Chapter 897: 15.114

"Anyway, stop dawdling around. I know that you need my help, right?" Master Han Ye asked.

Han Shun nodded. He really needed The God of nothingness's power because he wouldn't be able to defeat a legendary beast in such a short time with his own power.

"I can give you my eyes, just like before," Master Han Ye said. He walked behind Han Shun and covered the young man's eyes with his palm.

Han Shun closed his eyes, and after a while, Master Han Ye finally released him.

Han Shun opened his eyes, and his pupils turned purple. He could see everything from a different perspective in this Loom Forest.

He could see each path leading to a legendary beast, but all high-leveled beast was invisible to him.

"Why can't I notice the weaker one?"

"Isn't it obvious? Because you're my incarnation. I don't play with weak things. Because there's no thrill of the game when you're hunting a weakling," Master Han Ye replied.

"Does that mean your wife is strong as well?"

"Yes, he is very, very strong. The strongest in his world," Master Han Ye replied with a smile.

Han Shun nodded. He already knew how to use Master Han Ye's power.

But before he took his first step, Master Han Ye warned him, "I suggest you not use my power to completely erase the legendary beasts. The crystal that has been planted by Bai Shijue is inside their heart. If you erase them completely, you won't be able to retrieve them."

"So, I can just erase their limbs, right? Make sure they can't fight," Han Shun said nonchalantly.

Master Han Ye smirked, "That's quite cruel. You know they will suffer because getting erased is like being burned inside."

"But it will get the job done!"

"Indeed, you're smart, Han Shun. They're just monsters. In the end, they have no feelings and no need for mercy," Han Ye said. "They're just puny things compared to us. Everything except your Bai Gege is dispensable puny things."

Han Shun had no other way but to nod because he shared the same idea. He always thought that nothing or no one mattered in this world except for Bai Gege.

Because Bai Gege was his everything, if his beloved Gege told him to destroy this world, he would do it instantly.

Anything as long as they could be together.

"Good luck with the hunt. I will be watching," Master Han Ye said.

Han Shun focused himself on the hunt once more. He prowled stealthily as he found his first victim. A legendary beast with the shape of a stag.

The stag was at least 3x bigger than a regular human adult. His antler branched out with the twinkling light of many fireflies. It was such a majestic and peaceful creature.

Han Shun was stunned, and Han Ye stood behind him, "What? Are you shocked that legendary beasts aren't scary looking? Haha! Kid, legendary beasts look tame and unbothered most of the time. But they are a lot more dangerous than high-ranked beasts. One legendary beast is equal to ten high-ranked ones. So be careful, and just use my power."

Han Shun nodded. Of course, he would take the easy way out. He approached the stag carefully, and the stag looked at him for a second before continuing eating the grass, seemingly unbothered by another presence beside him.

'Maybe I could kill this one with my ability instead. I don't know how to explain to Bai Gege if I killed way too many legendary beasts easily,' Han Shun thought.

He raised his hand, and the lake behind the stag started rippling.

Han Shun formed a trident with the water before freezing it, creating an ice trident sharp enough to kill in one attack.

Han Shun aimed at the stag from behind and launched the ice trident.

The stag didn't move at all. He kept munching the grass until the ice trident was only a few inches away from his body.

The stag turned around swiftly and used his antler to deflect the ice trident.

Han Shun was surprised when the ice trident shattered into pieces after getting deflected. Because it was supposed to be as tough as steel.

The stag turned towards Han Shun and then nonchalantly ate the grass again.

Han Shun frowned. He summoned a few tentacles from the lake, planning to grab the stag's feet and drag him down. But the stag just jumped away without a problem.

This time, the stag walked toward Han Shun, but he couldn't sense any danger from the stag. As if it didn't even want to fight Han Shun.

"What the— is this really a legendary beast?"

"Yes, it is," Han Ye replied. "But it's very tame because you have the smell of Bai Shijue. Legendary beasts have minds of their own, and they recognize Bai Shijue as their true king. If you want to kill him, you have to use my power."

"What? Why can't I use mine?"

"Because none of your attacks will affect that stag. This is why it would take at least ten experienced cultivators to take a legendary beast down," Master Han Ye replied. "What's so difficult about using my power anyway?"

Han Shun took a deep breath. He couldn't waste his time with only one legendary beast because he had already promised to be the winner of this once-per-decade competition.

"Tch," Han Shun couldn't believe that all of his attacks were useless against this animal. He engulfed his fists with a water ball and turned it into ice, making a pair of ice gauntlets.

"Hup! HYAH!"

Han Shun jumped and aimed his fist at the body of the stag. But the stag dodged swiftly before his punch landed, and the stag kicked Han Shun with its back legs.

"Argh!" Han Shun was flown far until his back hit the tree. He grimaced in pain and looked straight at the stag, who was still nonchalantly eating. "Damn it!"

Master Han Ye appeared beside him, "So, what do you think? Isn't it easier to just use my power?"
