Chapter 86 – The New Year

“Out of everyone in the family, third brother likes chili peppers the most. How can he not add it? But he didn’t add much. It’s just the right amount. With the weather like this, he should eat some chili peppers to warm his body,” Ji Jianwen said with a smile.

Mother Ji ate the fried fish balls. Although it was good, she still said, “This wasted too much oil.”

Ji Jianwen did not say more. His mother was worried about the oil. He was sure that the oil used to fry the fish balls could be used by his family for almost half a month.

The way Mother Ji said it showed that she had a good idea of what Lao San’s family conditions were like. Basically, every day was like a New Year celebration for them and had to include fish, meat, and so on.

The next day, Ji Jianyun went fishing again and made fried fish balls for Su Danhong. She was very happy and enjoyed the show of love from her husband.

Mother Ji came out at this time and said, “The three of you will follow me to the kitchen to help out. Danhong, you can take care of the children.”

Yun Lili had no choice but to let go of her daughter. Her daughter was drawn to the dolls Xiaozhen and Xiaoyu had brought and simply ignored her mother.

Ji Yunyun couldn’t stand it and said, “I’ll take care of the baby. Third sister-in-law, you should go and help!”

“Okay.” Su Danhong smiled and gave her son to her.

Ji Yunyun scoffed. See! You’re just so lazy.

A stranger wanted to hold him? Don’t even think about it.

Su Danhong took Xiao Renren. He stopped howling as soon as he saw that it was his mother.

Xiaozhen and Xiaoyu were younger than Hou Wazi, but they are going to start school next year. Su Danhong had heard this from Ji Jianyun, who learned about it when he visited his second brother.

However, they would not be starting school until September 1 of next year. She was not going to buy it yet and it would not be too late to give them one later.

Therefore, she bought gloves for both sisters. It was suitable to keep them warm.

So when Hou Wazi was learning math, she also learned a bit with him. Right now she had mastered the multiplication table.
