After playing around with Gizzle and Mizzle for a few minutes, Lei Zhen lay down on the mounting seat. It must have been because he was in a virtual world, Lei Zhen was not fatigued at all despite the extensive workout he had done.

'Should I log out for now and check up on Qiaolian?' Lei Zhen wondered silently.

He was not sure what would happen if he were to log out.

Would Chris wake up and see him missing and mistakenly thought he ran away? If that were to happen, then all the good rapport he had built up with him would vanish in a flash.

Hence, Lei Zhen didn't dare to log out compared to his first time in which he did not have to worry about anything.

"Forget it, Qiaolian is much more experienced than me and could take care of herself." Lei Zhen finally decided to remain in the game and wait for the morning to arrive.

And while Lei Zhen calmly waited for the morning to arrive at route 43, in the Miracle Wing's Headquarters, two people could be seen in the meeting room.

"That damn slut, Cecile, had been roping in more top players into their team. At this rate, not to mention getting the first clear achievement, I doubt we can even be qualified to enter the dungeon." Liu Lingxin was riled up as she read the reports from her subordinate.

"Sigh, it's expected of that witch to do such a thing." Tang Qiaolian was not surprised by this outcome. Their guild had not gained enough reputation and traction to poach top players into their guild yet.

"Are we really just going to give up like this, Qiaolian? The Aries Guild is too powerful already and if they get this first clear achievement, then we'll probably have no place left."

"Lingxin, you are overthinking too much." Tang Qiaolian suddenly chuckled. "Since we alone cannot gain enough manpower to go against the Aries Guild, then we shall cooperate with another guild."

"What other guild-"

Before Liu Lingxin continued her words, her expression changed drastically. "D-Do you mean we are going to cooperate with a zodiac guild?"

Tang Qiaolian nodded her head. "Although I don't know the reason behind it, the Cancer Guild contacted me about cooperating. And it's an equal status cooperation, not a subordinate to the leader kind of cooperation."

An equal status cooperation technically means both parties have equal authorization and are not above each other.

Normally, this type of cooperation only occurs when both parties have similar strengths. Yet, Tang Qiaolian was being offered this type of cooperation despite not being on the same level yet.

And although this should be happy news for their current crisis, Liu Lingxin was perplexed by the action of the Cancer Guild.

"Why would the all-powerful Cancer Guild want to cooperate with us?" She asked in a disbelief tone. The Cancer Guild originated from the Western side and had more top players compared to the Aries Guild.

However, the important point was that the Cancer Guild was known to be a lone tiger, meaning they have never offered to cooperate with anyone else in the past.

"I don't know why they want to cooperate with our Miracle Wing either. I've tried to ask the representative for the reason, but they simply told me three words." Tang Qiaolian shrugged her shoulders and said.

"What three words?"

"Guild Leader's Command!"

"T-Their guild leader initiated it?" Liu Lingxin was stunned. "You mean the mysterious guild leader that never showed its face wanted to cooperate with us?"

"Mhmm, and even though no one had seen the guild leader's face of the Cancer Guild, its credibility is well known." Tang Qiaolian said, grabbing a pile of documents and handing it to her.

The document listed all the details of their cooperation and when they would begin the expedition of the Hell's Domain.

Everything was extremely detailed and Liu Lingxin could not find a single fault in it that would harm them.

"Haha, who would have thought the Shadow Tyrant is interested in our guild?" Liu Lingxin laughed maniacally.

The Shadow Tyrant was the nickname for the guild leader of the Cancer Guild since its name and everything else was hidden from the public.

"Seeing your reaction, I'm guessing our crisis is resolved and that the Aries Guild should be prepared for what's coming." Tang Qiaolian smirked.

It would be a lie if she wasn't irritated by the methods that Cecile uses.

Now that she received a powerful ally, it was time to return the 'gift' tenfold. Otherwise, people would call her ungrateful and selfish.

Liu Lingxin's eyes made a small glint, her smile turning wider. "Hehe, of course, I still haven't repaid the gift they sent me previously. And speaking of that, my arm still hurts a bit."

She was referring to the time when she was ambushed in the real world and took a bullet shot. At that time, if it weren't for Lei Zhen's swift intervention and healing, a scar would have been left on her arm.

Being injured was serious, but not as serious as having a scar on her arm. She could not even imagine how she would react if a permanent scar was left on her beautiful arm.

"Oh right, speaking of that, have you thanked Lei Zhen for me?" Liu Lingxin suddenly asked. With the crisis resolved temporarily, she could now finally ask Tang Qiaolian about Lei Zhen.

How was she supposed to explain that she had forgotten about her request when she was with Lei Zhen?

"Did you not thank him on my behalf?" Liu Lingxin glared at her when she didn't respond and was staying silent.

"What am I supposed to do if Lei Zhen mistakenly thought I'm some spoiled brat?"

"Why do you care what he thinks about you anyway? Didn't he ask you for the payment for the treatment already?" Tang Qiaolian didn't know why, but she got a bit furious and made an outburst.

"Hmph, I knew it. You are hiding him from me because you wanted him for yourself, huh?" Liu Lingxin sneered.

"Nonsense!" Tang Qiaolian hurriedly denied it and stood up.

"I'm going to meet with the representative of the Cancer Guild to discuss our cooperation. You can either follow me or stay here."
