97 Chapter 97 An army of 10

The notification showed up in front of her, the knife that Bridget threw created a hole in her head and all her HP immediately depleted and she slowly turned into pixels and faded away.

"Spot on...let's go" Bridget shouted with a smile and Alex's jaws dropped.

"Wait...you actually killed the marksman?" Alex asked, he was still in shock.

"Yes, I think it's a girl, but that isn't important let's increase our pace, the group that went ahead of us is arriving now," Bridget said to him.

"I think they took notice" Alex spoke as he turned around.

The group of players following them were now running towards them as they approached the forest, they were way outside the city so if they were to battle here, nothing would stop them.

Alex and Bridget ran at full speed and in a minute they arrived at the forest, the forest was even darker than they expected before the sun was already going down.

"There's no need to find a good spot, just follow my lead," Bridget said as she stood behind a tree.

Alex watched as her existence was erased like she was never there, the shadow completely covered her entire body and she disappeared without a trace.

Alex had also chosen the shadow camouflage back when they were in the city, he opened his inventory and removed his cloak along with his mask.

After wearing both items, he hid behind a tree close to Bridget and slowly he felt the shadow creeping down his body, enveloping his entire body in darkness, Alex flinched and immediately the feeling disappeared.

"Hey... don't make sudden movements like that when you are hidden, your cover would be blown immediately, move slowly and silently" Bridget mumbled as she faded into the darkness again.

After a while, sounds of rustling leave came from different directions, three players appeared in Alex's line of sight, each of them looking around for Alex and Bridget.

"Did any of you find them?" a hoarse voice asked as he came into Alex's view.

"No, they couldn't have gone far, we should search a little more" another one spoke.

"Are you sure you know what you are talking about, you told me we would obtain 5000 coins each, and 10,000 coins for whoever lands the finishing blow" the hoarse voice spoke again.

"Yes, both of them combined, their coins are about 60,000"

"Damn, then we need to find them, keep searching," another of the players said.

Alex stood still as he observed the players, they were ten males, and he had discovered most of their classes, one of them was holding a bow so he was an Archer.

Five of them were either swordsmen, knights, or paladins as they held swords, the remaining four were unknown because none of them had weapons with them.

Alex concluded that they might be mages or part of the support class, either way, they were no match for him.

"Wait, they are here somewhere," a voice said.

"Are you sure?" the group asked him.

"Yes, I'm sure they are here, search around this area" the player spoke.

"Wow, that guy must be a hunter, special stat tracking, a skill that makes the player as good as a wolf when tracking prey, they are going to find us at this rate" Bridget mumbled.

"What class does that guy belong to, how was he able to detect our presence when he can't see us. Most of them are level 9 players with one swordsman at level 11, I have Bridget so there's nothing to..." Alex stopped as Bridget stepped out.

"Hey guys" Bridget spoke as she revealed herself.

The players were all shocked at her sudden appearance because they didn't see her emerging from the tree, they quickly gained their composure as the five swordsmen stood in front.

The huge guy with a hoarse voice that questioned the other players earlier brought out two revolvers, the other two players stretched their hands forward and the last one stood at the back and did nothing.

"Where were you hiding" the huge guy spoke loudly.

"Behind a tree, you guys missed me at least 4 or 5 times, I want to start killing you off but it wouldn't be fun, so I waited till you are all together, isn't that fun" Bridget smiled brightly.

The players in front of her were surprised, even though she was at level 21, they were ten of them and one of her, though they were still watching out for Alex.

"It seems you are confident that you would survive, you don't know the mess you got yourself into," said the huge guy, chuckling loudly.

Bridget brought out two throwing knives as a start, "We are close enough so I can't kill you guys in one shot, but this is strong enough to take each of you down in three strikes"

"Cheeky bitch, girls like you should be fucked properly after being captured, kill her" the guy shouted and fired the first shot.

Bridget dodged as the guy aimed for her head, immediately the five swordsmen already came rushing toward her.

"You guys need years of practice before you can beat me" Bridget shouted as the first one swung his sword.

Not only was she faster than all of them, but she was also far more skilled and stronger than all of them combined. She jumped backward and dodged the first but before the player could attack again she was already in front of him.

Bridget plunged her first knife deep into the player's stomach and used the second knife to stab his right hand making the player drop his sword.

Two other players attacked her from both sides, one aiming at her neck and the other aiming at her stomach.

Bridget watched as the players launched a simultaneous attack, she commended them for their effort but they were still no match for her.

She dragged the body of the first swordsman and placed it at her left side where the player aiming for her stomach was, and then she bent down.

The two players' attacks hit spot on as their swords pierced the body of their fellow player.

[-30HP]

[-40HP]

Bridget already attacked the player earlier immediately he was attacked again, his body faded into pixel.

"Move back" the huge guy shouted.

Four of the players stepped and immediately Bridget was bombarded with attacks, the archer fired an arrow while the huge guy shot two bullets from his revolvers, and the two mages cast two fireball spells.

Bridget couldn't dodge the attacks so instead of standing still and getting hit by all she bent down and used her hands to cover her head.

One of the bullets hit her while a fireball spell hit her stomach and sent her rolling on the ground.

[-35HP]

[-40HP]

Two notifications came up in front of Bridget as she rolled on the ground covered with dried leaves of plants, Bridget stopped herself but before she could regain her composure another round of attack was fired again.

After rolling backward she was now close to the tree where she hid earlier, she quickly jumped behind the tree to avoid getting attacked again.

"Her HP is down finish her off" the huge guy shouted as he stepped forward before stopping.

"This game is making mere humans stronger than normal, why didn't I expect that" Bridget mumbled as she blend into the shadow.

The forest was much darker now than earlier but the players weren't concerned, they had no idea she could hide herself in the shadows.

"You bastard chick, you are going to die here, all that money is mine, after killing you, I'm going to kill all these guys" the huge guy mumbled to himself.

During all that fighting, none of the players had any idea their healer at the back had gone missing, when Bridget revealed herself earlier Alex carefully escaped from their line of sight as they were all focused on Bridget.

Alex carefully crept behind the healer at the back of the group, the healer was at level 9 and held two healing canes in his hands.

Alex stood at the healer's back for a second as he took a deep breath, in his right hand was the new dagger that Bridget bought for him and his left hand was empty.

In an instant, Alex covered the mouth of the healer and drilled his dagger repeatedly into the stomach of the healer till he couldn't move.
