"I will give you three of my love talismans. This is forbidden, but you could rip one love talisman to return to me if you got caught in a really bad situation. I will handle the rest. May the worst happen."

Han Shun looked at the talismans in his hand. Then he looked at Bai Gege. 

He was a little annoyed that Bai Gege wouldn't trust him, "Bai Gege, do you really think that I won't be able to survive in that Loom forest hunt?"

"I never said that—"

"But you gave me your love talisman! You don't have faith in me, right?" Han Shun accused him. Bai Shijue was surprised by the accusation but couldn't exactly deny it because it was true.

He believed in Han Shun, but at the same time, he was worried that something might happen to this young man whom he cared about a lot. 

Han Shun shoved the love talismans back to Bai Gege and insisted, "I will not take any help from you, Bai Gege! I will prove that I can do it my own way!"

"Han Shun, don't be rash. That's going to get you killed."

"I will not be defeated!" Han Shun insisted. He got even angrier because Bai Gege continued looking down at him. "I will take a bath and continue my training, Bai Gege. I will show you that I can defeat them all with my own techniques!"

"Han Shun—"

Han Shun left Bai Shijue alone after he uttered his discontent. Bai Shijue stood in silence. He was actually a little sad that Han Shun took his help in a negative way.

All he wanted was for Han Shun to be safe while he was on such a dangerous mission alone. 

"Surely, Han Shun is in his delinquent state," Bai Shijue sighed as he returned to his courtyard.

Han Shun panicked as he entered the bathroom. He took a deep breath as his heart was accelerating. 

Master Han Ye appeared right in front of Han Shun with a smirk, "Good job for denying his help."

Han Shun glared at Master Han Ye, "I did it because you told me Bai Gege would be able to find the trace of your dark power if I kept his talismans!"

"Which is true," Han Ye confirmed. "If you keep any of Bai Shijue's talisman for more than a day, he will be able to detect my presence and try to cleanse me out of your body."

"But I kept Bai Gege's talisman even before this, and I was totally fine!"

"That's because what you keep is his earth talisman, which has almost no power compared to the one he made here," Master Han Ye explained. "Heavenly talisman made by Bai Shijue can dispel any powerful dark influence inside a man's body. If you keep his talisman, I'm afraid we can't work together anymore, Han Shun."

"Tch, so annoying!"

Han Shun felt so guilty for rejecting Bai Gege that he even yelled at his master. But he didn't want Bai Gege to know about the truth that Han Shun was the incarnation of an evil god he hated so much.

He also almost got caught when he was talking with Han Shun, good thing he just woke up when Master Han Ye came to him before. 

So he could fake that he was sleeping all along. 

"Don't worry about the hunt. That's so easy to defeat many of them with the help of my power," Han Ye shrugged nonchalantly. "Just make sure that you did what I told you. Make sure that Bai Shijue gets a hold of the item."

"What are you going to do with Bai Gege? I told you, if you dare to hurt him, then I will not spare you!"

"Haha! No need to worry, I promise, the item I want to give to him will only improve his sleep," Han Ye said. "He may not need sleep as an immortal, but it's good to rest a bit."

Han Shun nodded. He and God Han Ye had a deal. In exchange for Master Han Ye's help during the celestial beast hunt, Han Shun would place a white jade inside Bai Gege's room. So it would make Bai Gege feel drowsy and fall asleep.

Han Shun opposed the idea at first, fearing that Master Han Ye was tricking him.

But he used the white jade under his blanket and slept all the way from the evening to the next morning. 

"Why do you want Bai Gege to fall asleep anyway? Is it just because you want him to have a better rest? Don't kid me. I know that you're not that kind!" Han Shun was accused.

Han Ye chuckled in response. 

"You're right. I'm not that kind. Maybe I have a different motive in mind," Han Ye smiled meaningfully and said. "Maybe Bai Shijue is the wife I talked about. The mother of my child and the only one whom I will ever love."

"HAHAHA! I'm joking! Do you really think that's real?" Han Ye laughed freely when he saw the hostile gaze of Han Shun. This kid was seriously easy to trigger. He was like an open book that was very easy to read and manipulate.

"Don't ever say stupid things like that," Han Shun said. He pulled the white jade out of his pocket. This white jade helped him sleep, and he would be happy if Bai Gege could use this to rest.

Bai Gege had been doing nothing but cultivating and managing the sect as the leader. Even though he had no need to eat or sleep, Han Shun would be relieved if Bai Gege had time for rest.

But, of course, he didn't want to risk hurting Bai Gege, "If something is happening to Bai Gege because of this white jade, I will make sure to kill you, Master Han Ye. Even if that means I have to kill myself."
