TL: Moonlit

The little dormouse used the rounded end of a pen to poke a small dent in his chubby cheek. Ultimately, he made a firm decision to temporarily abandon writing the hibernation plan and focus all his energy on transforming the energy stone.

Without a stable hibernation environment, the hibernation plan would be inaccurate. It was not just for the humanoid pet but also for himself. Shu Shuishui needed to quickly gather seventy-two top-grade spiritual stones. As for the high-grade spiritual stones, considering the large quantity required, Shu Shuishui didn’t feel very motivated to collect them. However, if the energy stone couldn’t reach the level of a top-grade spiritual stone after the transformation, Shu Shuishui would have to strive for seven thousand two hundred high-grade spiritual stones.

After finishing the plan, Shu Shuishui felt much more relaxed. It was still early, so he decided not to leave the room. He held the energy stone and started experimenting one by one. Starting with the simplest method, Shu Shuishui attempted to directly extract the energy from the energy stone using his own spiritual power.

However, he quickly realized that this method was not feasible. The energy within the stone was highly concentrated and well fused. Simply relying on his own power was unable to extract the energy or disrupt the internal energy. No wonder it was called a tooth-breaking energy stone—it had not only high hardness but also extremely stable internal energy, which allowed it to solidify into a solid state.

Shu Shuishui put down the energy stone and picked up a slender pen. He carefully crossed out the first plan in his notebook and continued with the next one, attempting to induce energy variations in the energy stone using top-grade spiritual stones as a medium.

In the end, this method also failed. However, Shu Shuishui didn’t feel discouraged. He crossed out the second option in the notebook and moved on to the next one.

Shu Shuishui tried all the fast methods but didn’t succeed. However, this result was within his expectations. Energy stones that could be widely found in the galaxy and solidify into a solid state were bound to be extremely stable. Among the non-spiritual stones it had encountered, the hardest one was a diamond, commonly known as “Zuan Shi.”

However, Shu Shuishui didn’t find this thing useful. It couldn’t be used for sleeping or eating, only for grinding teeth without worrying about wearing them down. Later, after starting cultivation and having a treasure-seeking mouse by his side, Shu Shuishui repeatedly realized that there were many spiritual stones and minerals harder than diamonds.

Shu Shuishui thought that if the energy stone couldn’t be purified for use, he would have to try smelting it through the method of refining tools. Then, he would need to purify it. However, this made the process much more complicated. First, he would need a refining furnace, which he had a small one in his spiritual storage space that he had previously used to cook beans. He would also require spiritual fire seeds. Furthermore, Shu Shuishui would need to master refining skills proficiently.

Looking at his tiny paws, Shu Shuishui felt that refining tools and alchemy, such high-difficulty activities, should be attempted after it underwent transformation. The success rate would be much higher.

Shaking his little head vigorously, Shu Shuishui brought his wandering thoughts back. He continued with the transformation plan by using arrays to assist in purifying the energy stone. This method was more complex and time-consuming compared to others. To find the most effective array quickly, Shu Shuishui decided to crush the energy stone into uniform small pieces and try different arrays one by one.

Hesitating while holding the energy stone, Shu Shuishui thought it would be better to find Gu Langu. After all, Gu Langu had been eating energy stones as food and might know a method to crush them.

In the first-floor conference room, Yu Jin and Nan Ge had already discussed the migration route, resources, vehicles, and personnel. They had also determined the final migration destination, which happened to be the small town not far from the “treasured land” Shu Shuishui mentioned.

Nan Ge was about to go out and discuss the migration matters with Fei Luo and Hu Sichen. As he opened the door, he almost stepped on Shu Shuishui, who was standing right outside. Luckily, noticed the little dormouse with a noticeable energy stone, picked him up, and placed him on the table.

Seeing this, Yu Jin reached out his hand and was about to touch Shu Shuishui’s little head. “Poor Shuishui, do you want to go out and work with your big brother?”

Shu Shuishui tilted his little head and dodged Yu Jin’s finger, then trotted over to Gu Langu.

Yu Jin immediately retracted his hand, afraid that Gu Langu might get angry and chop it off.

Shu Shuishui turned his head and retorted, “Work? That’s nonexistent in Shuishui’s life.”

“But aren’t you very poor?” Yu Jin remembered the scene of Shu Shuishui lamenting about being poor.

Shu Shuishui nodded earnestly. “Yes, I am poor, but richer than you.”

Yu Jin was speechless, not understanding how Shu Shuishui arrived at that conclusion.

Shu Shuishui continued, “Even a skinny Shuishui is bigger than Yu Jin. That’s because I’m furry.”

Yu Jin “…”

Unable to communicate further, Yu Jin tactfully refrained from asking. Don’t ask, even if you ask, you won’t understand.

Shu Shuishui held the energy stone and hesitated for a moment, then decided to find Gu Langu. Since Gu Langu had been eating energy stones as food, it should know how to crush them.

In a moment, the conference room was filled with the scent of toothpaste. Shu Shuishui looked at Gu Langu with some guilt and said, “Tonight, I’ll brush your teeth.”

Gu Langu’s eyes lit up slightly. “Okay.”

Yu Jin “…”

Oh, he seemed to understand why they didn’t use an energy stone cutting machine. An indifferent expression crossed his face.

Yu Jin thought the scene was a bit dazzling, so he quickly slipped out to prepare for the migration. Nan Ge went to communicate with other forces, while Yu Jin went to notify the people in his base.

Gu Langu held the crushed energy stone in one hand and held the little dormouse in the other, feeling like a winner in life as they ascended to the second floor.

Meanwhile, Shu Shuishui returned to the bedroom and couldn’t wait to start experimenting with his array transformation plan.

The energy stone had been divided into small pieces, so the arrays needed for the transformation were naturally not large. To facilitate the communication of spiritual energy within the arrays, Shu Shuishui took out a pen and sketched the preliminary form of the array. Then, it embedded small pieces of spiritual stones in each required location.

Arrays had countless variations, and even minor differences could cause chain reactions. The ten arrays that Shu Shuishui selected were commonly used refining arrays. They consciously guided the energy within the energy stone to transform or decompose, leaving behind only pure spiritual energy that could be utilized.

Gu Langu sat by the edge of the bed, watching the busy little dormouse running around, holding strange pens to draw diagrams with solemn gestures, and constantly pulling things out of its mouth.

Without needing a closer look, Gu Langu could feel the difference in those transparent crystalline small stones that Shu Shuishui brought out. They seemed to share similarities with the energy stone but were much cleaner.

Watching the diligently busy little dormouse, Gu Langu didn’t interrupt. Other people might have been curious, but Gu Langu was someone without curiosity.

Gu Langu thought that the little dormouse, who was earnestly working, was exceptionally adorable. It ran around with transparent small stones and the energy stone, occasionally adjusting the positions of the stones and energy stone fragments, with his own bite marks on them.

Soon, one array was completed. The transparent small stones placed on the ground disappeared, replaced by slowly rotating halos. The traces Shu Shuishui had drawn on the floor earlier also glowed, and the intricate patterns slowly rotated along with the halos.

Just when Gu Langu had just comforted itself that it had no curiosity…

What on earth was this? There seemed to be no scientific basis for it, nor any high-tech equipment involved. But in front of them, the small glowing area, about the size of a plate, seemed filled with energy.

When all ten small arrays lit up, Shu Shuishui finally stopped its busy little steps, satisfied as he clapped his paws, having achieved great success. Now, all that was left was to wait.

Turning his small body around, Shu Shuishui prepared to explain briefly to Gu Langu. However, it saw that Gu Langu was still Gu Langu, sitting by the edge of the bed, but in one hand, it held a toothbrush cup, and in the other hand, it held a toothbrush with toothpaste already squeezed onto it. Gu Langu calmly spoke, “It’s late, time to wash up and sleep.”

Shu Shuishui instinctively turned his head to look outside the window. The sun was still shining brightly in the sky, and it was at most four o’clock in the afternoon.

Shu Shuishui’s little ears twitched. “Okay, okay! Let’s wash up and sleep!” After coming to this base, Shu Shuishui had been diligently adhering to a nine-to-five schedule. He rarely had the opportunity to sleep so early in such an open and honest manner, so he readily agreed.

Thus, with one person having planned in advance and one eagerly anticipating, both the person and the dormouse entered the bathroom, ready to wash up.

Gu Langu held the toothbrush cup in one hand and held Shu Shuishui in the other. Shu Shuishui held the toothbrush and was fulfilling their agreement to brush Gu Langu’s teeth.

To facilitate Shu Shuishui’s movements, Gu Langu had to open his mouth wide. It was not a very pleasing expression, and after a while, the muscles felt sore and swollen, but both were very earnest.

It was the first time Shu Shuishui had cleaned a humanoid pet, and he brushed very diligently, almost sticking his little head into Gu Langu’s mouth to check the cleanliness. Of course, the timid Shu Shuishui didn’t dare to do so.

“All done! Let’s go to sleep!” After making sure that every tooth was thoroughly cleaned, Shu Shuishui couldn’t wait to speak up.

After rinsing their mouths, both of them finished washing up, very satisfied with the automatic toothbrush’s service. Gu Langu held Shu Shuishui and returned to the bedroom, drew the curtains, and placed Shu Shuishui on the grass-green small bed.

At 4:40 in the afternoon, they bid each other goodnight, and then they entered the realm of dreams.

Meanwhile, Yu Jin and Nan Ge were working hard outside.
