The Black Necromancer

306 Unique Magic Type

"Do you not worry for your allies? 'He' has made his appearance." As Richard fought against a powerful High A rank from the opposing side, he cast a few glances toward the location where an intense battle was on going. He was a mercenary, and his guild had been contracted by the Gublin Empire to take part in this war. While he did not mind doing it for free, he could not force his members to do the same, hence the hire.

Like him, the man he was fighting was also a mercenary that was based in the Demon Continent, so he had been hired by the Demons. His name was Rudy Bones. Bones was not his actual name, but rather, a moniker that had been given to him by the mercenary industry thanks to the way he fought.

Rudy was a diehard follower of a rather obscure God. The God belonged to the Chaos side, and its rather gory style of magic showed.

Bones sprouted out of Rudy from every impossible part of his body. His crotch, his belly, heck, even his eyes had sprouted bones somehow during the time that Richard had been fighting him! Rudy was the definition of a shameless fighter! His rule in battle stated that any means was accepted, because only the victor told the tale!

"I should be asking you if you are worried for your own allies. You don't know the shit storm that Axel is stirring up." Richard smirked. He was actually just bluffing, as he did not know if Leon would be able to flip the tables on Axel when he appeared.

"Ha! Unless a High A rank appears at the very least, then no one can stop Axel!" Rudy cackled madly as he stabbed a bone spear at Richard.

It was indeed as Rudy said. Although Axel was just a Low A rank, his magic type was incredibly powerful and perverted, no matter who he fought against. His unreasonable magic type allowed him to negate basically all weaknesses he should have, while exploiting the weaknesses of others. Only those that surpassed his power by a significant margin should be able to defeat him. However, that would change as he grew stronger.

The name of this unique and unreasonable skill was Vector Manipulation. No one knew how Axel had gotten this incredible skill, but they all knew that if he could reach Peak A rank with that power, then he would stand at the top of the world.

"Eyes here, fool! Did you ever learn not to get distracted in battle?" Rudy asked with a laugh as Richard parried his spear strike with his long, silver claws.

"I don't need my full concentration to deal with a degenerate like you!" Richard rebutted as he spun around, turning into a silver tornado of claws. Rudy hastily put up a bone shield in front of him. Richard's sharp claws rapidly dug into the shield, and in a few moments, it was nearly broken. He had decided to end his engagement with Rudy in order to help take out Axel. If they all worked together, then surely Axel would be brought down.

BOOM! A tornado of black, green and red energies rose up into the sky. The air turned sharp and blistering in mere moments, forcing Richard and Rudy to disengage and retreat further or else they might get badly injured.

"What is that? Are those still Low A ranks?!" Rudy exclaimed. He had never seen a Low A rank burst out with so much power. Even in the cases where they worked together, there was only so much that they could do. The thought that Axel might fall with that attack crossed his mind. A bone armor sprouted over his body as he prepared to dash forward in order to support Axel.

"Not so fast!" Richard appeared behind him and his claws carved deep gouges into bone armor. His claws glowed brightly with a silver light as he had charged up an attack before hand, so it was able to breach the bone armor.

The shock of having his bone armor breached temporarily froze Rudy. It was only a small moment, but it was enough for Richard to exploit and deliver a barrage of deadly blows.

Crack!

Rudy's bone armor shattered into thousands of pieces, and his body was left with injuries all over. He warily glanced at Richard who had paused from his attack.

"How?" He asked.

"You look down on people too much. As a mercenary, you should take your job serious and always assume something will go wrong." Richard said as he prepared to unleash another wave of attacks to kill Rudy this time. The glow around his claws steadily grew brighter until it glowed like a silver sun under the cloudy skies.

"Now die!" Richard waved his claws forward, projecting deadly silver slashes that would not find it difficult to slice Rudy's body up into pieces.

"Heh, you're the one who underestimated me." Rudy smirked at the last moment. At the same time, his body vanished and a giant bone spike appeared above Richard.

"What?!" Richard tried to put up a proper defense before the bone spike stabbed into his middle and sent him spiraling down to the earth.

"Hahahaha! Did you really think I did not prepare for you?!" Rudy cackled from up above in the sky. A petite woman was floating beside him. She was garbed in an oversized black robes and most of her body was obscured. However, one thing stood out. Her face was exposed and she looked like a wooden doll.

In the next moment, she shrunk and Rudy pocketed her in a spatial ring.

"Now, let me finish this." He prepared to fire a barrage of bone spikes down to the ground when he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

BOOM!

A powerful pressure washed over the entire battlefield as a being wreathed in white flames appeared in the sky.

"Who dares harm my loyal followers?!"
