MMORPG: Crowd Control

71 Nutrient Solution

After heading inside the tent, Lei Zhen was solemn to have no one intruding without knocking.

And luckily for the Magnolia Players, there was a function of notification that would notify the players if they are ever needed.

Therefore, even if one logged out and had no idea of the current situation in Magnolia, they would still be notified if someone or NPC was looking for them.

With this function embedded in Magnolia, players could always immerse themselves in the world without having to break it once disconnected or logged out.

Just like that, Lei Zhen clicked the "logout" button at the system prompt and his vision soon blurred.

He had been gaming for a long time, but his body was still energized as always. The reason is that the MagnoPod was equipped with Nutrient Solution.

Nutrient Solution is a special type of liquid that increases a body's function and maintains its condition, even when they're gaming for a long time in a virtual world.

It was a revolutionary invention that most rich people consumed since it could even prolong one's life.

Although it was extremely healthy and beneficial, there was only one type of flavor of Nutrient Solution, making it pretty tasteless over time.

Despite this, people continue to consume Nutrient Solution and they are categorized into three different grades, namely, the B grade, the A grade, and the S grade.

The MagnoPod that Lei Zhen uses contains only the B grade Nutrient Solution, and even that alone costs thousands of dollars.

"Sigh, the B grade Nutrient Solution is nice, but it is almost near the halfway mark." Lei Zhen glanced at the MagnoPod measurement of the Nutrient Solution. The Nutrient Solution still had around 70% left, but he couldn't help and ache at that sight.

Shaking his head, Lei Zhen turned around and saw Tang Qiaolian still inside her MagnoPod.

Unlike his mediocre one, Tang Qiaolian's MagnoPod had an A grade Nutrient Solution and it was clear that the effect was 10 or more times better than his B grade.

"I'll just cook some food to eat before leaving the house." He muttered, heading into the kitchen to cook.

Sometime later, Lei Zhen finished his meal and used a lid to cover a portion for Tang Qiaolian to eat when she comes out of her MagnoPod.

Since it was clear that Tang Qiaolian had no intention of getting out, Lei Zhen directly left the house and made his way toward his workplace.

While sitting on the train, Lei Zhen used his cellphone to scroll through Magnolia news.

And as expected, the two princes being at war with each other in Yors Castle was currently the hottest or trending news.

"We are here to inform every Magnolia Player that the Main Story Scenario seemed to be starting with this big event in Yors Castle." A female anchor known as Scarlett said excitedly.

Next to her was a male anchor known as Jeremy, who excitedly added to what Scarlett had said. "Indeed, almost every player near Yors Castle is eagerly hoping to join one of the princes' factions for the succession war."

"However, apparently most top rankers and pros are more inclined to the new dungeon appearance known as Hell's Domain. We now have an interview with one female pro player that everyone knows about, Griselda from the Western country." Scarlett suddenly said and the camera angle turned to zoom at an elegant woman.

The elegant woman was wearing a blouse-type of clothes and a mini skirt that showcased her long legs. She had long blonde hair and had the look of a westerner.

"Hello, it's good to see you as energetic as ever, Scarlett and Jeremy." Griselda smiled lightly and greeted the two anchors.

"It's good to see you too, Griselda. I've heard that you are still playing solo and refused the invitation from numerous Zodiac Guild." Jeremy asked.

Jeremy was doing his anchor job and hoping to hear some exclusive news from a pro player like Griselda who ranked in the top 50s.

Alas, Griselda was used to such questions and cleverly avoided answering such sensitive topics. "Haha, I'm not really good at working in a team with others so I prefer to go solo as of right now."

Seeing how she had no intention to discuss this topic, Scarlett intervened to ask her about the current outlook of Yors Castle.

"Anyway, Griselda, what do you think would happen to Yors Castle in this big event? Yors Castle is one of the leading cities that connects multiple trading routes and is a neighbor to the dangerous Lux Forest."

"Indeed, I think this is a major breaking point of Magnolia. It has been 4 years since the game first came out and we are finally advancing to some sort of storyline besides just random quests or dungeons' first-clear achievement here and there. I believe this has to do with the unknown player that triggered the main story scenario that we are finally witnessing a change in the Magnolia world." Griselda answered calmly.

The interview continued for another 10 minutes or so before Lei Zhen closed his phone since his train had arrived at his stop.

'This is truly a bigger event than I'd initially thought.' Lei Zhen was left in a difficult spot once he learned about this new information.

If many Magnolia players are hoarding in toward Yors Castle, then his initial outcome prediction would change drastically.

"And that Griselda is weird… At first glance, one would think she's replying to Scarlett's question, but those with keen eyes will know she was directing her words to someone else." He muttered.

Lei Zhen might be ignorant about Magnolia, but after studying for a few days, he had come to learn that he might be the "unknown" player.

This was especially true when Griselda mentioned that it might be the "unknown" player that had triggered this scenario, to begin with.

Feeling tremendous pressure, Lei Zhen needed to be careful with his actions in the future and remain anonymous to the public.
