"What happened with your eyes?" Baishe asked. "Did something happen while you're cultivating? Because that's not supposed to happen."

Han Shun stopped chewing the rice cake and shifted her gaze at Baishe Jiejie. His eyes grew colder as he felt that Baishe Jiejie disturbed his time with Bai Gege. But, of course, he wasn't supposed to show displeasure in front of Bai Gege. 

"It happens naturally," Han Shun replied. "I don't know what happened. But the moment I saw Bai Gege for the first time after four years, my eyes turned golden instantly…."

[I think I know why.]

"It doesn't matter," Bai Shijue interrupted. "As long as it doesn't affect his strength and cultivation, then it doesn't matter if his eyes had changed color."

"Well, I'm just curious," Baishe shrugged. "Anyway, when will you ascend to the immortal realm, Master Bai?" 

"Not too long, but it will take a little time. There is something I have to take care of in residence. So maybe around 3 to 6 months until we leave," Bai Shijue said. "I also want Han Shun to familiarize himself with the Forest of Lost Mist before crossing it. So he wouldn't be lost even if he had to travel between the mortal and immortal realm without me."

"Are you planning to return to the mortal realm, Bai Gege?" Han Shun asked. He felt a little reluctant because he suspected Bai Gege to be wanting to meet with his other lover, that kid called Han Min.

'I really have to take care of that kid first before leaving….' Han Shun thought. 

"Of course, I will visit the mortal realm whenever I have free time. It's good to visit a city full of bustling life. In the immortal realm, everyone is a cultivator. You will never see a bustling city and such."

"Squee?" Chinchin asked whether it was allowed to go with them, and Bai Shijue laughed, "Of course, you're allowed to go with us. You're a celestial beast, remember? You can live everywhere."

"Squee!" 

Chinchin was happy to be included, it looked at Han Shun, but Han Shun seemed to be in a bad mood instantly.

"Squee?"

"Ah, Han Shun, why do you look displeased? Is there something in your mind?" Bai Shijue asked.

"Nothing, Bai Gege."

They finished eating, and Baishe escorted Master Bai and Han Shun to the stone door. She opened it and allowed them to leave, just like they had entered the cave initially. 

"Thank you so much for your help, Baishe. I can't train Han Shun without your help."

"It's my pleasure and duty, Master Bai," Baishe smiled. "I will visit you in the immortal sect from time to time if you allow me to. I get used to having a company around me."

"Surely, you're also an immortal. You can pass the Forest of Lost Mist without problem," Bai Shijue said. He glanced at Han Shun, who looked at Baishe with a nonchalant expression. Bai Shijue got annoyed because Han Shun didn't show a sign of gratitude for the person who protected him for four years straight. He elbowed Han Shun and gave him a side glare, forcing Han Shun to show gratitude. 

Han Shun sighed and bowed his head slowly, "Thank you so much for protecting me, Baishe Jiejie. I cannot do this without your help."

"Heh, you stubborn kid. You're doing this because Master Bai told you to thank me, right?" Baishe scoffed. "It's fine. I'm doing this because it's my duty to Master Bai. Just don't be troublesome for Master Bai. That's all I want you to do."

"I won't—"

"I doubt that," Baishe retorted quickly. 

Bai Shijue sighed. There was no end to their bickering, "Okay, we will leave now. I will see you in my sect, Baishe."

"Sure, take care, Master Bai…, and you too, kid."

Han Shun, Bai Shijue, and Chinchin returned to the courtyard using teleportation. They appeared right under the plum blossom tree planted by Bai Shijue four years ago. 

Han Shun looked around in a daze. He had no memory of this residence because he didn't have the time to stay here. He was forced to stay inside the cave for four years, just one day after Bai Gege bought this residence.

The residence was clean and was somewhat similar to their old residence, albeit looking less exquisite since this was an old residence.

"I've cleaned your courtyard, and it's always well maintained," Bai Shijue said.

"Gege, why can't we leave now? We don't need to stay here for too long."

"Oh, we will go to the Forest of Lost Mist first, so you will be able to familiarize yourself with the forest," Bai Shijue replied. "But I need to handle a few things first."

"What things?"

"MASTER BAI!" 

Bai Shijue and Han Shun's eyes darted at the teenage boy waving his hand at them. He was quite short compared to them but had a sturdy body. He had a bright, innocent smile that would melt anyone, similar to Han Shun's before practicing martial arts and cultivation.

Han Min ran towards them and bowed respectfully, "Welcome back, Master Bai, I didn't know that you'll return so soon, but I've prepared all the new robes from the tailor! This must be Young Master Han Shun, correct?"

Han Shun said nothing, but his gaze didn't leave Han Min. There was a swirl of extreme emotion inside him, but he tried hard to restrain it in front of Bai Gege. 

Han Min thought that Young Master Han Shun was just unfamiliar with him. Master Bai told him that Han Shun was very cold to strangers. He looked at all of them as air, so Han Min had to give a good impression to Han Shun so he could remember him.

"Young Master Han Shun, my name is Han Min. I have worked here for Master Bai for 4 years already!" Han Min said. He kept lowering his head politely because he thought it would leave a good impression on Young Master Han.
