Knox Ransell and Knoll Ransell clenched their teeth in frustration.

They had planned so much and waited a while to capture the beast, but what they all met with was this calamity that they'd been told to avoid.

"Aoo!"

The Moltenscale Dragon roared with its jaws almost stretched as far as possible, the remaining ice star lance forming cracks from its sheer force. Even with the earthen chains restricting its physical force and flame energy, its flame energy was somehow unleashed from its mouth like dragon breath, the flames coalescing into a gigantic wave, incinerating the wild forest in front of it while also trying to melt the ice starlance.

"Looks like we haven't got much time to be talking leisurely."

Davis let out a disappointed sigh.

His undulations burst forth as the aura of life and death encompassed the atmosphere, causing the feral beast and the beast tamers alike to be frozen stiff as they shuddered. However, it was only for a moment as the Moltenscale Dragon began thrashing again, but this time, it flailed so heavily that its tail crashed into everything, destroying the scenery as though its life depended on it.

Davis's eyes gleamed.

"Wait…!"

He was about to cast a technique when the beast tamers called out to him.

It was the elder brother Knox Ransell.

"We can't give you our Beast Autarch's Hundred and Eight Bond Beastweaver Taming Art even if we die, literally, but if it's the other techniques, then we might be able to come to a deal."

"Quick, let us sedate the feral beast. Otherwise, it would be too late."

The younger brother, Knoll Ransell, seemed more worried about not letting the dragon escape, appearing to want to tame it so badly.

Davis heard the desperation in their tones, allowing him to know how important this endeavor was to them. Perhaps it was more than taming the beast. He thought for a moment before moving away.

"Make it fast, or if it escapes, I'm hunting you two by taming it."

The Ransell's expressions twitched as they heard the Emperor of Death boast like he understood beast-taming arts as well as them. Nonetheless, they quickly got onto it, swiftly appearing before the hold created on its head, and threw a pill into its nostrils, which exploded into black smoke.

The Moltenscale Dragon was, of course, breathing heavily as it struggled, so when the pill exploded into a puff of strange smoke, it swiftly inhaled everything. Within two seconds, the Moltenscale Dragon's struggle began to die down, and by the fifteenth second, its body stopped moving.

Only after a minute did its tail stop flailing, its body completely coming to rest as it closed its eyes.

Just like that, a Late Stage Immortal Emperor Feral Beast was made to sleep, causing Davis to be impressed, knowing that they also equally used a sleep-inducing pill at the Late Immortal Emperor Stage to get this result, but of course, this only happened quick because it was already trapped with its energy sealed.

Otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to sedate it.

"Now move away from the Moltenscale dragon."

Davis raised his hand, his fingertips crackling with crimson-silver lightning.

The air grew tense with Davis catching them within range, but the twins did as he said, moving away a few kilometers before they looked at him with displeased expressions.

"What is the meaning of this?"

"No meaning. You will not be near the Moltenscale Dragon unless you hand over the beast-taming arts I require."

Davis lazily spoke, adding further, "I don't care if you need this dragon to cure someone of fire-attributed poison or not. Just hand over all the beast-taming arts you people have."

"…"

The twins shivered, appearing a bit wide-eyed as they gazed at him, unable to understand if he was a bandit or a cunning Anarchic Divergent.

With the Moltenscale Dragon subdued, Myria and the others also neared him, but eventually, only Myria sent a soul body to him, garnering the situation from him.

As for the twins, they looked at each other as though talking through soul transmission before they finally returned their gaze to Davis.

"Alright. We shall not waste time haggling as it's almost time for the realm concoction to begin in a few days. There are plenty of feral beasts stronger than this dragon in the central region but since we badly need it, as you figured out, we are willing to pay a big price."

Knox Ransell flicked his sleeves and sent out as many as five jade crystals.

"Here are five beast-taming arts that are top-tier when one excluded the Hundred and Eight Bond Beastweaver Taming Art. That's all we have, so if you can excuse us-"

"Not so fast."

Davis stopped them from nearing as he waved his hand, causing the twins to clench their teeth.

"What's the hurry? She will check them."

Davis titled his head at Myria's soul body while she had already received the jade crystals and began to look through them. She took a minute to verify each jade crystal, leaving no stones unturned, but the passage of time made the Ransells wonder if these people were going to be unscrupulous, claiming that it was not enough or they were given fake beast-taming arts.

They had seen too many cases of unscrupulous business practices back in their family, so their suspicion ran deep.

"…"

But two seconds later, they were shocked to see the woman nod while the Emperor of Death also acquiesced and just left.

He didn't say anything. The Anarchic Divergent's group continued to travel toward the central region, heading further and further away from them before they completely disappeared from their horizon.

"No way…"

"He's reasonable as Ralaza Heavenshade claimed him to be…"

Knox Ransell and Knoll Ransell expressed their disbelief over this situation they didn't expect. Of course, they loved this development where they got the Moltenscale Dragon, but they felt like they got it so easily when the Emperor of Death's foremost demand was to hand him their Hundred and Eight Bond Beastweaver Taming Art.

They imagined that they would be bullied for it, at the very least, but they were let go after completing a single deal.

"Sigh. Although we lucked out, his luck seems to end here."

"Yes. With him having an eye for treasures, there's no way he would not fall prey to them."

Knoll Ransell and Knox Ransell smiled ever so lightly as they didn't believe the Emperor of Death or his group would be able to cross the path ahead.

"You lucked out."

In the distance, Myria's lips curled at Davis as she gave him the five jade crystals, finally making him look into them by himself.

"All these beast-taming arts are from famous sects in the Beats Autarch Upper Realm, so none of them should have any flaws in case you want to use them. However, I must ask you to be careful as using these techniques will reduce the capacity of soul force you possess in exchange for having many nodes where you can carry these beasts, resulting in you being unable to use your powerful soul techniques."

"Oh?"

Davis reacted. However, his focus wasn't on Myria's warning but on a vast crevice in the distance where the earth seemed to be split apart into what would appear to be a vast ocean, and when they arrived at the edge, they saw it was a vast chasm, an abyss that radiated a bit of heat as the air distorted in front of them.
