Once Lei Zhen commanded the imperial guard, he and Griselda returned to Yors Castle in no time.

By the time they returned, they were then summoned by Princess Kate and King Francis Norton.

"Ah, Lei Zhen, you are finally here." Francis Norton smiled brightly the moment he saw Lei Zhen entering the Royal Palace alongside Griselda.

By his side was Princess Kate, who seemed to have matured greatly these days and looked even more beautiful.

"What's the matter?" Lei Zhen asked confusingly.

He hadn't even had the time to commence his plan and was summoned here.

If it wasn't anything urgent, then Lei Zhen wished to leave right now.

"A priest from the Holy Church in the City of Olympus had come after the news of our internal conflict arrived." Francis Norton said.

And he continued, "The Ferold's Ring that you brought in caught the priest's attention as they wished to meet with you."

'A priest huh?' Lei Zhen raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised by the unexpected guest.

Priests are considered one of the noble classes available in Magnolia as they heal and keep teammates alive.

In addition, they are a subclass of an Enchanter, making them a rare class as they are required to complete certain requirements to earn the priest class.

Nevertheless, he didn't expect an NPC priest would want to meet with him considering he had zero ties with any preaching or religion.

"I thought my job was done the moment I handed the Ferold's Ring over. Can't you see the priest on my behalf instead?" Lei Zhen asked, clearly not interested in meeting with the priest.

He had no interest in dealing with people that believed in religion because things usually get overly complicated for no reason.

Especially the name, Holy Church. It became such a household name for movies and novels he had read in the past, being portrayed as the corrupted ones.

Hence, there was naturally a biased view against the Holy Church, and Lei Zhen had no intention of partaking in their schemes.

"Lei Zhen, that's not good. The priest came from a far place to be here." Francis Norton said in a panic.

"Mhmm, priests are very respectable people, especially those from the Holy Church." Kate intervened and said, hoping that Lei Zhen would change his mind.

Seeing how the two of them are eager for him to meet with the priest, a little suspicion appeared in his mind.

'Is this priest related to the black mage's mission?' Lei Zhen thought to himself, thinking that the priest's arrival was too much of a coincidence.

A typical mindset of a priest is purifying evil beings, and the black mage just so happened to be categorized as an evil being that uses dark magic.

While he was pondering the matter, Griselda suddenly sent him a text message, telling him that it would be wise to meet the priest.

Turning around, he saw Griselda nodding her head slightly.

Since even the veteran player herself wanted him to meet the priest, so as to not disappoint anyone, Lei Zhen made a decision.

"Alright then, I shall leave the meeting to Griselda while I do something else." Lei Zhen chuckled softly and left the room.

What people want him to do, he shall do the opposite.

Why?

It's simple really, people are never up to good if they say this is for your own good.

After leaving hastily, Lei Zhen made his way to the Ministry of Defense where George and the head that was leading the sealing area of the swamp was present.

"Ah, Chancellor, you are finally here." George's expression became delighted when he saw Lei Zhen. "I heard you called Gerald over here because of some matter, right?"

Gerald was the name of the head and he looked extremely coy, giving Lei Zhen goosebumps.

'Why is a grown man like you acting shy and cute all of a sudden?' He cursed inwardly.

Little did he know, Gerald only acted in such a manner because of his status and rising popularity among Yors Castle.

His achievement in squashing the war and assisting Princess Kate had long spread throughout Yors Castle.

And even other neighboring countries and cities had heard about him. It wasn't wrong to say whoever obtained the favor of Lei Zhen was akin to ascending in the ranks.

"Gerald, I have something important to assign to you," Lei Zhen said calmly after taking a seat.

"Yes, Chancellor!"

Gerald suddenly increased his tone and stood up firm and tall, nearly shocking Lei Zhen to death for his action.

'What is wrong with everyone?' Lei Zhen cried inwardly, clearly not used to being respected at this level.

Ever since he was kicked out of the Lei Enterprise, most people had treated him as an invisible person. Yet a game like Magnolia could actually create this kind of effect, something he would never expect to garner.

"Anyway, Gerald, I want you to pick a group of experts specializing in scouting work. I've tracked the location that the black mage is currently hiding alongside Griselda, so this next task shall be up to you." Lei Zhen said, crossing his legs and sounding like a big shot.

"Yes, Chancellor. You can leave the work to me," Gerald was exhilarated to be assigned to such an important task. To him, this was an opportunity for him to shine and prove his worth.

"Good, here's the location of the supposed black mage hideout." Lei Zhen brought out a map that had an X symbol labeled on it. "This location here is covered in mist, so make sure to tell the people you picked to be extra careful. Also, the black mage is capable of summoning numerous monsters." Gerald nodded his head, memorizing the location on the map. "Rest assured, Chancellor. I'll bring back good news within 3 days."

"I'll wait for your good news then, Gerald." Lei Zhen said.

Just when he tried to continue speaking, the door was slammed open, and before Lei Zhen could comprehend the situation, he was dragged out by Griselda.

"Hmph, think you could run away? There is no escaping for you!"
