Ever since he started playing Magnolia, he saw his status screen and stats value.

He thought that to increase one's stat value, one must continuously level up, but never did he expect his thought process was horrendously wrong.

There were actually methods of increasing a person's stat value and leveling up was just one of the easier methods.

"Is this stat increase method supposedly a secret?" Lei Zhen asked her, hoping that she would answer no.

After all, if it wasn't common knowledge, then he could pat himself on the back for being ignorant.

Alas, Kate looked at him with a funny expression as she tried her best to not laugh. Her reaction was equivalent to answering his question without being direct.

"It's okay, Lei Zhen. You might know a lot of strategies and planning, but we're still human after all. Not everyone is perfect and would know everything." Kate smiled and tried to console him, thinking that he might be depressed for not knowing something common.

"Sigh, I don't know why you looked up to me so much when I'm still ignorant, Kate." Lei Zhen shook his head.

"I look up to you because you're an admirable and hard-working person. Unlike others who would only talk big but have nothing to show, you're a thousand times better than them."

Hearing her compliments, Lei Zhen nodded his head.

"Rest assured, I'm not going to be depressed for not knowing common things." He said calmly.

This little incident only reminded him not to have a bloated head and think arrogantly since he was still a beginner with superficial knowledge.

It was a good thing he was smacked with reality before committing any mistakes.

"Over here, Lei Zhen." Kate walked toward a shelf and said. "These two are enchantment elixirs that can increase your stats."

Lei Zhen walked over and noticed the two elixirs have different colors.

One of the elixirs was a deep red color, with a musky, earthy scent. The other one was a bright blue color, with a sharp and spicy scent to it.

Kate smiled slightly and opened the shelf, holding the deep-colored red elixir.

"This one is a Strength Elixir potion that enhances the physical strength and endurance of those who drank it permanently." She explained, handing it over to Lei Zhen.

Lei Zhen held the Strength Elixir and read the description of the system prompt.

[Name: Strength Elixir

Dexterity: +20

Speed: +20

Defense: +25

Description: The Strength Elixir was said to have a bitter, metallic taste, and to leave a burning sensation in the chest after it was consumed. Those who had taken the Strength Elixir claimed that it gave them an almost superhuman level of strength and endurance, allowing them to lift heavy weights and run for long distances without tiring.]

'There's no rarity rank for this elixir?' Lei Zhen thought to himself. Almost all the items he encountered had a rarity rank.

"How rare is this Strength Elixir, Kate?" Lei Zhen decided to ask her.

"Elixir doesn't have a specific rank because they could only be concocted by those with an alchemy subclass. Also, elixirs such as these ones could barely be found in public." Kate pondered for a moment before explaining.

Given that elixirs are a precious stats increase potion, they are always in high demand in the market.

However, not everyone could just get their hand on an elixir because the concoction rate is less than 5% without proper procedure and ingredients.

"I see…" Lei Zhen nodded his head.

It was no wonder the elixirs were protected so secretly here. At first, he thought the +20 points are common in elixir, but with Kate's explanation, he knew the +20 must be rare.

Sometime later, Kate grabbed the blue color elixir for Lei Zhen to inspect.

[Name: Intelligence Elixir

Wisdom: +30

Intelligence: +35

Description: The Intelligence Elixir was said to have a sweet, minty taste, and to leave a cool, invigorating sensation in the head after it was consumed. Those who had taken the Intelligence Elixir claimed that it gave them a heightened sense of focus and concentration, allowing them to think more clearly and solve problems more quickly.]

Although the Intelligence Elixir only grants him an increase of two stats compared to the Strength Elixir, the points increased were significantly higher.

"So what do you think about these two elixirs, Lei Zhen?" Kate smiled slightly and asked.

Lei Zhen nodded his head. "I'll take these two elixirs then."

Currently, his stats were lacking a lot, and with these two elixirs at hand, it would give him more benefits.

Not to mention, it was the better choice for the long run since weapons and armor could always be improved in the future compared to one's stat.

"Great, we should leave now so you can have a great rest." Kate clasped her hand.

Sometime later, Lei Zhen finally returned to his guest room and lay on the bed, glancing at his current status.

[Name: Lei Zhen

Class: Crowd Controller

Level: 17

(Health Point) HP: 864/864

(Mana Point) MP: 325/325

(Attack) Atk: 26 (+5)

(Defense) Def: 23 (+5)

(Intelligence) Int: 32

(Wisdom) Wis: 22

(Dexterity) Dex: 24

(Speed) Spd: 20]

Now that every stat was 20 or above, with the bonus of his [Novice Set], Lei Zhen knew he needed to work harder if he wanted to gain a foothold in Magnolia.

So far, he had been commanding in the shadows, but sooner or later, he'll need to be in the frontline fighting.

"Let's open the skill tree and unlock the blind, then increase my stun level." Lei Zhen muttered, upgrading his skills.

After that, he brought out the two elixirs and drank them, increasing all of his stats dramatically. Instantly, all of his stats looked great for a level 17 except for his attack points which were still at 26.

"Sigh, why must I get such a class as my character. There are barely any attack skills and even when there are, it is locked because of my pathetic level." Lei Zhen lamented slightly.

Despite that, he was exhilarated for once because the curse was finally gone at long last, meaning his unique class effect is currently active.
