"T—This is Brother Peng's idea! He is the one who wants us to kill you!" Liao Ling said, putting the blame on Bo Pengfei and hoping that Han Shun would spare her. 

Bo Pengfei was speechless. Not only did Liao Ling and the rest of the sect elders try to trap him and Han Shun, but she also had the audacity to put the blame on him to save her ass. 

She was a complete disgrace!

Han Shun scoffed, "And? It doesn't change anything."

"B—But, I'm not the one who wants to hunt you!" Liao Ling pleaded. 

"Whether it's your or Bo Pengfei's idea, it doesn't matter. Because both of you will die here. I will make sure that nobody will escape me, so Bai Gege will never know about my real identity," Han Shun said, shutting down Liao Ling, who was trying to save her life. 

Liao Ling's face paled instantly, and her whole body trembled in fear. Had she known about Han Shun's real identity as the incarnation of an evil god, she would never plot Han Shun's assassination. 

Unable to contain her fear, Liao Ling turned around and ran aimlessly. She wanted to escape and stay alive!

She continued running in this dense mist, but before she could prepare her sword to fly, Han Shun suddenly teleported right in front of her and grabbed her neck. 

Liao Ling flailed around. Han Shun lifted her up until her feet didn't touch the ground and tightened his grip around her neck. 

"Uck! Ack!" Liao Ling clawed Han Shun's hand, trying to break free to no avail. Han Shun smiled thin and said;

"Senior Sister, I know you never like me since the beginning. I know you've plotted a devious plan to kill me by throwing my corpse to a celestial beast, so I'm going to honor you," Han Shun tapped the ground. The screech of a giant celestial beast echoed around the valley.

Slowly, the ground shook, and a giant celestial beast rushed toward Han Shun. 

Liao Ling saw the celestial beast in front of her, and she lost her last hope of life. Because Han Shun summoned a giant centipede that could eat anything in the valley. 

Han Shun chuckled when he saw the despair in her eyes, "I've cut your qi flow. You will not be able to use any of your techniques now. You cannot escape from the inside of this giant centipede."

"Senior sister, you will be digested slowly inside its body until you're nothing. Even Bai Gege wouldn't be able to sense you anymore."

Han Shun threw Liao Ling inside the centipede's mouth. Liao Ling could only scream in agony as she was stuck inside the giant centipede's stomach.

Han Shun returned to Bo Pengfei, who was still bound by Master Han Ye's power. He seemed to have seen a terrible thing and had no more will to live. 

Han Shun chuckled when he saw the dead expression in his eyes, "Senior Peng, I don't know if you're the one who plotted to whole plan to kill me or not. I respect you as a senior in cultivation, especially knowing that Bai Gege trusts you a lot."

"But I cannot let you live, nonetheless," Han Shun said. "You've seen too much, and I can't spare your life."

Bo Pengfei stayed silent the whole time, but he couldn't hold his anger. Yet, he had no more strength to yell at Han Shun, especially after watching Han Shun kill all of the sect elders. 

"I have a question before I die, Han Shun."

"Go ask."

"Do you actually love Master Bai? If you do…." Bo Pengfei turned his head towards God Han Ye. "Why would you take that evil god's side?" 

Bo Pengfei found it hard to believe that Han Shun actually loved Master Bai, especially when working with God of Nothingness, Master Bai's arch-nemesis. 

"I do. I love him so much," Han Shun replied. 

"Then why?!"

"I love him so much that I don't want to lose him, nor do I want to be left behind," Han Shun added. "I'm not as talented as you thought. It would take a very long time for me to obtain my golden core. It would also take a while for me to cross this forest of lost mist."

"I might never be able to kill even one bug in the Loom Forest, and defeating Man Zhang, the sect leader of Silver Harmony Immortal Sect, is simply impossible," Han Shun glanced at God Han Ye and continued, "God Han Ye is the one who made everything possible for me, he gave me all the power needed in order to catch up and stay by Bai Gege's side. I will forever be grateful to him, and that's why…." 

Han Shun looked Bo Pengfei straight in the eyes and said, "I will do anything to stay by his side, even if that means I will accept an evil god to be part of me."

"… Master Bai will never accept you if he knows that you're working with an evil god," Bo Pengfei said, trying to knock some sense into Han Shun. 

"That's why I will hide this forever," Han Shun replied. "I will ensure that Bai Gege will never know about this, and I will eliminate any risk. That risk also includes you, Senior Brother Peng."

Bo Pengfei closed his eyes. Han Shun was a lost cause. He was beyond help at this point. 

Because Bo Pengfei saw the dangerous obsession in Han Shun's eyes. He truly loved Master Bai, but he was still an insecure little boy deep in his heart. 

He was scared that Master Bai would never return his affection had he not been as powerful as his current self.

"I may know more about Master Bai than you. At least I know what kind of person he is," Bo Pengfei said. He looked straight in Han Shun's eyes, looking at Han Shun like a kid, "You've ruined your chance to be with him, Han Shun."
