The Herb King

306 Return to West Ocean City

"How do you plan to transport everyone to your Barden Territory? You must be aware that it would be dangerous to travel in the Northern Region because of the presence of countless magical beasts. Even if you bring a lot of experts to escort them, it will take time to transport all of them." Argus muttered. His words made the others nod their heads in agreement.

Danger lurks everywhere in the Northern Region and even a place that looked relatively safe might be the home of many ferocious creatures!

Aethelwolf tapped his fingers on the stone table as slowly said. "You're right. However, what if there were a Transportation Runes in the Northern Region that leads to the Barden Territory?"

Argus was surprised when he heard this, but he immediately shook his head. "That would indeed make the transportation fast, but you would need a Level 5 Engraver and a team of Level 4 Engravers to achieve that..."

The tribe leaders were downcast when they heard his words. Although they were in the Northern Region, they still knew what an Engraver was and they were also aware that there were only a few such people in the Regalis Continent.

"Watch this..." Aethelwolf muttered calmly as he drew a rune image on the stone table. The rune lit up with multicolored lights as it slowly came to life.

"That is... That is a rune! You are actually a Level 5 Engraver!?" Argus could no longer maintain his calm attitude. He couldn't believe that Aethelwolf was actually an Engraver and a Level 5 Engraver at that! This discovery made him shocked!

"That's right. Other than me, my Barden Territory also has a group of Engravers. With their support, we should be able to make enough Transportation Runes before more Underworlders will descend." Aethelwolf chuckled lightly. He felt happy when he saw an expert like Argus shocked by his means.

This time, Argus no longer doubted him. He had already shown them what he was capable of.

"I will bring my people here as soon as possible so we can start making the Transportation Runes. Other than that, I will also send an army of experts to ensure the safety of everyone while the transportation is underway. Furthermore..." Aethelwolf started telling them his plans and everyone listened closely.

After the short meeting, he bid farewell and left the Northern Region. He then contacted his subordinates in the Barden Territory and relayed his plans to them. The first person he called was the former Queen of the Elves, Queen Irithel Aracan.

"What did you call me for?" A lazy voice could be heard over the Communication Rune. Aethelwolf could already imagine a seductive elf who was rolling naked on the bed. She was the only person who had almost nothing to do in his territory so she spends most of her time sleeping or strolling around.

"I need you to bring a group of Engravers to the Northern Region. Later, I will send you the detailed information on what you guys should do. Also, inform Zachary that half of the Shadow Guards must follow you guys to the Northern Region. I will allow you to use the Gryphons." Aethelwolf muttered in a serious tone.

When Irithel sensed the urgency of the matter, her expression became serious. "Alright. I'll make the arrangements immediately, but what about the territory?"

"You don't have to worry about the territory. As long as Ramiel and the others are there, the territory will be safe." Aethelwolf wasn't worried at all.

"Alright. Alright. Just visit once everything is done." Irithel muttered seductively before she disconnected the call.

Aethelwolf felt his ears tingling at her words. He shook his head and smiled evilly. "After I go back to the territory, I'll punish that seductress!"

Aethelwolf called a few more people and after that, he flew straight to West Ocean City. After all, he had promised that he would watch the martial arts competition.

When he arrived, the competition has already started. He noticed that there were some changes in the stadium. There were eight battle stages at the center and there were many Level 4 Espers who were prepared to intervene once someone's life was at risk. No one wants the geniuses of their empire to die in the competition so the Mystic Island commanded their experts to watch the situation.

After looking around, Aethelwolf quickly found Einar. He was sitting together with Eliazar and General Trevor. As for Olivia, she was sitting obediently beside her Grandpa Einar.

Aethelwolf didn't want to attract attention so he sneakily teleported.

Swoosh!

"Sir Aethelwolf!

"King Aethelwolf!

"Papa!"

Olivia jumped towards him and tightly clung to his neck like a little panda. She then bombarded his face with kisses. "I miss you..." She muttered while pouting pitifully.

Aethelwolf grabbed the little girl and kissed her forehead. "Papa missed you too..." He then took Olivia's seat and sat beside Einar.

"Sir Aethelwolf, where have you been?" Eliazar asked curiously.

Aethelwolf placed Olivia in his lap before he turned his gaze to Eliazar. "I went to the Northern Region to investigate a few things." He didn't plan to hide this so he didn't mind telling them about it.

Eliazar and the old man, Trevor, were surprised when they heard this. They were experts of the Heavenly Might Rankings so they knew a few things about the emergence of the Underworlders in the Northern Region.

"Did you find out anything?" General Trevor asked.

Aethelwolf nodded his head solemnly. "The Underworlders are slowly building their foundation in the Northern Region. In a few years, that place will become their territory."

The faces of Eliazar and General Trevor changed when they heard this.

"Let's not talk about this. We still have time before that day will come. For now, let's see how talented the younger generation is." Aethelwolf muttered as he turned his attention to the eight battle stages.

The young talents of the various empires were displaying their prowess to the crowd, earning them the applause and cheers of everyone.
