TTPC Ch. 26: Initial Stage Of The Spiritualist Realm

Unaware of how much time had passed, the pain assaulting his body finally disappeared. At last, the meridians in his body completed their initial transformation, the spiritual power flowing through, forming a subtle spiritual flow that emanated throughout his body, emitting a faint radiance. The orifices and pores around his body followed the frequency of his breathing and absorbed the external spiritual energy, which then transformed into spiritual power that flowed through his entire body’s meridians before it converged into his dantian and sank to the bottom.

The white bead within his dantian radiated a glistening brilliance, constantly being subjected to the flushing of the spiritual power as it converged into the dantian. Each time it was washed over, its brilliance would become brighter, and the spiritual energy flowing within the bead would become denser and whiter.

After this bead was completely filled with spiritual energy, unable to absorb any more, it would transform into a Sea of Spiritual Energy and integrate into the dantian. At that time, his dantian would become more sound and expansive, capable of accommodating even more spiritual energy. It would also be at that moment that he would advance to the Spiritual Master Realm.

Of course, he had only just awakened his spiritual element and taken the first step into cultivation——the initial stage of the Spiritualist Realm. The Spiritualist Realm had a total of nine levels, so he still had a long way to go to reach the Spiritual Master Realm.

But no matter what, stepping into cultivation was finding the right way to stand in this new world!

“Hu……wu!” Lin Yi let out a long breath, then closed his mouth in disgust, “What stinks so bad?!”

“Heh.” A very low, light laughter sounded above his head.

This laugh…

Too Jack Sue1.

It was as if something had gently and softly brushed by his ears, leaving an indescribably odd numbness, but, in fact, it was not that the other party had touched him but that his sense of hearing had become several times sharper than before. Now he could even clearly hear the restrained breath of the other party’s laughter……

Quickly returning to his senses, he realized he was still leaning against the other person’s leg and sat up with a jerk, turning around, “I’m sorry! How long have I been leaning on you? Are your legs okay?”

Pei Xuanqing felt amused looking at the dark man blinking his eyes, revealing white teeth, looking at himself anxiously, but he restrained himself, “I’m fine. You’ve now successfully stepped into the initial stage of the Spiritualist Realm, and from now on, you’ve also stepped onto the path of cultivation. In the future, countless opportunities and ordeals will await you in this Fengtian world. I hope you’ll cherish them. Congratulations.”

Pei Xuanqing’s serious words caused Lin Yi’s heart to tremble as he listened, and he replied earnestly, “I will, and I’ll also definitely cure your legs!”

“Young Master Lin, you should go wash up first, okay? Our Young Master has been rubbed black.” Pei Qi said.

Wash up? Only then did Lin Yi realize that the stench that permeated the whole room was emanating from his body, and his entire face immediately turned green. But, because his face was also black, it was impossible to tell.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” Lin Yi promptly withdrew from Pei Xuanqing’s side, “What’s going on? Why do I smell so bad?”

“It is all waste discharged from when the spiritual power transforms your body—no need to panic. Everyone is like this when they first awaken their spiritual element. Just go wash yourself clean.” Pei Xuanqing said.

Only then did Lin Yi realize where all this stench came from. With a casual wipe, a handful of filth and grease followed, almost causing his last meal to come up. Without delay, he hurried off to wash up.

As soon as he left, the room fell silent. Pei Xuanqing leaned back against his wheelchair with slight fatigue, a fine sweat seeping from his forehead.

Pei Qi hurried over, speaking up anxiously, “Young Master, you’ve been sitting motionlessly for several hours. This subordinate will push you back to rest, alright?”

Pei Xuanqing glanced in the direction Lin Yi had left and said, “That’s fine. Bring Lin Yi over after he bathes.”

……

Afraid the smell would kill him, Lin Yi quickly moved to wash the filth from his body. After finally scrubbing himself clean, he lifted an arm to sniff himself, letting out a sigh of relief after confirming he smelled fresh and clean.

When he remembered the fact that he had just been talking to Pei Xuanqing, covered in greasy filth, a burst of agitated panic ran through him.

Still……Pei Xuanqing really was a good person. Not to mention not distaining him, but he also lent his leg for him to lean on for so long.

Lin Yi felt indignant thinking of all the outrageous rumors about Pei Xuanqing. He didn’t know who spread such unpleasant words, but it was really harmful. If he knew, he would have to do a good job of speaking up for Pei Xuanqing.

Those people were just bullying Pei Xuanqing because of his legs—a gossiping gaggle of cowardly idiots speaking behind one’s back.

Once he cured Pei Xuanqing’s legs, he’d see what those who could only gossip could say.

Thinking of that matter, Lin Yi used his consciousness to communicate with the Pharmacopoeia and found that the dark golden dull glow that surrounded the Pharmacopoeia had become exceedingly bright, with the two words ‘Lin’s Pharmacopoeia’ glistening. The entire Pharmacopoeia was as if it had been cleansed of its body’s lead and reborn.

As soon as Lin Yi’s consciousness drew near, the Pharmacopoeia trembled with excitement, and at the same time, a kind of affectionate and intimate relational connection suddenly arose between him and the Pharmacopoeia. The feeling one would feel between loved one’s made Lin Yi’s consciousness unable to resist reaching out to gently touch the Pharmacopoeia.

Immediately after, the Pharmacopoeia’s brilliance flickered, and Lin Yi let out a muffled grunt. His little finger tingled with pain as a droplet of blood, darker in color and more concentrated in essence than ordinary blood, seeped from his little finger and floated between him and the Pharmacopoeia.

Information flashed into his mind, and Lin Yi immediately understood that this was the Pharmacopoeia asking him for a drop of blood essence in order to make a contract between the two.

The content of the contract also appeared in its entirety, roughly meaning that as long as the contract was accomplished, the Pharmacopoeia would henceforth be contracted to him as a spiritual artifact and become his contracted spirit, just like how all cultivators on this continent would choose a spiritual being to be contracted to.

Lin Yi was secretly surprised. As far as he knew, most of the cultivators on Fengtian formed contracts with spiritual beasts, while a small portion would contract with rare spiritual plants or spiritual artifacts. But, regardless of whether it was a spiritual plant or a spiritual artifact, it had to be one that had already developed spiritual intelligence, even if it was only vague, because only then could both parties communicate to form a contract.

But didn’t that mean that the Pharmacopoeia had spiritual intelligence too?

Lin Yi looked at the bead of blood, then at the Pharmacopoeia trembling faintly in front of him as if urging him on. But instead of rushing to seal the contract, he began to seriously contemplate the extent to which the Pharmacopoeia had reached if it indeed had spiritual intelligence.

After pondering for a long time, he reached out and grabbed the bead of blood. After grabbing hold of the blood droplet, the Pharmacopoeia’s trembling became even more urgent, as if it were feeling anxious.

Lin Yi observed its movements, and remaining calm and collected, he put the blood bead away, saying, “There’s no hurry. This contract requires both parties to be willing, and I must carefully consider it. After all, I don’t know to what extent your spiritual intelligence has reached. In case you’re actually of a deficient level of spiritual intelligence, wouldn’t it be a great disadvantage for me to contract with you right now?”

The Pharmacopoeia’s trembling paused momentarily, and then it began to tremble with even more intensity than before. It seemed as if it were trying to tell Lin Yi that its spiritual intelligence definitely wasn’t deficient and was, instead, very high.

Lin Yi saw it and deliberately sighed, “You see, you’re trembling so much, but I don’t understand what you mean. Communication between us is a problem; how could we make a contract? You’d better let me think over it carefully.”

The entire Pharmacopoeia froze and stopped trembling as if pondering Lin Yi’s words.

Lin Yi waited a while, but not seeing any results from this pondering, he went a step further, saying, “Alas, if only you could talk, I wouldn’t have to worry.”

The brilliance of Pharmacopoeia flickered lightly, but there was still no particular movement from it as if it were hesitating.

Seeing this, Lin Yi snorted inwardly and said, “There’s no reason to rush the contract. Let’s both think it over carefully; maybe I’ll be able to find a better contract partner.”

After speaking, Lin Yi’s consciousness no longer lingered, and he decided to let the Pharmacopoeia think it over.

When he investigated Pei Xuanqing’s dantian before, he had already suspected that the Pharmacopoeia had a consciousness. Now, this fact was confirmed, but he still had more considerations……

For example, if the Pharmacopoeia had spiritual intelligence, was it truly impossible for it to make a sound?

He initially suspected that there was someone secretly following him, but he hadn’t been able to see any suspicious figures. Ghosts and monsters couldn’t get past the Pei Residence’s gates, so after thinking about it, he found that it was very likely that the voice came from the Pharmacopoeia. Just now, he even sounded the Pharmacopoeia out and found that its intelligence was high enough to understand his words completely. In other words, the Pharmacopoeia’s intelligence wasn’t low, and the likelihood of it being able to speak was high.

Regardless, he gave it a try, and now it was up to the Pharmacopoeia to respond.

Lin Yi was very grateful to the Pharmacopoeia. It was his family’s ancestral pharmacopoeia and could be considered his sole ‘relative’ in this strange new world. How could he not want to form a contract with it? But since their relationship was so close, it was best not to hide anything from each other.

Originally, Lin Yi wanted to quickly try and see if he could unseal the prescription to diagnose Pei Xuanqing, but now he also had to wait.

Would Pei Xuanqing blame him?

Lin Yi thought about it, hurriedly dried himself off, and dressed, “Qingfeng, lead me back to my room.”

Qingfeng quickly appeared and led him out of the bathing room.

Lin Yi hadn’t even reached the bedroom yet when he realized that Pei Xuanqing and Pei Qi’s figures were no longer there and stood stunned for a moment, “Where’s your Eldest Young Master?”

“Eldest Young Master was a little tired. Guard Pei sent Eldest Young Master to rest, but Eldest Young Master said to go find him after you finish bathing,” said Qingfeng.

Lin Yi stopped in his tracks. Pei Xuanqing was tired?

That’s right. Although he could not feel the specific passage of time just now, it certainly must have been quite a while. Pei Xuanqing had remained motionless the whole time, letting him lean against him……

“I’m not in a hurry to go over there. You go and take a look first. If he’s resting, you wait until he wakes up and then come and lead me over. If he’s waiting, you can come back right away and lead me over.” Lin Yi said.

Qingfeng glanced at him and then respectfully replied, “Understood.”
