Pupa materialized beside Yunyu to accompany him, and Yunyu asked, "Pupa, do you think my choice is correct? I feel like it's a bit cruel to lock Han Shun with Baishe to cultivate again after I left him in the military barrack before."

"I think it's only fair," Pupa replied. "Baishe's cave is the safest place in this world. There is no demonic cultivator who can enter the cave. Han Shun is still very weak compared to them right now. He needs a lot of training."

"You're right, but…."

Bai Yunyu knew Baishe's cave was the safest option they had right now, but Han Shun was still a teenager in the end.

"He is a teenager, and I rob away all his teenage days by putting him in the military training and locking him in a cave to cultivate. He has no chance to grow up like a typical teenager…."

"Because he is not a typical teenager," Pupa said. "You're basing him off as if he is a teenager in your world. He is a God— well, future God. I don't think he needs to grow up to be a typical teenager."

"Geez, Pupa, so ruthless…." Yunyu clucked his tongue annoyedly. Though what Pupa said was true, Han Shun didn't need to grow up like a typical teenager. He would be a God in the future. The only thing he needed was to get stronger and stronger. 

But…

"I still want to compensate him in some way. He needs to know the world before becoming a God," Yunyu said. "Maybe I should visit him often—"

"Are you sure you want to visit him often?" Pupa asked. "You know that he will be distracted, right?"

"… true, I don't want him to continue his habit of cultivating while looking at me. I'm afraid it would only make him obsessed with me in the long run," Yunyu admitted. 

He finally found the fruit he needed and plucked three of them for Han Shun. He couldn't take more because it would anger Mother Nature. 

After bowing his head to show his thanks, Bai Shijue flew to the entrance of Baishe's cave. 

He didn't need to knock, of course. He could just teleport inside the cave since Baishe had given him permission.

But he stayed outside before entering because he was busy peeling the fruit for Han Shun.

Han Shun must be cultivating right now, and it had been more than 3 days since the last time Bai Shijue left him. So these fruits would help him to recover some of his lost energy.

Bai Shijue peeled the fruits that looked similar to orange. He then put them on a plate made out of stone before teleporting inside.

Bai Shijue saw that Han Shun was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the lake, closing his eyes as he started cultivating. Turned out Han Shun could cultivate normally. He just got spoiled because Bai Shijue always allowed him to open his eyes while cultivating. 

Bai SHijue checked Han Shun's core inside his body, and it turned out it was regulating just right. 

[It works! Turns out, Han Shun can cultivate normally! I don't know what he is thinking right now, but hey, now he won't be thinking about me 24/7!]

[Pupa: Well, I can't scan his mind anyway, so I guess he must be in a deep trance.]

Bai Shijue carefully put the stone plate on the ground, but Baishe could hear even the sound of water dripping from the cave ceiling. 

Baishe turned his head and saw Master Bai looking at them from afar. She was about to greet him, but Bai Shijue put his index finger in front of his lips, signaling Baishe to keep quiet because Han Shun was cultivating right now.

Bai Shijue didn't want to stay for too long here since he couldn't use much of his power in the mortal realm. He couldn't communicate with Baishe with telepathy.

He used the most basic gesture by pointing at the fruits and then at Han Shun before nodding and teleporting away. 

Bai Shijue took a deep breath after he teleported away. He was holding his breath the whole time. Because he was scared that Han Shun suddenly opened his eyes and looked at him. 

"Phew, at least we've delivered the fruits," Bai Yunyu said. 

Pupa materialized in front of him, "See? Didn't I tell you that you shouldn't baby Han Shun too much? He would be too spoiled and think he could get away with everything since his Bai Gege loves him so much."

"Yeah, you're right, Pupa. I can't treat him like a precious baby. He is a teenager already, and he will grow up soon," Yunyu said. "Alright, time to return home. Chinchin must've been waiting for us!"

Bai Yunyu flew to the village and landed in the courtyard of his new residence. 

He had decorated the new resident and even set up a courtyard for Han Shun when he could return later. 

He walked to Han Shun's courtyard and saw Chinchin was jumping around on the tree.

"Chinchin," Bai Shijue called him.

"Squee? Squee!" Chinchin jumped from the tree and dashed towards Bai Shijue. It hugged Bai Shijue's neck happily. 

"Have you eaten the plum that I gave you?" Bai Shijue asked.

"SQUEE!" Chinchin opened its mouth, showing that it had eaten all the plum given by its master before. 

"Squee?"

"Ah, you're asking about Han Shun? He is currently cultivating in the cave behind the waterfall. He needs to break through and reach his Jindan (golden core). That's why it'll be only the two of us—"

"—Three," Pupa said as it materialized in front of Yunyu and Chinchin. "Good thing Chinhin knows about me, so I don't need to keep being invisible," Pupa said. 

"Squee!" Chinchin jumped to Pupa and landed on its body. 

"H—Hey! I tolerate you because you're his pet! Get off me! Ahhhh!" Pupa started flailing around so Chinchin would be thrown away from its tough shell, but Chinchin got excited as if it was riding a crazed bull. 

"Squeeeee!"
