"But I did, as the God of Purity and Prosperity, loathed you who have tried your best to make me happy despite all the wrong things you did," Bai Yunyu muttered. "I am unfit to be called the God of Purity, when I can't even forgive you, maybe that's why I changed my name to Bai Yunyu. It's my way to escape my cruelty."

Han Ye's eyes widened, not sure how he should process this. 

The Bai Shijue in this cycle was so weird. He did strange things and said weird things that he had never said before in the previous cycle. 

Han Ye had a sliver of hope that something would change between them. He was sick of repeating the endless cycle, and he missed his wife a lot.

He missed Bai Shijue so much that he could only lament his fate as he could not reunite with his wife without succumbing to cruelty like this.

Bai Yunyu could see a trace of longing, pain, and desperation in Han Ye's eyes. In the end, they were two souls desperately loving and hurting each other, trying to find a way to selfishly hold each other.

But they were holding too tightly until one of them shattered, and the other would break because he lost the one he loved.

"Husband, I will stop you this time, just like what I did in previous cycles," Bai Yunyu said. "But I don't want to grief as I kill and seal you. I don't want to wail, repeatedly calling your name as I'm overcome by grief."

"I want to remember you, the only person that I ever love, and will continue to love."

Bai Yunyu's words somehow made Han Ye nervous, and he tried to cover his nervousness by yelling, "Quit talking bullshit! Just stab me in the heart with your sword, and let's end this!"

Bai Yunyu closed his eyes, and his smile was so sincere Han Ye's cold dead heart suddenly started beating once more.

"W—Wife?" Han Ye's voice started shaking, unable to guess what his wife would do next. He was actually scared right now. He was scared that Yunyu would do something unimaginable that would hurt him. "W—What are you going to do?"

Bai Yunyu opened his eyes and stared straight at Han Ye, "You're right, husband, let's end this."

Bai Yunyu suddenly dropped his sword and stared straight into Han Ye's eyes.

The tip of Han Ye's sword touched Bai Yunyu's chest, where his heart was located, but Yunyu didn't try to move, nor did he looked scared.

Han Ye panicked once he realized what Yunyu wanted to do. He tried to move his sword, but he was chained by Baishe.

Then, he tried to stop himself from gathering energy in his dark sphere. He wanted to snap the dark sphere to make it disappear, so he could regain his power and break free from Baishe's chain.

But Bai Yunyu already predicted that he commanded, "Pupa."

"Yes, Master."

Pupa teleported behind Master Han Ye and activated a code, "Code 888: Unbreakable Chain."

Pupa summoned a dark chain that helped Baishe to stop Master Han Ye from moving altogether.

He couldn't close his eyes at this point, so he was forced to see what Bai Yunyu was about to do.

The only part he could move was his mouth.

"You are crazy! Bai Yunyu, stop!" Han Ye yelled in desperation. But Bai Yunyu continued advancing towards him. 

The tip of Han Ye's sword pierced through Bai Yunyu's chest.

Bai Yunyu frowned, enduring the pain, and continued walking forward. Hence, the sword continued piercing his chest until it stabbed his heart.

"No! Yunyu! Shijue! Stop! You're hurting yourself!" Han Ye pleaded desperately. "I don't want to hurt you! Wife, STOP THIS!"

Bai Yunyu's face had gotten paler, and he was sweating as he endured the pain. His legs were shaking, but he continued walking until the sword had pierced his heart completely. 

"NO! WIFE! MY WIFE! DON'T HURT YOURSELF!" Han Ye was forced to see how his sword was coated with blood, and Bai Yunyu's chest was soaked in red. 

Bai Yunyu stopped when he could finally rest his head on Han Ye's chest. His breathing was heavy. He knew that he was going to die soon.

So he looked up to see Han Ye, who was crying. He smiled and traced Han Ye's jaw with his finger before giving him a kiss.

It was a deep kiss full of longing and desperation. Han Ye wanted to kiss Bai Yunyu longer, but Yunyu separated their lips and muttered weakly, "Now, Pupa."

Pupa activated another code, "Code 777: Ultimate Soul Separation Mode."

Before Han Ye could say a thing, he felt his soul forcefully being pulled away from Han Shun's body. He screamed in agony because he knew this must've been a trick Yuzhong silently taught to the System.

Nobody could separate his soul from Han Shun's body except his fellow God, Han Yuzhong or Bai Shijue.

"DAMN YOU, YUZHONG! ARRGHHH!" Han Ye cursed as his soul was finally separated from Han Shun's body. 

Han Shun's real soul started regaining consciousness, and when he could finally see, he saw Bai Gege's chest coated with blood. 

"B—Bai Gege?" Han Shun was unsure if what he saw was right or if he was just dreaming. 

Bai Gege smiled at him, and with his dying breath, he muttered, "You're now the strongest God in this world. Han Shun, this is not your fault, don't blame yourself."

Bai Yunyu closed his eyes, and his soul left his body.

Yunyu could hear Han Shun's scream of terror as he realized what had just happened, but Bai Yunyu couldn't do much to comfort Han Shun because he saw Han Ye trying to recover from the pain of getting his soul separated. 

"Wife! Don't leave me!" Han Ye yelled desperately as God's soul tried to catch Bai Yunyu's soul.

Yunyu looked at Pupa, and Pupa nodded. 

Pupa returned to Yunyu and activated another code, "Code 404: Unknown World."
