MMORPG: Crowd Control

74 Players Gathering

The conversation between Robert Kngihtman and Francis Norton was a private occasion.

Hence the players remained ignorant of the matter and only had one thought in mind.

It was a discussion about whether to join either the side of the faction belonging to Prince Carter or Prince Leon.

As for Princess Kate, her current whereabouts were unknown to the players and not much information about her was revealed.

Thus, the average Magnolia player did not expect Kate to be a contender for the throne.

"Heh, this is the moment I've been waiting for. I'm going to join Prince Leon's side and earn that evil reputation to increase my skills."

"Tsk, another villain player type. I'm going to join the honorable Prince Carter instead and earn some good rapports when I meet with the Holy Church members."

"Look at these fools arguing who's side to join. I'm going to be the clever one and assist King Francis instead. A king shall not be underestimated and the two princes are just mindless fools to start a rebellion."

Players were divided amongst themselves in the decision of siding with who.

It was now the current hottest topic in Magnolia and almost every nearby player rushed their way to Yors Castle to join this exclusive one-time event.

As for those who are simply too far away to join the fun, they were left in bitterness and regret and wondered why they stray so far away from Yors Castle.

Meanwhile, there are some that are just not interested in the event in Yors Castle.

Miracle's Wing Headquarters

"Welcome, representative of the Cancer Guild. I'm amazed by the number of players you brought along." Tang Qiaolian stood up from her chair and greeted the newly arrived people.

They were people with an emblem pinned on their top right clothes with a crab-like symbol, resembling the Cancer astrological sign.

"Of course, Guild Leader Tang Qiaolian. We were instructed by our guild leader to make sure our cooperation remains amicable. Otherwise, we're all going to get bashed when we return." The representative of the Cancer Guild, Karl said and extended his hand for a handshake.

Karl was a tall man with his clothes colored black. Half of his face was covered with a skeleton mask, creating an oozing aura. In addition to that, there are two daggers placed around his waist, indicating his class role as an assassin type.

Tang Qiaolian smiled slightly and shook her hand with Karl.

Despite Karl's friendly expression and words, everyone knew his position in the Cancer Guild.

He was like the right-hand man for the mysterious guild leader. A flawless and loyal servant to the guild leader. Those that provoke or offend the guild leader are usually silenced by Karl.

"Representative Karl, you are too polite. Just call me Qiaolian." Tang Qiaolian laughed and guided him to his seat.

"That can't be done, Guild Leader Tang. This is the best I can do whereas you can just call me Karl. Our position is different since you are considered a friend of my guild leader." Karl said calmly.

His tone was adamant though and was telling Tang Qiaolian that she can be casual with him whereas he cannot.

Toward enemies, Karl wouldn't say much of a sentence and would simply pierce them with his daggers.

However, toward those that his guild leader looked up to, he would be polite and humble himself.

Tang Qiaolian nodded her head. "Alright, I won't force you on this matter then. Let's talk about Hell's Domain. One of the top guilds has finally managed to conquer the Easy Mode, but the casualties were immense."

She then made a glance at Liu Lingxin, indicating her to hand over the document report to Karl.

Liu Lingxin quickly placed the document report on the table for Karl to see before returning to Tang Qiaolian's side.

This might be a friendly meeting, but the atmosphere was tense with only Karl and Tang Qiaolian talking. Everyone else in the meeting room knew their place and did not make a sound when the higher-ups were discussing.

Time slowly passed by, and Karl finally finished analyzing everything from the document report.

'The report is exactly the same as our information channel. Seems like the guild leader doesn't suspect her character. But why would she want to work with Guild Leader Tang?' Karl wondered silently, feeling lost about the situation.

He had never questioned the decision of his guild leader before, but this time, it was truly a confusing part for him.

Tang Qiaolian's guild wasn't even powerful nor qualified to even talk in an equal stance with their Cancer Guild. Yet, he was ordered specifically to treat them like their equals.

Despite that, Karl would still do his job and complete it flawlessly.

"I've read the report and we can start at any time, Guild Leader Tang." Karl closed the document report and said to her. "Our players are all equipped with the latest gears and will be in your command during the expedition."

"M-My command? Isn't it dual commandership?" Tang Qiaolian was astonished when she was given the authority to command the officers and members of the Cancer Guild.

Karl nodded his head. "There's no mistake. We were ordered to listen to your instructions and I would personally enforce that. Anyone that dared to slight or ignore your orders will be punished severely."

His aura suddenly changed and the pressure was imposed upon his fellow members.

His fellow members faced tremendous pressure from him, but they remained still on their footing, not flinching at all.

"They are our elite members of the Cancer Guild, so there would not be any tolerance for disobeying your order," Karl said, retracting his aura.

"Haha, I see…" Tang Qiaolian laughed awkwardly. Things were truly too weird and why they were treated in such high regard by their guild leader.

'Could their guild leader be someone we know? Otherwise, why would our guild be chosen as a cooperation in this important dungeon?' Tang Qiaolian wondered silently.
