As Lei Zhen glanced at the hidden quest that was given to him, he started pondering whether to accept it or not.

After all, he was still a level 1 despite all these newly gained items he obtained.

He was already struggling to kill a Goblin Mob alone, and the hidden quest was obviously going to be a difficult quest. Even he knew his own limits that one should not reach for the sky before learning how to walk.

"Umm, Senior Robert, I'm afraid the hidden quest is above the capacity of my level," Lei Zhen managed to speak out his thought process. It wasn't that he was being a coward, but that he didn't want to disappoint Robert Knightman.

Given his limited ability, accepting the hidden quest would just be a waste of time and effort for Robert Knightman.

He took a deep breath and began his explanation since he could see the confusion in Robert's eyes.

"I'm just a level 1 person without much power, Senior Robert. The mission you give me is probably for some high-level adventurer, and I do not want to accept it just so I could obtain the items you gave me. A man must be responsible for his promises, and I don't even know if I can survive in the Lux Forest."

Others might call him a retard for rejecting this quest that seemed to be a godsend, but Lei Zhen knew what it meant to make a promise you can't fulfill.

He had already failed a person once in the past, and he does not want to fail another one again.

It was a heart-wrenching feeling to break a promise.

'I'm sure she must be cursing my whole generation right now…' Lei Zhen thought, reminiscing his past when he first met that beautiful western girl.

Swiftly, he shook his head to stop thinking about the past.

What qualification does he have to be dreaming about the impossible now?

Lei Zhen was a bit nervous when he saw Robert Knightman become silent with his eyes closed.

He knew that his rejection must have hurt his pride considering how Robert exuded the honorary knight aura. Despite that, it was better to be an honest person than be a deceitful liar.

Robert might be an NPC, but that does not mean you should lie to an NPC or even treat them like trash.

Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen was starting to feel the awkward atmosphere. Robert had been completely still and silent, prompting Lei Zhen to wonder if he had died from shock.

Just when Lei Zhen was ready to turn around and try to find an exit, Robert Knightman suddenly laughed aloud.

He was laughing so wildly that some of his mana was seeping out unconsciously, causing the nearby walls to vibrate.

Some debris was falling and Lei Zhen had to dodge to the left side to avoid getting hit by the debris.

"Senior Robert, what are you laughing at?" Lei Zhen turned around and asked him, feeling perplexed by his reaction.

Did he go insane from his rejection?

Robert Knightman laughed for a few more seconds before smiling heartedly at Lei Zhen.

"Haha, as expected of a person chosen by the goddess." He exclaimed loudly.

"If you were to simply accept my hidden quest, then I would have outright killed you. After all, the hidden quest isn't something you can do with your current capability. So how could you possibly accept it and promise me that you will accomplish it?"

"Huh? If you already knew that's the case, then why would you still give me the hidden quest?"

Lei Zhen was confused and couldn't understand the logic behind it. His IQ might be high, but his EQ was relatively low when it comes to things like this.

Meanwhile, Robert Knightman stepped forward and patted his shoulders.

"Young Lad, what I just did was to test your character and see if you would be blinded by greed. There were people in the past that had been here before, but they had all failed the test miserably. In their eyes, there was only greed and I could tell their nefarious intent already." He explained.

Ding!

[Robert Knightman had taken a liking toward you due to your honesty and personality.]

[You have now gained the approval seal of Robert Knightman and would have a friendly relationship with the knights of Yors]

Lei Zhen had his jaws wide open as he felt like his understanding of Magnolia was getting further and further. Normally, anyone would accept this kind of quest readily without thinking for a second.

Who would have thought the loophole and trick to scenery would be to reject his quest?

It was no wonder why nobody had ever succeeded in winning the approval of Robert Knightman. This game was simply illogical and insane for an average person to deduce.

And before Lei Zhen had noticed, the hidden quest was already accepted for him on behalf of the system. There wasn't even an option to accept or reject the quest anymore. It was like the game was practically forcing this quest down his throat.

Sometime later, Robert Knightman glanced at the ceiling and flashed a bittersweet smile.

"Ahh, the time has really passed by quickly when you meet a good person." He sighed softly before showing an apologetic look at Lei Zhen.

"You are probably confused as to why you are sent to the Lux Forest, but everything is in the correct motion. And now, I would like to apologize to you because this is actually a difficult action for me as well." He then apologized, causing Lei Zhen to raise an eyebrow.

"Why are you apologizing-"

Lei Zhen couldn't finish asking his question when Robert suddenly vanished from sight.

Before he noticed, his back was pierced by a longsword as he slowly turned around.

He held a baffled expression as he saw the smiling Robert waving his hand.

"See you, Lei Zhen. May you fulfill the prophecy of the goddess and begin your adventure."
