It was Denzel. The image of a naughty, troublemaking boy was gone from her mind, replaced with an ugly monster.

Sheila sobbed, and tears streamed down her face. She wasn't sad but angry at herself for not realizing who Miranda was earlier.

"You're not human. You're an animal; no, animals are even better than you." Sheila growled. Her hands squeezed until the blood seeped.

Miranda giggled. "Fufufu. You're naive, Sheila. You won't get anything if you don't dare to sacrifice something. It is how the world works."

"You're insane!"

Pulling the gun sheathed at her waist; Sheila shot the woman without a second thought. However, one of the chimeras protected Miranda.

"What!" She gasped.

"HAHAHAH! Well done, Emma. You're a good girl. Protect your Mama."

Knowing the chimera was Emma, Sheila felt a knife slice through her heart. She could see the image of the girl smiling innocently at that horrible monster.

"Bitch! You are a monster!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

She pulled the trigger repeatedly, firing hatefully at Miranda. Not to be left behind, Izzy also ordered her men to fire.

Brbrbrbrrbr!

Flashes of light filled the room. The kids covered their ears and cowered in fear. Gunshots and shell casings falling to the floor echoed, drowning out the kid's cries.

Cleak.

The sound of the trigger jamming ended the shooting. However, Miranda was still on her feet.

"HAHAHA! Well done, my kids! You're brilliant. It's not wrong of me to keep you!" The old lady cackled scornfully.

Sheila hissed in annoyance. Not a single bullet managed to hit Miranda. The chimera monsters were taking shots for their Mama. And the gangsters could not help but gulp in fear.

Miranda sighed. "Are you satisfied? Now it's my turn to finish you off."

Seeing the chimeras take a deep breath, Klaus quickly cast the spell [Invisible Walls] on the kids.

GRAAAAAAAWRRRRRRR

The monsters cried out, and their screams shook the whole room. Izzy's men collapsed, unable to endure the eardrum-tearing screams. The lab room was so small that the sound resonated, amplifying the vibration waves to the point of damaging the Noise Canceller.

The gangsters writhed on the floor, covering their bleeding ears. Not long after, they passed out. After all, they were not awakeners. Their endurance was weak.

However, the orphans were okay, thanks to Klaus' [Invisible Wall] spell. It was a barrier that resisted all kinds of physical and magical attacks.

On the other hand, Miranda seemed to be fine. The chimeras' screams didn't affect her at all.

"Fufufu! Awakener is indeed different from the others. I envy you guys, having such incredible physical endurance." Miranda hissed. A devilish grin bloomed on her face. "But we'll see how well you can withstand my kids' rampages!"

After taking a breath, Miranda ordered the chimeras to attack them.

"Graaaaawrrr!"

Seeing the chimeras coming closer, Izzy and Sylvia took the initiative to attack. The fighting duo fearlessly jumped into battle, facing four chimeras at once.

"Don't kill them! They're kids!" Sheila exclaimed.

Sylvia gritted her teeth when she heard it, as did Izzy.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Two chimeras charged at Sylvia. They swung their big hands randomly, but Sylvia was faster. She dodged every incoming attack, and they only punched the floor or empty air.

Izzy was also in the same situation, facing two rampaging monsters. They launched fists at each other. The woman with the iron gauntlet was smaller and faster, so she could sneak up and land a punch.

Watching her two friends battle, Sheila reloads; she wants to sneak up and kill Miranda. However, Klaus restrains her.

"Where are you going, huh?" asked Klaus.

"Take it easy, boss. I won't jump into battle. I just want to kill that bitch." Hatred rang out from Sheila's every word.

"Before you shoot her, one of those chimeras will crush your head. You'll die for nothing."

"Then what should I do, boss!?" Sheila frustratedly yelled in front of his face. A few seconds later, she realized her impoliteness and quickly bowed her head. "I'm sorry."

"Don't let your emotions control you. Your heart may be heated up, but your head must remain cool. You should save them instead of doing something stupid that could get you killed. Save the kids. I can't bend the bars. It looks like the cage is made of non-metallic material."

Sheila looked at the kids who were confined. Then, she realized there were still innocent lives that she had to save.

"You're right, boss. I'm sorry."

After admitting her mistake, Sheila immediately did what Klaus tell to her.

"Hahahaha! My kids! Kill them! Don't let any of them live!"

While Sylvia and Izzy faced the four chimeras, Klaus stood on the periphery. He waited for Sheila to free the orphans before jumping into the battle.

Sheila skulked to the cage, and the kids quickly grabbed the bars. They sobbed with mixed happiness when they saw their big sister come for them.

"Big sis!"

"Sheila!"

While opening the lock with a hairpin, Sheila tried to keep a smile to calm them down.

At the same time, Izzy and Sylvia were increasingly overwhelmed by the four chimeras. The reason was that they couldn't kill them.

Had they not held back, they might have defeated the monsters.

"Redhead! You kill that bitch! Maybe they'll stop attacking after she dies!" Izzy squealed as she dodged the attack.

"You go! I'll distract them!" replied Sylvia.

"Damn it! We need help! Where's your boss? Why isn't he helping!"

While dodging kicks and punches, Sylvia looked around, searching for Klaus' whereabouts. However, that man was nowhere to be seen.

Inwardly, the red-haired woman wondered, "Klaus, where are you?"

Bam!

"Keeeeug!"

A hard blow landed on Sylvia's stomach. She flew up and hit the wall until it cracked. Her mouth spat out blood as she coughed.

"Hahaha!" Miranda cackled devilishly. "One bug knocked out!"

As the old lady watched Sylvia struggling to get up, she realized Sheila was rescuing the orphans. Of course, it angered her.

"Jojo! Get that bitch!"

One of the chimeras that attacked Izzy changed its target. It then approached Sheila with a roar.

"Hurry up and get out!" The short-haired woman shouted.

As the orphans ran in fear, the chimera was drawing closer.

"Grrrraaaw!"

The chimera jumped and hovered right above Sheila's head. They were only two feet apart. She would be crushed to death with just one hit.

Naturally, she closed her eyes.

"I'm dead."

Swooooosh!

Splat!

"Kuaaaarrgggg!"

Opening her eyes, Sheila saw the monster writhing on the floor.

At the last second, an iron pipe shot out at high speed and impaled the monster, saving Sheila from death.

Sheila breathed. "Thank god."

However, at the same time, other chimeras managed to beat up Izzy. The iron-gloved woman took dozens of hits from them. She was lying with bruises all over her body.

Just as one chimera was about to land a fatal blow, a bright light suddenly engulfed the room. The light dissolved the monsters.

Bam! Bam! Bam! The sound of bone hitting bone echoed throughout the room, punctuated by the screams of the monsters.

"Graaaawww!"

A chimera fell with bruises on its body with several broken bones.

The one who beat it up was Sylvia.

After emitting a light equivalent to a flash bang, she took the opportunity to beat up one of the chimeras while the others were temporarily blinded.

"Run!" shouted Sylvia.
