Up until now, Chu MuYun has probably remembered everything.

A god’s love was selfless and eternal.

Chu MuYun was born in the chaos and what he did after he survived was to create this world. Every plant, every tree, every mountain, every stone, every river and sea, and even the birth of life.

He carefully outlined a magnificent world, guided them to create new life, enriched everything and made the cold and lonely emptiness become lively and noisy.

But Chu MuYun was trapped in his own world from beginning to end. In that place there was only a void and, no matter what was brought in, it would disappear forever. That was the realm of the gods and nothing could live there except Chu MuYun.

Chu MuYun created a beautiful and noisy world but he could only watch it with his own eyes, unable to hear, touch or feel it.

If Chu MuYun had never seen the excitement before, probably he would not feel lonely.

But now he has personally created the beauty in his heart and so, when facing the emptiness again, the loneliness that has been suppressed for thousands of years has covered his mouth and nose like a tide, leaving only unbearable suffocation.

Chu MuYun wanted to go down and have a look, but he couldn’t leave.

He was regarded as a god by the lower world, but only he himself knows that being this so-called god means he is just a sad prisoner, a machine without consciousness, and it is his destiny to be busy in this ‘sacred’ place.

Chu MuYun became more and more tired of this kind of life, hated this emptiness more and more and gradually even felt an unspeakable fear.

Afraid of this cage, afraid of this loneliness and probably more afraid of this never-ending life.

When he became more and more unable to bear it and stretched to his limit, there was a small new soul in the place of his birth—the place of chaos.

It was only the thin wisp of soul, which seemed to drift away and disappear at any moment, but Chu MuYun seemed to be holding on to a life-saving straw. He began to look forward to his coming, expecting him to be the only difference in this vastness, expecting him to come and be able to exist here, to be with him.

Chu MuYun finally had the motivation to continue on. He has been guarding this weak soul, talking to him, showing him the world he has outlined and waiting for him to grow up, take shape, and finally become… become a fine child.

The joy in Chu MuYun’s heart cannot be described in words but soon… reality hit him hard. The child he had raised, disappeared.

Born from chaos, he took one look at him and disappeared.

The disappointment after countless expectations was so strong, Chu MuYun couldn’t bear it at all, he wanted to break this emptiness, he wanted to leave! But he couldn’t do it, he possessed the power to overturn mountains and seas, but he couldn’t use any strength against this ‘cage’ that imprisoned him.

But at this moment, Chu MuYun saw him again, saw that child.

He went to the world he created and stood ignorantly among the mountains, rivers and seas, where Chu MuYun had longed for.

Chu MuYun’s heart skipped a beat and a thought suddenly flashed through his mind.

This emptiness can only accommodate one person—it turns out that this person did not come to be his companion, but to inherit him.

When this thought flashed through his mind, the cage that had imprisoned him for countless years was finally opened.

It was the first time for Chu MuYun to go out and he didn’t have time to witness the prosperity of the world he created. What he had to do was to find him, raise him, and then give him the position of this ‘god’.

The experience of raising Mo JiuShao was very novel and interesting to Chu MuYun. He was no longer a little soul, he could laugh, talk and respond to him… This made Chu MuYun’s life no longer empty and lonely. There were moments full of brilliance and every minute and every second became vivid and magnificent.

Until Mo JiuShao said such a sentence to him: I only want you, only you, as long as I have you, everything else doesn’t matter.

Chu MuYun finally realized that he had made a mistake.

He stood in the emptiness again and realized that ‘love’ was not something that should belong to them.

Chu MuYun tried to save him, but because of his extreme methods, he completely angered Mo JiuShao. As a result, he was imprisoned by Mo JiuShao, the child he raised.

Chu MuYun, who had been in that ‘cage’ for tens of thousands of years, probably hated the behavior of ‘imprisonment’ the most in his heart.

So he erased Mo JiuShao’s memory, turned him back into that wandering soul in the chaos, and wanted to raise him again. This time he would not make the same mistakes again.

However… the human heart is the most inestimable.

The abandoned Yan Chen—  repeating the same mistakes.

The self-mutilating Shen ShuiYan – repeating the same mistakes.

Jun Mo, who has been left out in the cold – repeating the same mistakes.

It wasn’t until Xie QianLan, when he chose to commit suicide in despair, that Chu MuYun finally came to his senses.

It was impossible for him to have an heir and he also couldn’t bear to let that person go to that empty place and live alone for thousands of years.

Even he couldn’t bear it, how could that soul, with his fierce personality, bear it?

Moreover, Chu MuYun was also reluctant to let him.

Chu MuYun returned to the emptiness, put the dead Xie QianLan into the chaos and watched that little wandering soul slowly grow again.

Chu MuYun guarded him for countless days and nights and, when Ling Xuan appeared, Chu MuYun made up his mind.

He wouldn’t let him down this time. This time he will treat him well, this time no matter what happens, he will never hurt him again.

There is no doubt that Ling Xuan has received unprecedented favor, probably more than Mo JiuShao during his time.

After all, Chu MuYun only expected Mo JiuShao to inherit him and ‘rescue’ him.

But towards Ling Xuan…Chu MuYun’s feelings had been filled with guilt five times  over and with so many emotions, no amount of compensation would be enough.

It was a very sweet life.

Maybe it was because he died once so Ling Xuan became more open-minded and transparent, far less paranoid and intense than before. Or maybe it was because he felt Chu MuYun’s love this time so he was no longer so restless and he was nourished by true love. Under the circumstances, he grew up to be more responsible and confident.

Chu MuYun knew that life would not last forever and there would definitely be tribulations, but he did not expect it to be like this.

He and Ling Xuan stayed in this paradise, but the world outside was completely messed up.

Natural disasters, one after another.

When Chu MuYun walked out, what he saw was the end of the world.

Landslides and tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoes, everything he built was rapidly collapsing. The life he created died in grief and despair. Those weak creatures, even unable to make a cry, turned into a pile of bones forever .

Why?

Because he lost the qualification of a ‘God’, the things he created lost their reason for existence.

Ling Xuan stood beside him, looked at his empty gaze and asked softly, “Is it because of me?”

Chu MuYun suddenly turned to look at him.

Ling Xuan smiled at him: “Don’t be restrained, just do what you want.”
