Pearl and her forces also saw Watt who was initially far away closing in on the distance.

They were shocked by his actions of moving immediately to the battlefield to the point they didn't notice the similarity between the silver wind and harbinger.

Watt's board glowed as the wind elemental energy charged with his approach, and when he finally entered the battlefield, he made a quick and hard turn.

*SWOOSH*

A large wind blade cut through the sins like they are vegetables. Then only they noticed Pearl and her group noticed the board. Watt's cards started flying as he jumped into the battlefield and started his killing spree.

Sam and his beasts are already doing a light work out of the sins, now Watt also joined.

Of course that is not the last of their surprises.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

Another explosive noise, Jack and Philip both of them dropped at the same time and made their way to the battlefield similarly on their boards. They are not holding back anything.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

Rest of Sam's friends and even White started coming down after another with very little time gap. White was still focused. He didn't know what to make of the situation. He looked at Pearl and then his gaze hardened he held his cane and started attacking the sins.

The forces realized that they made the wrong bet here.

Because of the special means they employed, the sins will not attack them, but the same will not apply to the slayers of those sins. Once the whole group of elite slaughters finish it off with the sins, it will be their time.

"Madam Pearl, we need to get out of here immediately. We might not survive."

The same guy who reassured Pearl a few minutes ago, completely changed his tune. Pearl wanted to slap the shit out of him. It was almost like he jinxed the whole thing. The moment he said, that their victory is imminent, the tables turned.

Of course, she couldn't care about that pettiness now. She has to find a way out of this situation and fast or else….

Only god knows. Or even the god might not know.

However, there is no way out for her. due to the modifications they themselves made, the exits will not open, even if they surrender at this moment. Since their very own sins merged with the rest of the sins out there, they need to finish off all the sins before they could leave.

From the looks of it, these people might just finish it off. After racking her brains for a moment, she finally came to a conclusion.

"We need to attack them." She told the man beside him.

The man understood without any elaboration. Their opponents are currently swarmed by the sins. Even if they have extreme upperhand, they still had their hands full. They cannot afford to be distracted with sheer number.

And Pearl and her forces don't know if they can survive if their opponents deal with the sins by themselves, they only found one way out.

They need to kill their opponents right now and they clear the remaining sins and then finally they will be able to escape.

Thus, they made their move instantly. This attacks are led by the long range attackers as they are the ones that have high probability of dealing high damage without losing their lives.

They believed so because now they have utmost freedom. With none of their allies around their opponents, they have free reign over the attacks. Even if they missed, it would be the sins.

However, as soon as they started attacking, Sam turned his focus on to them.

"Hopper, One."

He called out. Two of the beasts that he contracted with. Void hopper and the shadow mouse.

"Tear them apart."

Just like Pearl's men, Sam didn't need to give them detailed orders. Void Hopper tore open the space and hopped into it, while Shadow mouse ordered hundreds of shadow mouse he had under his command to make a move and disappeared into the shadows.

Pearl who was at the forefront since the start, finally decided it was time for her to be at the rear. She didn't feel safe and this stance gave her relative comfort.

She looked at a mage throwing blazing fire attacks that are solely focused on Sam and his surroundings. She could see Sam having a bit of hard time focusing, but all of a sudden, the mage stopped the attacks and fell to the ground while clutching her stomach.

Pearl immediately ran to her and check what happened and then she saw a large tear on the mage's stomach.

The tear is laced with active spatial energy and right in front of Pearl's eyes, the energy rampaged through the flesh of the mage.

She tried to lift the mage, but she realized that the mage is locked down. Even when Pearl got up and her support being absent to hold the mage in that weird position, the mage didn't move.

She didn't fall back on the ground and instead just stayed there half floating and half leaning on the ground.

The spatial energy in the tear started increased and soon everyone witnessed as the flesh of the mage being torn apart and being sucked into the tear. Within no time, all that was left is a lump of torn flesh and blood sprayed all over.

That is just the beginning. An archer not too far away was swarmed by black shadows that slowly cut him apart bit by bit and soon he was torn into a million pieces in front of their eyes, finally turning into minced meat, along with his bones and innards.

The whole endeavor is gruesome and retching.

Pearl almost vomited right there on the spot, but she could only gasp as one long ranger attacker after another was torn apart one by one. These beasts took Sam's orders in a literal senses and they killed these people in the most painful manner.

Watching this, Pearl knew that there is no chance of winning and her knees finally buckled completely. She fell down in despair.

She doesn't know how the next few hours have passed. Its like the whole battle flashforwarded and the next thing she knew, Sam is standing in front of her.

Tall and mighty, with his whole body soaked in blood most of which belonged to his enemies. The nourishing energy did nothing to him. He didn't even absorb a hit of it. She saw his friends, including White all standing nearby.

Everyone's eyes focused on her.

In the whole force that she brought, only a few people remained and when she saw them, she noticed that all of them had different uniforms. Only one person each group has remained and they are all Sam's captives for now.

Of course, not for long.

Sam raised the reaper and placed it on her neck.

Pearl looked at him with teary eyes and bated breath.

"Who are you?"

She asked.

Sam frowned at the question.

"Just why did you come into my life. Do you know what I have to endure to until I climbed this far? Do you know what it feels like having a father like mine? Do you know what it feels to constantly live up to harsh expectations of someone who would see you in a heart beat if they were promised enough power?

I waited to be the official part of the academy my whole life.

This is supposed to be my era. This is supposed to be my road to freedom and salvation.

But YOU. You came and destroyed everything. You stole my thunder. You stole my glory. I deserved this, you bastard. I deserved the glory that you are currently enjoying. The reverence you have, the fear you enjoy, it is all supposed to be mine.

You stole it from me.

Who are you to deserve this? Who are you to steal this from me?"

Sam stood there in silence before saying.

"You deserve all this? I stole this?

Fuck off. The strong win. Always. That is all there is to it. Go cry a river in hell."

*SWOOSH*

The reaper was pulled back and he swung it at her neck. He needs to get more information about this whole incident, but for that she doesn't need to be alive. Sam can just use soul search and he will have all the information he needs.

The sword almost landed on her neck, but….

*BANG*

An invisible barrier appeared out of nowhere, stopping Sam's sword. He frowned and noticed that in the middle of Pearl's chest, something is glowing and the next moment, a projection came out of it.

A human silhouette appeared. Theron. Pearl's father appeared.

The projection looked around ignoring Sam.

"So, the plan failed."

He muttered and turned to look at Sam.

"You must be Sam that Pearl talked about."

Sam didn't answer and just pulled his sword back. His injected more energy into the attack and swung it again.

*BANG*

The barrier stopped the attack, but this time the force made the projection ripple.
