The Herb King

360 Peaceful Day

A servant brought Aethelwolf and his family to their temporary accommodation, a guesthouse east of the Suliman Family's mansion.

"Please call me through this communication crystal if you need anything." The beautiful servant bowed her head as she handed a green crystal to Aethelwolf.

Aethelwolf grabbed the crystal and nodded his head. "Please convey my thanks to the mayor." He said to the servant.

"I will." The servant smiled at him and left.

Julie Irish who was standing beside him sighed emotionally. "A Level 5 Esper like her is only a servant in this family. If she was in the Regalis Continent, she would have been a peerless expert admired by many."

Samira nodded her head in agreement.

"We shouldn't tell anyone about our origins. Never mention anything about the Regalis Continent while we are here. We never know if they have a unique rune that can be used to eavesdrop on our conversations." Aethelwolf warned in a serious voice. The strength of the Suliman Family was beyond his expectations.

"Alright." Julie Irish and Samira nodded their heads.

"Let's go in."

They entered the guesthouse and rested for almost ten hours. They haven't slept in a warm bed since they left the Regalis Continent. They always had to be cautious inside the forest because of the presence of powerful beasts and this drained their mental energy.

Aethelwolf was the first one to get up. He didn't know how long they had to stay here so he had to set up some runes for their safety. He didn't have enough materials for the runes so he took out the communication crystal and asked the servant to purchase some for him.

"Oh wait... I just remembered that I don't have their currency..." Aethelwolf immediately grabbed the communication crystal and asked the servant if he could pay using his pills. He had a lot of pills in his storage space. However, the servant said that he didn't need to pay and that the Suliman Family would pay for everything."

Aethelwolf refused her, but she insisted. Left with no choice, Aethelwolf could only agree. He sounded reluctant when he agreed to the offer, but he was actually happy to say it. Who doesn't love free things?

After his conversation with the beautiful servant, Aethelwolf went out and grabbed a chair from his storage space. He then took a seat and lit up a cigar. "Maybe I should give some to the mayor." He mumbled while looking at the cigar in between his fingers.

Not long later, he saw a figure flying towards their location. Aethelwolf raised his eyebrows, but when he sensed the familiar aura, his face eased up.

Tyrone slowly descended from the sky and landed in front of the guesthouse. "Have you rested, Sir Aethelwolf?" He asked while cupping his fists.

Aethelwolf stood up and shook hands with Tyrone as he said. "We like this place. It's peaceful and free from danger."

"That's good to hear." Tyrone smiled upon hearing his words. "Oh, right. I came here to give you this." He took out a pouch from his storage device and handed it to Aethelwolf.

"What's this?" Aethelwolf asked curiously after taking the pouch.

"The young miss and the young lord wanted to give you something for saving them, but they couldn't come in person because the mayor didn't allow them to get out of the mansion. They heard that you were from a different country so they figured that you might need some of our country's money. Egrad uses a currency called Orbes and inside that pouch is 10 million Orbes. Please take it, Sir Aethelwolf." Tyrone smiled at him.

Aethelwolf didn't decline. He needed money to gain more information about this country and this continent. "The young miss and the young lord are truly thoughtful. This would make things easier for us. Please send my thanks to them, Sir Tyrone."

Tyrone nodded his head. "My pleasure. I won't stay here for long, Sir Aethelwolf. If you need anything, just call me through this communication crystal." He handed a red crystal to Aethelwolf.

Aethelwolf accepted the crystal. He didn't urge Tyrone to stay since the guy seemed to be in a hurry.

After he left, Aethelwolf opened the pouch and saw a mountain of amethyst-colored coins. The side profile of a person was engraved on the coin and there were also some writings which he could understand. He used a skill to decipher the words and found out that it was just the serial number of the coin and the year when it was made. The name of the person on the coin was also written. It was Carnav Egrad, the emperor of the country.

Aethelwolf kept the pouch inside his storage space and hummed a beautiful song as he returned to his seat.

Soon after, Julie Irish and the others woke up one by one.

"Husband, what are you doing here?" Samira asked him with a smile. She was holding the hands of their little daughter, Shane.

"Just enjoying the weather of Northern Trance." He chuckled. He then opened his arms wide and stared at his little daughter. "Come here, Shane. Let Papa hold you."

"Tee-hee!" Shane giggled in delight as she ran towards him.

Aethelwolf gave her a kiss and raised her into the air. "Did you have a good sleep?"

"Yesh Papa." Shane nodded her head while sucking on her finger.

Aethelwolf put her down and ruffled her hair. "We have money now. Do you want to eat something good?" He asked while smiling dotingly.

Shane shook her head and rubbed her bulging tummy. "Papa, I'm nawt hwungry."

"Is that so? Then let's just sit here and enjoy the beautiful weather." Aethelwolf grabbed her and let her sit on his lap.

The little girl suddenly opened her arms wide and pretended to be a bird as she said. "Zooom!! Zooom!!"

Looking at the father and daughter pair, Samira smiled in bliss. She wished that every day would be as peaceful as today.
