[4 years later.]

"Master Bai, I've prepared the basket for the food you want to bring!" Han Min said as he grabbed a big basket in front of Bai Yunyu.

"Thank you, Han Min," Bai Yunyu smiled at the teenage boy in front of him.

4 years had passed, and Han Min was 14 years old now. He had grown up a lot, especially in height, since he got proper nutrition under the care of Bai Yunyu. He had slightly tanned skin, but his cheeks were ruddy.

He had a sturdy body for 14 years old because he practiced his martial art daily. Han Min was fairly competent as a martial artist, though he wasn't as strong as Han Shun, who was considered a pinnacle of human strength at such young age. 

"You cooked a lot of food, Master Bai," Han Min commented as he helped Master Bai put the food in small wooden boxes before putting them all into the big basket. 

"Because I want Han Shun to taste the food I cooked. It had been four years," Bai Yunyu said. "I don't know if he will be done with his cultivation today, but I hope so."

"I hope so too, Master! The residence will be a lot livelier with Young Master Han Shun around!" 

Bai Yunyu nodded, "Well, I'll go with Chinchin now."

"Squee!" Chinchin jumped inside the basket, and Bai Yunyu caught the chipmunk right before he could eat anything inside. 

"Not no, Chinchin. Everything here is for Han Shun. You're such a greedy celestial beast, you ate a lot already."

"Squeee…"

Bai Yunyu, Chinchin, and the invisible Pupa teleported in front of the waterfall, and Pupa materialized.

"Pupa, are you sure that Han Shun will complete his cultivation to the golden core today? It's only been 4 years…."

"I'm 100% sure. I can sense the overpowering energy. Besides, Baishe delivered the message to you last night that Han Shun will reach his Golden core today, right?"

"Right…" 

Bai Yunyu was a bit nervous. Since he was forbidden to see Han Shun for 4 years, afraid that it might disturb him from his full focus state. He didn't know how much Han Shun had grown in the past 4 years.

He also wondered if Han Shun had forgotten about him after going into a deep trance for years. 

Bai Yunyu stared at the waterfall and took a deep breath to prepare himself. 

"Okay, Pupa, you can turn invisible now. I will teleport."

Pupa turned invisible, and Bai Yunyu used his power to teleport with Pupa and Chinchin inside the cave.

The moment he entered the cave, Baishe was already standing in front of him. Nothing changed after 4 years because she was an immortal spirit, just like Bai Yunyu. 

Baishe bowed her head respectfully to Master Bai and then turned around, looking in the direction of the lake. 

Bai Yunyu followed her line of sight and saw the young man he had been worrying about for the past 4 years. 

Han Shun was sitting cross-legged, closing his eyes as the water around him rippled continuously. He was tall. Even when sitting, his hair grew to his waist-length, and it was surprisingly well cared for. It was probably Baishe who took care of Han Shun's body while he was in a deep trance. 

He was naked, only wearing his tight pants because his body grew too big to fit the previous robe from 4 years ago. 

Han Shun had matured, the baby cheeks had disappeared, and his well-defined cheekbone and jawline. The loss of fat around his cheeks also made his nose straight and narrow. 

He grew a bit of a mustache and thin beard, though he would probably shave it all because Han Shun told him once that he disliked his facial hair when he hit puberty 4 years ago. 

Bai Yunyu stared at Han Shun attentively. His heart moved after realizing that Han Shun had turned into the exact copy of Han Ye Gege in his real world. The man that he loved and hated at the same time. The man who gave Yunyu hope and despair. 

Bai Yunyu dared not say anything, afraid that it would disturb Han Shun.

Han Shun finally opened his eyes after four years, and his eyes quickly darted at his Bai Gege. Bai Yunyu froze on the spot the moment Han Shun stared at him with such a deep yet unfathomable gaze. There was a mix of unknown emotions inside Han Shun's eyes.

Han Shun's pupils had turned pure gold as well, which reminded Bai Yunyu of—

[Pupa: True, that's golden eyes. It looks like it has been imprinting you in this world. Look at how the ring around the pupil started dilating.]

"Han Shun…" Bai Shijue called his name, and Han Shun felt such strong emotion in his heart. He gritted his teeth, and the water under him suddenly turned into a gold color.

'Bai Gege… My Bai Gege…' Han Shun chanted in his heart. The glow around his body got brighter and brighter until Baishe and Bai Shijue were forced to cover their eyes. 

Han Shun closed his eyes again and sank into the deep lake underneath. When the light started to dissipate, Baishe and Bai SHijue opened their eyes, only to find Han Shun was submerged in the bottom of the lake. The golden glow from inside his body signaled his position right now. 

"Is he alright?" Bai Shijue asked. "Why is he sinking himself down there?"

"I don't know, Master Bai," Baishe replied. "Maybe he is still thinking about something? He should be able to breathe underwater, so you don't need to worry."

Bai Shijue had a feeling that something wasn't right, so he put Chinchin on the ground and jumped into the lake.

He swam towards Han Shun, but in the midway there, he suddenly felt something grab his ankle and drag him quickly to the lakebed.
