"Damn it! How am I supposed to break the diamonds covering his body?!" Han Shun yelled as he continued dodging and attacking the diamond tiger to no avail.

Master Han Ye appeared beside Han Shun and looked at the fight nonchalantly, "You know all you need to do is close your eyes and open them to erase that tiger from existence, right?"

"I know," Han Shun clicked his tongue annoyedly. "I just want to fight with my own strength! I don't want to keep relying on your cheat power!"

"Haha! Nothing's wrong with using it. You're the one who will inherit everything in the end," Master Han Ye said. "But fine, struggle all you want. This diamond tiger is a hostile one and extremely tough. This one cannot be hunted for a century because it's almost impossible to break the diamonds."

Han Shun gritted his teeth. He still had tricks on his sleeve. 

Han Shun waited for the diamond tiger to jump toward him. He took a step back and stomped the ground, creating a hole with deep water, intending to drown the beast just like what he did with that boar with steel tusk before.

"GRAARHH!"

The diamond tiger sank into the hole, and Han Shun quickly touched the water, "Freeze!"

The water inside the hole froze on the spot, giving enough time, and there seemed to be no movement from the tiger. 

Han Shun was breathing heavily as he had just killed a difficult enemy. He looked at Master Han Ye with a proud look on his face, "See? I can do it without using your power!"

"Heh, look again, kid," Han Ye pointed at the deepwater that had been frozen.

The ice slowly cracked and—

The ice burst alongside the tiger that jumped out. The tiger turned out to have another ability; It could expand its diamond fur and turn the fur into hundreds of quills to break anything, similar to a porcupine. 

Han Shun was thrown away by the ice shards and rolled to the ground as he winced in pain. He looked up and saw the tiger was ready to pounce on him again.

"Fuck!" Han Shun blinked for a split second, and the diamond tiger froze on the spot right before reaching Han Shun. 

However, it didn't dissipate into nothingness even with Master Han Ye's eyes. 

Han Shun looked at Master Han Ye, who sighed deeply, "I would hide that ability until you're strong enough, but oh well."

"What did I do?"

"My eyes have various uses. You just stopped the time around that tiger's body, making it immobile for as long as you like," Master Han Ye explained. "Just blink really fast when you're in danger, and it would automatically turn."

"And how do I turn it back to normal?"

"You kill it, obviously."

"Kill it?" Han Shun frowned. "There is no other way?"

"No, when you freeze the time around a living being, it will stay in place for a long time and wouldn't die of old age. You have to kill it to put it out of misery," Master Han Ye replied. He had a meaningful smile. "Why don't you kill it? It's nothing, right? Just a tiger."

"Yes, just a tiger…." Han Shun closed his eyes for a moment before opening them. The tiger's diamond fur slowly disputed, revealing a regular hairless tiger. 

Han Shun chuckled and created an ice sword to cut it in half and took the crystal out of its heart. 

"Do you think you can do the same with your Bai Gege around?" Han Ye asked. "You know that they suffer greatly when you use my power, right?"

"It is for the greater good. Besides, I will ensure that he didn't see me doing this. I've told him that I can show sympathy and care for other living things," Han Shun replied. He looked at the three rainbow crystals that he had collected. He smiled pitifully, "While, in fact, I am nothing but a heartless monster. I guess we are really alike."

"Yes, we are really alike."

Han Shun continued his hunt until he had collected ten rainbow crystals by slaying ten legendary beasts. He passed a few groups of cultivators, but he avoided them because he didn't want to fight anyone and make trouble for Bai Gege.

"Okay, this is the eleventh rainbow crystal," Han Shun mumbled. He collected another crystal from an elephant that he just slew. 

He sat to rest for a while. He saw a shadow from behind. It was only the shadow of one person at first but increased to three, four, and five, and the shadow grouped into a gang. 

"You, kid."

Han Shun got up and looked over his shoulder. He noticed twenty people were standing behind him. So that meant it was participants from two sects grouped into one.

They saw the young man that Master Bai Shijue brought and followed him as they were curious about how this young man fared all by himself.

However, they were all in for the surprise when they saw an incredible thing happen to the legendary beast shaped like an elephant. 

The elephant had its limbs suddenly dissipated into thin air, and Han Shun easily cut its body in half with an ice sword and retrieved the rainbow crystal.

"Do you think that kid got a secret technique from Master Bai Shijue? I heard that he is the only disciple that lived privately with him."

"I think so. Look at that damn legendary beast that fell in less than five seconds! What kind of scary ability is that?!"

Thus, they decided to confront him about the power;

"So, tell us, kid. What kind of technique that Master Bai Shijue teach you? We all know that he is the strongest being in the cultivation realm after the heavenly God, so you must've known a thing or two from him."
