Thus, Yunyu's life was much more vibrant after Zhao Yun—or Yun Ge became his friend. 

Yun Ge visited him a lot in the coffee shop. He usually came alone, with his stacks of books and laptop in his backpack. He ordered the same thing and sat at the same spot.

He always greeted Yunyu and often asked Yunyu to come and sit with him because he wanted company, which Yunyu had grown accustomed to.

Sometimes, he would bring his students to do a lecturing session in this coffee shop. They would all gush at the handsome Zhao Yun, but Zhao Yun didn't seem to be looking at any of the girls—or boys.

"Are you sure you don't want to date any of them?" Yunyu asked as he sat facing Yun Ge, who had just finished his lecturing session with four female students.

Zhao Yun shook his head, "Relationship between teacher and student is strictly forbidden. I don't want to lose my job."

"You know nobody can stop you outside of the university, right? You can always ask them on a date first," Yunyu suggested, but Zhao Yun seemed to get distraught by the idea.

"Stop talking about it. I don't like any of them."

"Um… okay then…"

To be honest, Yunyu was also unsure of his heart.

Naturally, he didn't want Yun Ge—or any of Han Ye's incarnations to fall in love with anyone other than him. It was almost like an instinct to defend what was his, and he believed that all of Han Ye Gege's incarnations were his.

"Anyway, you should come with me to the university today," Yun Ge said.

"Hm? For what?"

Zhao Yun smiled thin and took something from his bag. He slid an envelope toward Yunyu and said, "They want to mail this to your address, but I volunteered to give it to you, since we're friends."

Bai Yunyu stared at the envelope with doubt. He was scared that it might be something bad such as a rejection letter, but judging from Yun Ge's smile, Yunyu was at least assured that it shouldn't be that bad.

Bai Yunyu opened the envelope and read the content.

It only took him a few seconds to read it, and his body trembled, "Yun Ge, this is…."

Zhao Yun smiled, "Congratulations! You're now a freshman, and you have a full scholarship until your graduation! That's why I want to bring you to the university today, you have to reregister!"

Bai Yunyu should've expected much. But there was this indescribable happiness in his heart. In his previous life, when he idolized Han Ye Gege as an obsessive fan, Yunyu would ditch everything, including studying, just to pursue acting to be with his idol.

But now, he took a route that was far from Han Ye Gege.

Yunyu was happy because he had gained freedom of choice, free from the chain called love. 

"Thank you for the great news, Yun Ge. Let me change my shirt first, I'll finish my shift soon," Yunyu said. He got up and went to the staff room to change his clothes and get ready to go to the university.

Zhao Yun watched Yunyu's back, and his smile widened, "I'm so happy that you don't seem burdened, Wife…."

[???: Are you sure you want this? Mother might have a different path and forget about you completely.] 

A voice inside his head asked. Of course, he knew who it was.

[I don't, obviously. I want to be together with him again. I want him to be mine because he is my wife. He is the love of my life, and since I'm an immortal, I am damned for eternity to love him.]

[???: Then why are you trying to support him meaninglessly like this?]

[I want him to be happy. I want him to experience a life without the pain that I caused… even if that means we won't be together…]

[???: You're lying to yourself, Father.]

[Shut up. Let me do it my way.]

Thus, Zhao Yun faked his smile when Bai Yunyu came out looking all happy.

"I'm ready!" Yunyu said. "Let's go!"

Zhao Yun assisted Yunyu until he finished his second registration. Yunyu was officially a freshman at a private university now. He had full tuition, and he was taking Pharmacy, something that was far from Acting. 

It felt like he was carving his own fate.

"Congratulations, Yunyu," Zhao Yun said as he waited for Yunyu outside the admin office.

Yunyu smiled wide until his teeth showed, "Thank you so much, Yun Ge. I want to celebrate it with you, how about we go to a hotpot restaurant? I will treat you!"

"You're going to treat me? Oh, then it's a coincidence," Zhao Yun fished something out of his breast pocket and showed it in front of Yunyu. "I also want to treat you as your gift for being accepted here. It's a theme park ticket for two, will you go with me?"

"Yun Ge…" Bai Yunyu stared at the two theme park tickets, and his eyes started watering. He never actually went to a theme park before. Because his parents weren't in a good relationship since he was young, they never took him somewhere nice.

Meanwhile, he never experienced that kind of life as Bai Shijue—God of Prosperity as well. He was created to be upright and strict, so he never had that much fun until he met with Pupa, of course.

Bai Yunyu jumped at Yun Ge and hugged him tight, "Thank you so much, Yun Ge!"

"Whoa—Whoa!" Zhao Yun was taken aback when Yunyu hugged him tightly. He raised his hands instantly to fight off the urge to embrace his beloved back. 

He also swallowed his saliva a few times, trying to think of other things, so Yunyu wouldn't notice a hardening thing below. 

"Y—You can release me now, Yunyu. No need to hug me," Zhao Yun said.

"Ah, sorry!" Yunyu quickly released Zhao Yun and took a step back. He still had a smile on his face, "I was too excited! Thank you so much for the gift, Yun Ge!"
