MMORPG: Crowd Control

48 Using the Environment

Currently, Lei Zhen had no tears of regret since he had provoked the Frenzied Wolf to no end. It was at the point that only one of them could get out alive.

And while he was distracted, 3 seconds had passed.

It doesn't take a genius to know what happened after 3 seconds.

"GRRRRR1" Once the Frenzied Wolf had broken free from the stun effect, it made a loud howling voice. Anger could be seen in its eyes since it was repeatedly immobilized by Lei Zhen.

"Hmph, get stunned again." Lei Zhen wasn't frightened by its howling sound as he tried to cast [Stun] on him again.

However, the Frenzied Wolf was swift enough this time to jump back and avoid the stun.

Being hit twice consecutively, it would be a fool to get hit again by the same skill. Although he couldn't move thanks to the stun effect, he was still able to study Lei Zhen's action carefully.

And in that short amount of time, it had learned when Lei Zhen would be casting a spell.

'Magnolia really needs to downgrade the intelligence of these monsters.' That was the only thought process going on in Lei Zhen's mind as he hurriedly turned around and began his retreat.

Alas, how could the Frenzied Wolf simply let Lei Zhen get away after humiliating him?

With its paw slamming on the ground, the Frenzied Wolf propelled himself forward and began to chase after Lei Zhen.

'Heh, keep chasing me, Frenzied Wolf. Did you really think I came here with only one plan in mind?' Lei Zhen sneered inwardly and continued to run to the previous location where he had set up a trap in advance.

There was no way he would dare to fight any monster solo when he can't even deal large amounts of damage to them.

Although setting traps beforehand could be considered shameless, it was the victor that wrote history.

Hence, who would know he won by shameless method if he can write the history himself?

'Sorry, Frenzied Wolf, but you've lost since the beginning.' Lei Zhen smiled and paused his movement.

When the Frenzied Wolf noticed Lei Zhen stopped running, he was jubilant at first, but then he became suspicious.

Why did the human suddenly stop running?

Did the human give up?

These were the doubts that were in the Frenzied Wolf's mind since it was dumbfounded by Lei Zhen's action.

Just when the Frenzied Wolf was going to act cautiously, Lei Zhen smiled and waved his hand.

"Thank you for not chasing me anymore. Oh, you are a good practice target, so I will find you again to stun you."

After saying that, Lei Zhen turned around and began walking in a carefree manner.

"GRRRRRR!" The Frenzied Wolf was triggered by his words and was enraged. Even though he could not comprehend human language, he could tell Lei Zhen was mocking him.

That was unacceptable for a hunter like him.

How could he allow a snobby brat to leave after taunting him over and over again?

Unable to hold its anger back, the Frenzied Wolf no longer cared about the abnormal behavior of Lei Zhen and pounced straight forward without hesitation.

Just when the Frenzied Wolf was an inch away from Lei Zhen and about to attack him, Lei Zhen took a step back, his hand holding a rope.

The rope was attached at the top of a tree branch, and before the Frenzied Wolf could determine what the rope would do, the ground beneath him started to scatter.

The Frenzied Wolf was astonished as it hurriedly extend its four legs to hold itself up and prevent itself from falling down.

Alas, Lei Zhen's face soon appeared in front of him. A cheeky smile could be seen on his face as he swung his staff.

"You know, I've fallen into a pit before, and it wasn't a good experience. So how about you do the same and tell me whether it's a good experience or not?" Lei Zhen said and poke his staff at the Frenzied Wolf's forehead.

Boop!

Just a light tap on its forehead with the staff, and the Frenzied Wolf instantly shot straight down at the pit that Lei Zhen had dug up earlier.

The fall created a loud sound and Lei Zhen wasted no time casting stun onto the Frenzied Wolf.

Now paralyzed, the Frenzied Wolf was helpless and could only watch Lei Zhen throwing some branches and leaves toward him.

"I might not be able to attack you since it won't deal much damage, but what if I burn you alive instead?"

This was the so-called saying of using the environment to his advantage.

Given it was still nighttime, and the wind was breezing strongly.

If there was suddenly a fire, then the wind pressure would intensify the flame to burn faster.

It was also at this moment that the Frenzied Wolf realized that it had fallen into the enemy's trap. He began to howl and tried to plead for mercy.

At the same time, it was hoping to stall for time to break free of the stun effect.

Alas, even if he could break free after 3 seconds, Lei Zhen's unique class of Crowd Controller allowed him to continuously cast [Stun] without the need to worry about his mana from running out.

Holding a tree branch in his left hand, Lei Zhen began to light a fire on it and dropped it at the pit.

Whoosh!

Instantly, the flame started to spread among the other tree branches and leaves that Lei Zhen had thrown at the beginning.

Feeling the heat intensity, the Frenzied Wolf began to wail in pain and agony.

However, his body refused to move a single inch since Lei Zhen would constantly cast [Stun] every 2 seconds, not allowing a single mishap to occur.

"Don't look at me with those pitiful eyes, Frenzied Wolf. I'm sure if the scenario were to swap and I'm the one begging for mercy, then you would have killed me without hesitation." He said calmly.

Soon, the Frenzied Wolf could only watch itself being cooked alive in regret.

Ding!

[You have killed a Frenzied Wolf!]

[You have leveled up!]

"What the hell?"
