[You died.]

[You died under Fate's buff while in Chaos Hearth. Since you were the one on whom Fate turned its sight this time, you will not receive any penalties and your rebirth will be greatly accelerated.]

[You will appear in Landow Village, in three hours!]

Zayne opened his eyes as he found himself in the midst of vast darkness. In front of him was a massive hourglass, inside which were millions of white grains of sand slowly flowing down. It was a report before he got a new life.

"Well, well, I might have won, but I died on my first day of play, though... wait... What time is it in the real world now?" Zayne muttered as he closed his eyes to exit.

He wanted to keep playing, but since he couldn't do that for the next three hours, his best option was to rest after a hard fight.

Crackle.

The lid of the capsule opened with a light stream of steam as Zayne emerged with an exhausted look. He picked up his phone to check the time.

"8 PM... That means technically I died the second day after launch, right?" Zayne spoke with a bitter smile, "I didn't even notice it had been that long, so what should I do now? Maybe I should go to bed?"

Zayne sighed, shook his head, and walked toward the bathroom. He washed his face with cold water to refresh himself and looked in the mirror that besides the small broken part was still intact. In the reflection, Zayne saw a guy with thick black hair and blue eyes.

'How strange...' Zayne inwardly muttered as he touched his face, 'My gaze is tired which is obvious considering I've spent over ten hours straight in the capsule, but it's like the fatigue isn't affecting me from the outside, only inside since my body is fine.'

Zayne stared in the mirror for a while until something strange happened, it was unknown if it was a hallucination, but behind him appeared a massive dark silhouette with creepy red eyes and thick black fur capable of scaring any creature.

"Hah, though my body is still full of energy, my mind is certainly drained. So far you are the only one who has made me truly afraid." Zayne said with a bitter smile while the black wolf silhouette slowly dissipated, "Well, I definitely don't want to sleep, but I need to relax."

Zayne drank a glass of water, threw on his coat, and left the house. It was raining lightly outside, so Zayne covered himself with a hood, which also protected him from the cold wind.

...

Thirty minutes later Zayne was sitting in the park, drinking bitter but very hot coffee that could easily have warmed him on such a freezing evening.

"Agh... When I was a kid I didn't understand how it was possible to drink coffee without sugar or milk, but it seems that as we get older we begin to have an understanding of bitterness as if it were the hardships of life..." Zayne whispered with a slight sigh before taking a sip.

Crackle.

Two people sat on the bench behind Zayne, they too had coffee, but sweet and not at all dark since it was diluted with milk.

"Damn, this game is incredible!" The girl said with an excited expression, "I want to play it more and more! I hope someday I can make money in Fallen Fate Online to play it all the time!"

"Hah, I'd be happy if you could make it, but I don't know if you will." The guy smirked as he adjusted his glasses, "Becoming a professional player is very difficult, only one in a thousand can make good money playing in Fallen Fate Online."

"Agh... You're probably right, though I'll still try." The girl sighed as she pulled her phone out of her pocket, "I wonder if anything important happened during our walk?"

Zayne sighed, enjoying the smell of coffee, 'Make money in Fallen Fate Online? Well, I might be able to, even though I died on the first day of launch, but hopefully, that man's offer still stands.'

"What the hell...?" The girl muttered in disbelief with her eyes wide open when she saw the lead article in all the news, "That guy... He did something incredible again!"

"Hmm...?" Her mate leaned over to look into her phone as his gaze was shocked, "Fallen Fate Online only came out a day ago, but he's already made the most talked about news twice. I don't know if you can be a pro player, but he... Zayne Fellen is already way ahead."

'What did he just say...?' Zayne inwardly spoke as he got goosebumps, 'This is the second time I've been in major news...? What the hell is going on here!?'

Zayne hurriedly went to the most popular site on Fallen Fate Online and immediately saw a massive announcement with his name on it.

'How is that possible? Three-Eyed turned out to be so important, but he was not at all as scary as Black Wolf." Zayne whispered in disbelief, "Hah, it looks like I need to get back in the game as soon as possible, luck is definitely on my side today."

Zayne saw this as a chance to make some money and get a good offer from someone, he just didn't realize yet that not only online but also on TV started talking about him. Everyone was shocked by the message that appeared in front of every player, it caused a storm of emotions for people. Ironically, Zayne was the only one who didn't see the message.

It was about two hours before he could play again, so Zayne decided to use that time to get some sleep. Perhaps the coffee should have prevented him from doing so, but it couldn't handle the mental fatigue, so Zayne fell asleep rather quickly.

Dzinnng! Dzinnng! Dzinnng!

"Agh... Maybe I should have slept more, but I just can't wait to see the aftermath of the battle." Zayne said with a slight smile, turning off the alarm clock and struggling to get out of bed.

He made his way to the capsule, opened it with a touch of his palm, and climbed inside. The darkness completely engulfed him again as he found himself in front of a massive hourglass, the top of which was already almost empty.

"I don't know who invented these capsules, but this one is definitely a genius. I feel better every second, it's too cool!" Zayne exclaimed with an excited look at a moment when the last grains of sand fell down.

The hourglass shattered into tiny shards as Zayne was draped in a white beam moving toward the place of his rebirth, as suddenly he heard a loud sound.

[The remaining power of the Chaos Hearth is trying to prevent you from being reborn! You will not appear in Landow Village! The point of your rebirth has been shifted to the place of your death!]

[The powers of the Chaos Hearth have completely expired!]

Zayne was puzzled, but he didn't have time to understand anything as the next moment he found himself next to a massive stalactite thrust into the ground as well as a wide stain of already dried blood.

"I don't know what happened, but that view makes me shudder... Now I realize how incredible our fight really was." Zayne muttered as multiple messages appeared before him.
