Unlike the more rational female Zergs, most male Zergs are sensitive and cannot tolerate the slightest pain. They indulge in pleasure and prefer to be liked and surrounded by others.

For a male Zerg like Du Lu, being rejected would cause significant harm, especially for this delicate little male Zerg.

Originally, Mo’er had complex feelings for Du Lu, but now he saw how exhausted Du Lu looked because of him, and he couldn’t help but feel soft-hearted.

‘As long as he apologizes and promises not to keep female servants, I will forgive him.’ Mo’er gazed at those clean and pure green eyes and took a step back in his heart.

“Not bad.” Pulled out from his focused studying, and with his mind relaxed after being tense for so long, Lin Hanchuan couldn’t help but cover his mouth and let out a small yawn.

“For me, you don’t have to pretend to be strong.” Seeing Lin Hanchuan’s action, Mo’er didn’t believe that he was really yawning. Instead, he thought Lin Hanchuan was trying to hide his tears. His expression became complicated.

Pretend to be strong? What does that mean? Lin Hanchuan couldn’t figure it out; he was genuinely tired. He said unceremoniously, “Why are you here?”

Since Mo’er had become the new emperor after overthrowing the old emperor, there was no Zerg that dared to speak to him so impolitely. Even when he was a marshal before, no Zerg dared to speak to him so impolitely.

Only this male Zerg dared to be so arrogant.

“I came to see you.” After a few seconds of silence, Mo’er, following his past experiences, expected that the little male Zerg would take the opportunity to lower himself and show a cute smile to make up with him.

“Nothing interesting to see.” Lin Hanchuan’s eyes remained calm. “I won’t send you off.”

The little male Zerg was too calm. His eyes didn’t look like they were seeing his female emperor with whom he had been together for years. It was more like looking at a stranger female Zerg, or even worse than that. At least when he looked at a stranger female Zerg, there would be no hidden aversion in his eyes.

“What do you mean?” Seeing his attitude, Mo’er, who had deliberately lowered himself, got angry. The softness that had emerged a moment ago disappeared like morning dew under the sun. “You’ve caused enough trouble; I don’t have that much time to play house with you now. When you stop throwing tantrums, I’ll come to see you again.”

Mo’er left in a huff.

Looking at his angry back, Lin Hanchuan was puzzled. [“Why is he so upset? It’s inexplicable.”]

[“I don’t know either. He came inexplicably, and left inexplicably,”] 001 also complained on behalf of Lin Hanchuan, [“He even scolded you before leaving. So unfair.”]

Lin Hanchuan never cared much about people or things he wasn’t interested in. He was puzzled for a moment and then lay back on the bed, preparing to rest for a while. After leaving the secret room, Mo’er still had a tough battle ahead.

001 kindly closed the door and drew the curtains for Lin Hanchuan.

Mo’er didn’t leave too far. He turned and went to Xue Lai’s room next door.

“Your Majesty.” Seeing Mo’er, Xue Lai’s face showed surprise and delight. He greeted him with a smile, “Congratulations on Your Majesty’s successful ascent to the throne!”

Xue Lai’s emerald green eyes were full of pure joy and excitement, and they only reflected Mo’er’s face.

Mo’er’s anger eased a little. He slowed down his tone, “I haven’t had a deep mental treatment during this period. I’ll trouble you with it.”

The first thing after leaving the secret room was that Mo’er wanted to share his joy with his own male Zerg, but he didn’t get the expected cheers and hugs. Instead, he was faced with a cold and icy face. Instead, it was the other male Zerg who gave him the purest emotional feedback.

Originally, Mo’er wanted his male Zerg to provide him with mental treatment, but now…

There was a hint of surprise in Xue Lai’s eyes, “Would Your Majesty like to undergo deep-level mental treatment?”

Mo’er remained silent for a long time, looking at Xue Lai’s surprised and delighted eyes, as well as his timid expression. For some reason, he suddenly thought of the little male Zerg from a long time ago.

The mental world of female Zergs is extremely sensitive and filled with their past experiences. When receiving mental treatment without the presence of male Zergs, most of the time, only superficial issues are dealt with.

Once undergoing deep-level mental treatment, it is inevitable to see the majority of the female Zerg’s past and delve into his innermost thoughts. That’s why Mo’er used to resist deep-level mental treatment. He procrastinated until he was forced to go on a blind date and met the green-eyed little male Zerg.

The newly adult male Zerg was clean and naive, wearing his emotions on his face. From the first moment Mo’er saw him, he knew that this little male Zerg liked him. His clear eyes were filled with surprise as he timidly looked at Mo’er. His face blushed, and he remained that way throughout the meeting, completely unaware that he had exposed his true feelings.

As the time for parting approached, Mo’er didn’t express any desire for another date. The little male Zerg returned home with a dejected look, watching Mo’er with reluctant eyes but maintaining the decorum and politeness expected of a male Zerg. He didn’t realize that he had been so transparent.

For some reason, Mo’er was quite satisfied with this little male Zerg, but he didn’t tell him anything. Instead, he left on his own, appearing indifferent.

Sitting in the car, Mo’er noticed through the one-way glass that the little male Zerg was pouting and murmuring something while looking in his direction. Eventually, he dejectedly entered his own house.

It was much later when Mo’er learned what the little male Zerg had been murmuring: “I didn’t even get to ask for an autograph, what a pity.”

For Mo’er, whether the male Zerg liked him or not was inconsequential. To him, a male Zerg was simply a precious and beautiful statue that he must bring home as an expensive and exquisite decoration. When needed, he would take it out to show reverence.

Choosing a male Zerg for marriage was not about love, but this little male Zerg, who had just reached adulthood and was easy to control, had a simple mind that made him an ideal match.

Many years later, the little male Zerg, who used to have eyes full of surprise and admiration, had changed. His eyes were still clear, but there was an added sense of calmness.

Feeling a sense of emptiness, Mo’er looked into Xue Lai’s green eyes and said, “Let’s proceed with the deep-level treatment.”

A burst of excitement flashed in Xue Lai’s eyes, and his excited voice trembled, “Okay, Your Majesty!”

During mental treatment, the female Zerg would achieve better results when more relaxed. So Mo’er tried to let his guard down and lay on the bed, while Xue Lai knelt beside it and suggested, “Why not rest your head on my lap? It might help you relax even more.”

Mo’er hummed in agreement and laid his head on Xue Lai’s lap. But as he did so, he unintentionally frowned. He found the scent of Xue Lai’s perfume a bit pungent; his own male Zerg rarely used any perfume, while Xue Lai’s body was filled with a light fragrance that others might find pleasant but Mo’er found bothersome. Despite this, he said nothing; after all, Xue Lai wasn’t his own male Zerg.

Xue Lai stopped speaking and concentrated on mental treatment. Mo’er closed his eyes, remaining conscious throughout the process.

After some time, when Mo’er thought the treatment might still need much longer, Xue Lai’s soft fingers gently touched his forehead, and he spoke tenderly, “Your Majesty, I have completed the treatment for you.”

“Is that it?” Mo’er opened his eyes, feeling puzzled.

In the past, whenever he underwent treatment during sleep, he would wake up refreshed and invigorated, as if all mental fatigue had disappeared. However, now he could clearly sense that there were still lingering damages in his mind, as if only half of the garbage had been cleared, while the other half remained deposited in his mental world.

“This is how deep-level mental treatment works,” Xue Lai explained with a touch of grievance. “Your Majesty, if you don’t trust me, why did you ask me to provide you with mental treatment?”

“It’s nothing. It was just a misunderstanding on my part.” Mo’er thought for a moment and found the answer.

When male and female Zergs mated, they developed a deeper connection, making the mental treatment more effective. Perhaps this was why the treatment had such an immediate effect on the little male Zerg.

“That’s good then.” Xue Lai’s relieved expression appeared, followed by a smile. “It was quite challenging to provide Your Majesty with deep-level mental treatment. Your Majesty’s mental strength is truly remarkable.”

Xue Lai’s lips were now less pale than before, showing signs of exertion.

“It’s probably because of that.” Mo’er felt more relaxed now, “My male Zerg, after treating me, is usually so exhausted that he doesn’t want to move and ends up sleeping until the next afternoon.”

Xue Lai widened his eyes in surprise and said, “Your Majesty, with your strength, how did you end up with such a weak male Zerg?”

What kind of male Zerg could be so exhausted that he couldn’t get up until the next afternoon? Xue Lai seemed to have overestimated the little male Zerg’s position.

“…He’s just recently come of age. When he grows to your age, he won’t be as exhausted.” Mo’er’s eyes softened, and he casually replied.

Xue Lai immediately lowered his head, concealing the brief distortion of his expression. He gritted his teeth and said, “Yes, indeed, there might be a generation gap between younger and older Zergs.”

Mo’er’s lips twitched. He was finding it increasingly difficult to understand the little male Zerg’s thoughts.

However, fortunately, Mo’er was now the Zerg Emperor, holding absolute power in the insect world. The entire Zerg Star was under his rule, and no female Zerg would dare to approach him even if he decided not to keep that little male Zerg anymore.

At least…with eyes as crimson as if blood might seep out, Mo’er was determined that if the little male Zerg dared to betray him, he would make him pay the price.

Feeling a little cold, before he could wrap himself in a blanket, a soft and comfortable one flew over and covered him from all sides, shielding him from any chill.

[“Thank you, 001,”] Lin Hanchuan mumbled his thanks in his mind.

001 replied quietly, [“You’re welcome. It wasn’t me, though.”]

Those words echoed in his mind for a moment before Lin Hanchuan understood what 001 meant. He widened his eyes in astonishment and saw Lin Jianshen standing silently nearby, looking disappointed and regretful. Lin Jianshen typed with his main brain, “I thought you might need me.”

“So, you came…” Lin Hanchuan looked at Lin Jianshen’s calm expression and felt a surge of gratitude. “This is the palace. How did you get in? Are you injured?”

While speaking, Lin Hanchuan struggled out from under the blanket and pressed Lin Jianshen down, searching up and down, but thankfully found no signs of wet blood or wounds.

Relieved, Lin Hanchuan realized their current posture was quite ambiguous. He had Lin Jianshen pinned on the bed, while the larger and stronger Lin Jianshen allowed him to roam freely, his eyes filled with indulgence.

For some reason, Lin Hanchuan felt a little flushed. He hurriedly got off Lin Jianshen and changed the topic, saying, “You were too impulsive. Breaking into the palace alone like this, what would you do if something went wrong…”

Seeing Lin Jianshen remain silent, his gaze focused on him like a loyal and devoted big black dog, Lin Hanchuan paused before changing the tone of his words, “If you were caught, we would never see each other again. I’d be trapped in the palace, entangled with Mo’er until death.”

As expected, as soon as Lin Hanchuan finished speaking, Lin Jianshen’s expression changed. He seemed to be touched on a sensitive spot, revealing sharp fangs and an aggressive look in his eyes.

“Good to know.” Lin Hanchuan patted Lin Jianshen’s head, “I need you, so… you must stay safe and healthy.”

A glimmer of determination flashed in Lin Jianshen’s eyes. He gathered courage and nuzzled Lin Hanchuan’s palm with his head, showing docility and obedience. The ferocious beast willingly took the collar and handed it over to his chosen master.

He promised to stay well, protecting the delicate little male Zerg. No matter what happens, as long as he’s there, no one will be able to harm the little male Zerg.

Lin Hanchuan only saw the determination in Lin Jianshen’s eyes, thinking that he had recognized his mistake. So, he gave him a sweet date, “As long as you don’t do anything reckless, I’ll stay with you forever.”

The atmosphere between the two became sticky and sweet. 001 couldn’t bear it and grumbled, [“Chuanchuan, he’s not a good person. He… he’s a pervert!”]

Amidst the rush, Lin Hanchuan was puzzled, [“A pervert?”]

Seizing the opportunity, 001 immediately complained, [“He’s been here for quite a while, but he didn’t wake you up. Instead, he just stared at you while you slept with such a strange look in his eyes. If you saw it, you’d definitely get goosebumps.”]

Lin Hanchuan chuckled, [“You’re just a ball. Do you even get goosebumps?”]

Unhappy that his host didn’t take the terrifying mute female Zerg seriously, 001 floated to Lin Jianshen’s head and kicked and punched him.

As they were joking, a polite and restrained knocking sound came from outside the door—three consecutive light knocks, neither loud nor soft, neither fast nor slow. Lin Hanchuan and Lin Jianshen exchanged a glance, and he said, “Find a place to hide.”

Lin Hanchuan felt a little guilty, but he had no choice. A strange female Zerg suddenly appearing in the palace was already suspicious, especially when he was in his room. Lin Hanchuan had no doubt that if Mo’er found out, he would tear Lin Jianshen to pieces.

Lin Jianshen, however, remained unfazed. He glanced around before his eyes landed on the space under the bed, testing the waters.

“…If you think it’s okay, then go ahead.” Lin Hanchuan actually wanted him to hide in another room, like the bathroom. But seeing Lin Jianshen’s determined eyes, he sighed in the end.

Seeing Lin Jianshen swiftly hiding under the bed, if it weren’t for the fact that Lin Hanchuan knew he was a star thief, he would surely mistake him for a professional third-party in a relationship.

A hint of amusement flickered in Lin Hanchuan’s eyes as he went to open the door. As expected, it was Xue Lai standing there.

Facing Lin Hanchuan’s indifferent gaze, Snowleigh showed no surprise. He smiled and said, “Today, I performed deep-level mental treatment for Your Majesty. I found it a bit challenging, so I thought of consulting with you. You have more experience in this field, and this is my first time.”

So, the true third party came to provoke. Lin Hanchuan’s expression turned cold.
