"Yep, and Master Bai has been living for centuries— well, more than that, honestly. I lost count on how old he actually is. But you're definitely the only one to ever receive such care," Baishe said. 

Han Shun stared at the peeled fruit and picked one carefully. The fruit was warm. Bai Gege must've put some of his fire technique inside this fruit to make it warm and delicious for Han Shun to eat. 

Han Shun ate the fruit that looked like a blue orange slowly, enjoying each bite for he didn't want this short heaven to end too fast. 

Baishe watched how Han Shun looked so touched by Master Bai's gesture of care. But it was true, Master Bai only did this to Han Shun. His love and care for Han Shun were genuine. 

Baishe knew all of Master Han's soul shards, and Han Shun was definitely Master Bai's favorite, and the first one to ever receive intimate care from Master Bai. 

Han Shun opened his eyes and peered at Baishe suspiciously. He used his index to create a mini-wave to roll all the fruits to his side.

"Eh? You're not going to share with me?" Baishe asked jokingly.

"No, Bai Gege's fruits are mine only. Only Han Shun can eat these," Han Shun claimed. 

"Geez, sure, I don't want it either," Baishe snorted as she got annoyed by Han Shun's possessiveness. 

"By the way, since you've progressed really fast, I will give you a chance to ask about Master Bai. You can ask me anything about him, and I will answer, but only one question."

Han Shun stopped eating, he had dozens of questions about Bai Gege, he even wanted to ask if Bai Gege ever grew a pimple on his body. But since he only had one chance, he hummed for a moment to think. 

"I want to ask about his lover in the past," Han Shun said. He told me that he has one person deep in his heart. I thought I could replace that person, but I'm not sure…."

"Can you tell me who is Bai Gege's lover in the past?" Han Shun asked.

Baishe was tongue-tied immediately. She thought that Han Shun would ask about something menial, like Master Bai's favorite food or pet— in which she would say that Master Bai's favorite pet is a floating orange thing made out of metal.

But Han Shun asked about Master Bai's past lover, and the answer was complicated.

Technically, Han Shun was the first one. He was the original one that Master Bai loved. But Baishe knew that Han Shun wasn't the one residing in Master Bai's heart.

It was Master Han Ye, obviously.

Master Han Ye and Han Shun might be the same person, but the feelings were different in Master Bai's heart. 

So Baishe hesitated, unsure how to answer this difficult question.

After thinking for a long time, Baishe finally found the most diplomatic answer, "Master Bai did have a lover in the past."

"T—Then, who is he? I want to meet him and—"

"—And what will you do about it? You want to attack that person?" Baishe asked.

Han Shun couldn't lie. He did want to attack the person Bai Gege loved before. Even though Bai Gege told him that he had no more relation with that person, Han Shun didn't want Bai Gege to catch feelings again with that person. 

Baishe sighed, "Master Bai had such love and hate relationship with his ex-lover. I don't know if he still has a feeling with that person or not. But he has many fights and traumatic experiences with him. Maybe you should be the one who heals Master Bai's wounded heart. He has suffered a lot."

"That person hurt Bai Gege?!" Han Shun's eyes widened in shock. He never expected someone to actually hurt his Bai Gege since Bai Gege was the most perfect person ever existed.

"Yes, he hurt Master Bai," Baishe replied, remembering the love and hate relationship between Master Bai and Master Han. Obviously, they loved each other so much, but they also couldn't seem to make peace of each other's past, especially Master Bai. 

Master Han was a monster. He was a God, so his ego was amazingly humongous, and he abused that power without extent.

And Master Bai… he was such a good-natured person before until he married Master Han, and he became the worst monster imaginable, even worse than Master Han.

"But Master Bai is not the kindest person in the world," Baishe said. "He is a caring person, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have sin. He and his ex-lover were both toxic and hurt each other."

"Bai Gege… is toxic?" Han Shun couldn't believe his ears. If it wasn't Baishe who told him about this, he would be attacking that person for slandering Bai Gege already.

But Baishe's words must've had weight because Bai Gege trusted her so much. 

"If you ask Master Bai about his relation with his ex, he would also say the same. They are toxic to each other," Baishe said. She knew that Master Bai intentionally erased all his memory about his past life, even the memory of his real son.

But after so many transmigrations, Master Bai must've realized that he was also as toxic as Master Han. 

Han Shun was speechless because he had never heard this side of Bai Gege. 

"But worry not, he is treating you daringly. Just don't abuse his kindness, okay?" Baishe said. "He is such a kind person, but you would never see his caring side any longer if you abused his kindness just once."

"Abuse his kindness?" The teenage boy knew little to nothing about love, he loved Bai Gege, but it was like how a teenager had a big crush on his senior. 

He didn't know what was abusing kindness meant. He still had a lot to learn.

But one thing for sure, he would never let Bai Gege get hurt by anyone, including Han Shun himself.
