Chapter 935: 15.152

"Why would I worship that God anyway? He has never shown himself in front of me. How am I supposed to know if he is real?" He complained as he dried his hair with the towel.

After all, all he did was follow the family tradition to worship Bai Shijue, God of Prosperity and Purity.

Of course, worshipping one of the most powerful that ever existed gave him prosperity, as his family had been the de facto priest of God Bai Shijue for generations.

"I'm supposed to be the main priest, but… how come God Bai Shijue never came to me? In my dream, at least, I can have this unwavering faith within…" he murmured.

He felt an emptiness in his heart, but he tried to ignore it.

After he wore his white robe, he walked out of the bathroom and went to his bedroom.

The bedroom was dark because he hadn't lit the candles. So he took the matches and lit two candles.

The moment he lit the candle near his bed, he jumped in fright when he saw someone sitting at the edge of his bed.

He took a few steps back immediately. He was on full alert, "W—Who are you?!"

He couldn't see the man's face clearly other than the fact that he was wearing a pure white robe.

Yunyu snapped his fingers, and his whole body glowed in the dark, acting like the light that made everything in this room visible.

He shone with a gentle shimmer as he stared at the young man and smiled, "It is about time for me to visit you, my dear subject. I am Bai Shijue, God of Prosperity and Purity."

Yunyu saw Han Min 2.0 and was dazed, amazed by his presence.

A tear slowly dropped from the edge of his eye and kowtowed in front of his God.

"M—M—My Lord, the symbol of light and purity, this humble one… this humble one worships you, only you…."

"Lift your head and look at me, dear subject," Bai Shijue said with his echoing voice.

Han Min 2.0 raised his head slowly and looked up at the beautiful face he had never seen in his entire life. He was handsome, so handsome that he couldn't even put it into words.

God Bai Shijue also had this gentle and pure aura that made you want to devote yourself just to make him happy.

"M—My lord… My God…"

"Speak your name, dear subject."

"T—This subject's name… is Han Ning, My Lord," Han Ning said. He lowered his head again, feeling guilty that he had doubted the existence of the God he worshipped.

[Pupa: Quite a flashy entrance you got there.]

[Shush! He thinks of me as his God. Of course, I have to show up with a flashy entrance, so he will worship me with more devotion!]

[Pupa: And you said that you don't want to be worshipped any longer.]

[W—Well, people changed, right?]

[Pupa: But you said that you're a God.]

[Ugh, you really know how to have the last words.]

[Pupa: It's a skill I picked up for assisting a spicy chicken host for so long.]

"Worry not, my dear subject, Han Ning. I am here not to punish you but to dispel the doubt in your heart. I know you have started growing a doubt, and I see you as my precious priest," Bai Shijue said.

Han Ning's body trembled. He was thinking about all the sneering, the doubt, and even insulting his God because he thought everything was just old folklore without any credible source.

But now that God Bai Shijue was in front of him, he had no more doubt in his heart. He wanted to devote the rest of his life to God Bai Shijue's priest. Even after death, he would still serve him!

"M—My God, My Lord, am I… the only one who can see you?" Han Ning asked. He started growing a little sense of possession in his heart, hoping that he would be the one who could only see God Bai Shijue, which made him feel so special.

"Not quite, My dear subject. I am visible to any of your descendants and ancestors," Bai Shijue said. "That means your father, grandfather, son, grandson, et cetera, will have the ability to see me."

"B—Because you've blessed our blood, My Lord?"

"Because I have blessed Han Min. I adopted and trained him when I visited and lived in this place for a while. However, I am yet to know his whereabouts now. Is he your father, Han Ning?"

"Han Min is my… great grandfather, My Lord…."

Yunyu almost got a heart attack when Han Ning said Han Min was his great grandfather. He thought he had left only for a generation at least, maybe about ten to twenty years.

But he didn't expect to have left for such a long time because there was no time in the cultivation realm. Only the day and night circle passed like nothing since everyone inside was either an immortal or aged extremely slowly.

[Oh crap, I was thinking about visiting him once or twice after a while. But I didn't know that he is nothing but bones under the ground now.]

"May I know whether your great grandfather is still alive, Han Ning?"

Han Ning raised his head and nodded towards his God, "Y—Yes, My Lord! My Great grandfather is still alive. His health has been declining for a while, but he should rest in his courtyard!"

"I see. Can you guide me to his room? I want to have a few words with Han Min. After all, he is the one I adopted when he was a kid," Bai Shijue said.

"Y—Yes, My Lord!" Han Ning got up and slid the door open, "Please follow me, My Lord. I can show his courtyard to you."

Bai Shijue got up, hovered two inches from the ground, and walked in the air, showing his miracle towards his current priest.
