleaming as she looked at him.

From the start till now, he never wavered. His senses were on point, looking out for dangers. He allowed them to stay together. If not, she imagined that she would be lost right now. Perhaps, recognizing that fact, even Myria didn't say a word as she followed him around.

"Where are we going?"

Bylai couldn't help but ask curiously. They saw Davis have a talisman in his other hand that seemed to float in a direction when let go of.

"Well, since the situation is quite dire for our side, I'm going to first regroup with the youths from the Central Primesky Alliance as I have promised my brothers that I would protect them… although it seems like they're scattered and are gathering around each other as we speak…"

Davis took out two more talismans and let them float. They moved in different directions, allowing them all to understand that these pointed towards the directions of the three major powers of the Central Primesky Alliance, at least their leaders, as all fifteen of them might have gotten separated.

"Secondly, I'd like to go find the location of the entrance where we came from before finally starting to hunt for treasures. Does anyone have any questions?"

"If it's the entrance, I've already marked it."

"…!?"

Myria casually put in a few words, causing Davis to be dumbfounded as he turned to look at her.

"How?"

"It's basics of the basics in adventuring dangerous lands. You have to leave a mark near the entrance after entering a secret realm. Otherwise, you'll easily get lost and die in vain."

She uttered as though it wasn't a big deal, leaving Davis and the others speechless.

'Well, cultivators usually mark the location with their souls in a hidden spot so that they don't get fooled or taken advantage of… but you are you alright…'

Davis felt like he had to praise her for being quick about it. After all, Myria's soul prowess was probably the highest in the Immortal King Stage that people would find it hard to discover any soul marks she left behind.

He could've also marked the location with his soul force, but after he sensed the spatial undulations, he didn't have time to mark anything, quickly using his power to protect them instead.

Nevertheless, since he didn't notice her movements, he guessed that she did it immediately after exiting the secret realm where their senses start adjusting to their environment, especially to the environment filled with a different yet pure heaven and earth energy.

"Although I'm two levels behind you, I'll catch up to you in no time."

Davis declared as though issuing a challenge, causing Myria to smile lightly behind her veil as she looked at him with a strange gleam in her eyes. It was unknown if she was scoffing or welcoming the challenge.

Nonetheless, Davis led the entourage, and they eventually came across a group of people from their First Haven World.

"Get lost."

Davis uttered as he looked at a group of seven men and women trying to join his group. It was unknown how they exited the illusion formation, but he determined that they must've already used up their protective talismans or trump cards for them to lower their heads before him.

"Emperor of Death, please have mercy. The magical beasts around us are too strong for us to handle. We even have an alchemist and two forgemasters amongst us who can help your esteemed character when required. We don't ask for much. Just allow us to follow you from a few kilometers behind."

A black-robed man with a pale countenance uttered as he had his hands cupped, his forehead perspiring. It was not only him who appeared sweaty and nervous but also the others as they kept their heads lowered.

It could be seen that they were tired from using a lot of energy, perhaps from battling the Feral Beasts.

"…"

Davis felt troubled, wondering where this pushy bunch came from.

From the difference in the making of their attire, he could see none of them were related, banding together to survive in this foreign land, so he supposed that he could at least agree for them to follow him from a few kilometers behind.

However, he didn't understand how they could shamelessly appear and ask for his help when he was supposed to be public enemy number one just because he was an Anarchic Divergent. Shouldn't people die than seek his help and implicate their powers? Was this their greed for life showing?

"Emperor of Death, I think I saw an environment that might lead to a treasure."

"Hm?"

Davis's gaze fell on a blue-robed woman. From her unique attire, similar to what alchemists wore, and the words she just stated, he could see that she was someone proficient in identifying herbs and such than just concocting pills.

"I… I'm eighty percent positive that it's a Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasure of the fire attribute..."

Despite what she uttered, she spoke hesitantly.

However, Davis's eyes gleamed as he beckoned her to come closer, causing her to step forward with some nervousness.

"You can come with us. The rest can stay ten kilometers away from us."

The blue-robed woman's gaze shook while the rest were overjoyed. Ten kilometers? That was practically only a second away from them if they used their full speed, which also meant that the Emperor of Death could save them from death if he so wished.

They couldn't help but want to praise the blue-robed woman, although feeling complicated because they didn't know if she was telling the truth or farting words to merely keep the Emperor of Death interested, in which case, they knew if he sensed that it was a lie, then it was over for them.

However, Myria saw Davis ask for more details from that blue-robed woman, allowing her to understand that his Heart Intent inferred that there was no or little falsehood in her words.

Listening to her words, Davis allowed her to take the lead before they arrived at the aforementioned characteristics of the treasure she spotted sometime later. The soil here was crimson in color, and the roots spread from the inner area.

They followed her into the so-called inner area before they saw all those roots pummel into an eye-popping big crimson mushroom as tall as a house! The very sight of it was rather unreal as they had never seen a naturally occurring resource of this size, causing one to wonder exactly how this would be used in ingredient refining and pill concoction.

Nonetheless, while hidden, they saw the problem wasn't the resource but how to harvest the resource.

'Sure enough… it's being guarded by a Mid Stage Immortal Emperor Feral Beast and a few lackeys….'

Davis looked at the giant flaming deers sniffing the mushroom head and getting all high as fiery smoke erupted out of their nostrils.

"…"

Not only his but everyone's reaction as they saw this scene was along the lines of— What the fuck?

They could never imagine an Immortal Emperor existence appearing to be addicted as these deers. But they could indeed see that with each breath, the crimson deer appeared to grow stronger bit by bit.

"This is a Blazing Embercap Mushroom that increases yang and fire energy, allowing one to comprehend both Laws. It's a heavenly treasure, perfect for flame-attribute cultivators of the Immortal Emperor Stage to increase their virility, allowing them to have better chances at creating a progeny."

"However, this mushroom seems to have undergone a change, greatly adapting to the environment that it has more fire energy than yang, meaning that it crossed its maturity point long ago and is now clearing a path for evolution."

However, things became clear when Dalila explained the change as she was full of wonder, causing even the blue-robed woman to be shocked that she was able to see through all of this in an instant.

As far as she knew, the Blazing Embercap Mushroom was indeed a heavenly resource that required five hundred thousand years to reach the point of maturity, but anything more than that was in the realm of evolution, which couldn't be studied unless one knew the entire structure of the lifeform, able to predict its growth path.

Davis almost whistled hearing Dalila's explanation, turning impressed, but he turned to glance at his Sophie, who held a needy gleam in her eyes.

It hadn't been even an hour since they entered this secret realm, but they had already found such a heavenly resource, not to mention that this treasure was practically made for her, causing her to become excited!
