The Herb King

333 The Hidden Dangers of the Frigid Snow Dimension

Everyone found themselves surrounded by tall trees that were covered in snow. Their foot sank into the snow with each step and it even reached up to their knees. The temperature was very cold, but this freezing coldness was nothing to experts like them. Most people quickly mobilized their world essence to shield their bodies from the intensely cold temperature. As for those who were confident in their physical bodies, they didn't even bother to release their world essence.

"So this is the Frigid Snow Dimension..."

"Look! Isn't that a Perennial Ice Fruit?" One Level 5 Esper exclaimed as he pointed at a light blue fruit that was hanging on top of a tree with blue leaves. He then jumped up and grabbed the fruit with one swift motion. He was afraid that the others would steal it if he wasn't fast enough.

Everyone turned their gazes and looked at the fruit in the man's hands. They could already feel the dense energy contained inside the fruit. The Perennial Ice Fruit is a Level 5 herb that could enhance one's potential upon consumption. If a normal human eats this fruit, his body would undergo metamorphosis for one whole day and everything goes smoothly, their physique will be enhanced including their Hegel! It was said that whoever eats a Perrenial Ice Fruit would be guaranteed to become a Level 4 Esper! There was even a small chance to become a Level 5 Esper!

"What a lucky guy! He actually found such a valuable fruit right after we entered the Frigid Snow Dimension!"

The man who got the Perennial Ice Fruit immediately kept the fruit inside his storage ring.

Meanwhile, Estes stared at Aethelwolf and asked. "Sir Aethelwolf, do you remember the way to that snow palace you mentioned back then?"

Aethelwolf narrowed his eyes into slits as he used a perception skill to scan the area around them. He also activated his [Virtual Map] in case there were creatures inside the pocket dimension. "This place isn't where I was dropped before. Let's search the area. I believe we will find some clues soon."

Estes nodded his head. He then glanced at the rest and shouted. "Everyone, we are teleported far from the ice palace where our ancestor is sealed so we have to search the surrounding area to look for the path leading to the ice palace! There are dangerous creatures inside this pocket dimension so you guys should stay in the group!"

Hearing this, everyone frowned.

"Are there really dangerous creatures here? We've been here before and all we encountered were some low-level magical beasts. You must be exaggerating, Sir Estes." Lark Whitmond scoffed.

Estes shook his head with a serious expression. "If you don't believe me, I won't stop you from exploring the area, but don't ask for our help when you encounter those beasts." He muttered calmly. He wasn't angered by Lark Whitmond since he knew the man's personality.

"What kind of beasts are they, Sir Estes?" Empress Shiphra asked curiously. Something that could make Estes turn serious was definitely a big deal. She wanted to find out more about these dangerous beasts.

Estes furrowed his eyebrows as he replied. "The Frigid Snow Dimension is a spatial artifact used by our ancestor to contain the seal used by the Ancient Lord of the Underworlders. We don't know what kind of spatial artifact it is and there were no records of it in our ancestor's notes. After being in contact with it for a long time, we learned that this artifact can control space and time. It also has a living world within it which is this pocket dimension. As for the beasts I mentioned, they are magical beasts that survived the harsh temperature of the Frigid Snow Dimension. We call them Ice Demons. Most of them are weak, but there are a few of them who are as strong as Level 5 Espers!"

The faces of the leaders of the various empires turned grave upon hearing this. Even the arrogant Lark Whitmond revealed a tense look.

"Believe me. You don't want to mess with them." Estes muttered while smiling strangely at Lark.

"Come on, Sir Estes! I was just joking with you. I wouldn't dare leave the group!" Lark Whitmond chuckled awkwardly.

While everyone was discussing about the Ice Demons, Aethelwolf was busy scanning the area with his spiritual perception. Not long later, he noticed a familiar pathway. "I found it! I found the path that leads to the ice palace!" He excitedly said as he dashed forward.

Everyone had no choice but to follow him. The group walked for a few hours and they encountered a lot of precious herbs and fruits. The group also met a few weak magical beasts, but these creatures fled when they sensed the group's ferocious aura.

After walking for quite some time, an ice palace entered their field of vision.

"The ice palace! It's really here!" Estes and the other members of the Mystic Island exclaimed as they ran toward the entrance of the palace.

"I have already deactivated the traps and runes when I first came here, but you guys should still be careful." Aethelwolf warned the group as he led them inside the palace.

Everyone looked calm on the surface, but they were actually wary of their surroundings. They observed every inch of the palace with their powerful perceptions.

"There is a powerful Transcendent Rune inside that room so no one must go inside. To tell you guys the truth, I was trapped inside the illusion created by that rune for a few decades before I managed to get out." Aethelwolf muttered solemnly.

The group was stunned when they heard this. Aethelwolf was ranked fifth in the Heavenly Might Rankings and his strength was probably on the same level as Argus and Estes. A rune that could trap him for decades was definitely dangerous!

"We're here. That is where the ancestor of the Ancient Fairies is sealed. Watch your steps, there are some runes here that I haven't deactivated. Follow where I step."
