Fellow Boyfriend (3)

When the dumplings were ready, the two carried a large plate of hot dumplings and sat at the table outside. Qin Yuan placed a few in the seasoning bowl, dipped them in, naturally picked one up, and brought it to Ruan Qingmu’s mouth. “Here.”

Ruan Qingmu opened his mouth blankly and bit down stiffly. Ahhhhh, it was even worse. It wasn’t like he didn’t have any hands, so why did he need to be fed?

… He lowered his head and scrambled to pick one up, about to stuff it into his mouth. But when he looked up, he saw the focused and silent eyes of Qin Yuan next to him.

He was stunned for a moment. “What’s wrong?”

Qin Yuan did not say anything, his gaze falling on his chopsticks. Ruan Qingmu followed his gaze and was shocked beyond belief: What the fuck does that mean?? This secretive look, was he supposed to feed it back to him as well?

He didn’t dare to believe it, so he tentatively raised the dumpling and sent it toward Qin Yuan as a gesture. Sure enough, Qin Yuan solemnly opened his mouth.

Ruan Qingmu: “…”

This was too weird! What was this?

As if he had been burned by fire, he quickly retracted his hand and shoved that dumpling into his mouth with force, vaguely shouting, “Student Qin, you grow older one year, not degrees one year. I’m telling you Xiao-Zhuang is seven years old and you’re seventeen years old! Xiao-Zhuang won’t even tell people to feed him, okay?”

Qin Yuan lowered his head silently and sadly began to eat the dumplings.

Ruan Qingmu peeked at him. He didn’t know why, but his heart was softened to a mess, so he said, “Hey, I’m telling you. You’re an adult. Don’t become a mama’s boy after feeling slightly wronged. Men need to be independent, don’t make simple things complicated!”

Only after a long time did Qin Yuan whisper, “But other people are like this.”

Ruan Qingmu looked at him in bewilderment. “Other people who? Like what?”

“Everyone. They can feed each other things.” Qin Yuan’s voice was calm, no happiness or anger could be heard, but his chopsticks poked the dumplings in the bowl repeatedly, almost mashing the three fresh fillings. “The sweethearts on the street. The lovers on the TV.”

Ruan Qingmu’s ears felt like a massive firework had exploded in them. He had just picked up a dumpling, but he didn’t hold it steady and dropped it directly into the dipping bowl, splashing soy sauce and vinegar everywhere and getting a few spots on his face.

He turned his head in bewilderment, thinking he was hallucinating for a moment. Qin Yuan wasn’t speaking an alien language either, but why were the words coming out completely incomprehensible?

“Wh-What are you talking about? Wh-What sweethearts and lovers?”

Qin Yuan stopped his chopsticks, reached out, and grabbed a facial tissue, wiped a few drops of soy sauce from the tip of his nose and face, and finally looked at him with a bit of suspicion and disappointment in his eyes.

He always felt that Ruan Qingmu’s reaction when he woke up was a bit off like he didn’t even remember that the two of them were already lovers. Sure enough.

“Ruan Ruan, you… do you regret it?” His voice was low. “If you haven’t thought clearly about it and want to think about it again, you can directly say so. Between us, we can be frank and open-minded.”

His eyes were calm and deep like an icy lake that hid flames. “I can wait and accept it if you want to think about your feelings slowly, but don’t pretend as if you have a memory loss.”

Ruan Qingmu stared at him in a daze and his heart was confused as if a large bucket of paste had been poured into his brain.

Suddenly, a vivid image came to his mind and a distinct sense of touch seemed to be instantly awakened.

A few fucking hours ago, that kiss… that confession and his careless response. Was it a dream or not???

“I-I have to confirm something,” he stammered incoherently. “Before I slept, I seemed to hear something, but I was sleepy and slightly muddle-headed. That…”

He swallowed with difficulty and his bright eyes looked like he was drunk. “What did you say? Can you repeat it once more?”

Qin Yuan looked at him silently, his eyes burning with something unknown.

“Ruan Ruan, let’s be in a relationship,” he repeated word after word, suddenly reaching out his arms and forcefully wrapping them around Ruan Qingmu’s neck.

He kissed him firmly and determinedly.

It was completely different from the earlier gentle, tentative, light kiss, carrying the fire of youth, cutting off one’s means of retreat, reckless and forward.

“Wuwu–“ Ruan Qingmu was like an exploding bird. His eyes suddenly widened and froze in shock as if he wanted to struggle, but he soon stopped moving and closed his eyes again.

It was unknown how long it took before Qin Yuan let go of Ruan Qingmu, who was flushed and weakened.

“I not only can repeat it once more, but I can do it again.” He said indifferently, “Moreover, you replied okay at that time. You can directly say if you want it again. I can keep on recreating the original scene.”

Ruan Qingmu looked at him dumbfoundedly, bracing his hands back lamentably and touching the corner of the table so that he didn’t fall entirely over.

Only after a long time did he whisper, “Liar.”

Qin Yuan stared at him and calmly retorted, “I’m not lying.”

“You’re a liar!” Ruan Qingmu repeated.

Pah! The whole thing about recreating the original scene was nonsense. Did he think he didn’t remember anything?

Eight hours ago, it was clearly a gentle, light kiss. How could it have been such a fierce kiss that made one’s legs go weak?

“Moreover, I didn’t say okay. I said—” He slowly said, “Just date. Who’s afraid of whom?”

Fixing his eyes firmly on Qin Yuan, he sighed. “But I have to say sorry.”

Qin Yuan’s face suddenly turned miserably pale. He looked at Ruan Qingmu fixedly and spoke with difficulty. “Want to say… sorry?”

Ruan Qingmu nodded his head. “I’m sorry that I thought it was a dream. My answer was too improper and too careless. After seriously thinking about it, it should be this—”

He blushed slightly, but his eyes were bright as he leaned forward and returned a long, gentle kiss on Qin Yuan’s lips.

Then, he lifted his head and said solemnly, “I have no regret. I should take it after buying it. From now onward, we shall look after each other, fellow boyfriend.”
