The Vampire's Love: You Are My Destiny

Chapter 153 - Think Wisely!

Five days later.

Rebecca just finished eating lunch when the vampire woman named Sylvia, entered the room together with two servants carrying a box contain two beautiful red gowns.

"My dear daughter-in-law, I brought you two gorgeous dresses for the Awakening Ceremony. Let me see if you look good on it!" Sylvia said and placed the dresses in the bed.

Rebecca looked at the gowns, they have the same color but different designs.

Sylvia looked at her. "Why don't you try them, let me see which of the dresses looks good on you," she offered.

Rebecca sighed but obeyed. She was about to bring one of the dresses to the bathroom but Sylvia stopped her.

"No need to go to the bathroom, you can wear the dresses here, we're both women, no need to be shy," Sylvia said. She looked at the maids and motioned them to leave the room.

The maids exited the room quickly.

Rebecca discarded her clothes and donned the first gown which is made of silk and had beautiful red flower detailing as well as exquisite beads adorning the front area.

Sylvia assisted her.

After she made it, she faced the vampire woman. "How do I look?" she asked.

Sylvia smiled brightly. "Amazing! You and your dress are both gorgeous!"

Rebecca went to the mirror in the dresser and looked at her attire. She's looking fantastic indeed!

"Now, let's try the second one!" Sylvia said excitedly.

Rebecca rolled her eyes, the vampire woman is happy but she's not. Well... she just has to humor her so that she will leave the room quickly.

She discarded the first gown and place it gently on the bed, in fairness, the gowns are soft and comfy to wear. She picked up the other gown which is red lace tulle, long sleeve, V neck has beautiful floral lace detailing on the front. The gown reached her ankle when she finally donned it on her body.

Sylvia admired the second gown as well. "You looked good in both dresses, daughter!" she gushes.

"Thank you for the dresses," Rebecca said blandly. "Can I take off the dress now?" she asked.

"Yes, and hang it inside the closet, and call me mother from now on, we're going to be family after the ceremony," Sylvia ordered.

"Okay, Mother," Rebecca replied and carefully took off the gown from her body, she wore her casual dress again. She hangs the gowns inside the closet.

Done hanging the gowns, she looked at the vampire woman. "Mother, may I ask, what's going to happen during the Awakening Ceremony?" she asked.

"Why-?"

"Because I want to be mentally prepared for it..." she answered.

"Don't worry, you will be pampered and dress beautifully then you will be taken to a room where my son has been sleeping for many years...then I will cut your palm so that your blood will drip into my son's mouth to awaken him..."

"M-Mother, are you going to kill me?" Rebecca asked in fright.

Sylvia smiled and shook her head. "Don't worry, I only need about one cup of blood from your hand, you won't die easily because of blood loss, after the ceremony I will make you rest and make you drink a herbal potion that can quickly replenish the lost blood in your body. And after my son is awakened from his deep slumber, the wedding will follow three days later. And during the wedding ceremony you will officially become the new Queen of the Vampires and my son the King of the Vampires... everyone will show their respect and loyalty to you," she explained happily.

"Oh..." A groan escaped Rebecca's lips.

Sylvia saw the terrified look on Laura's lips. "What's wrong, daughter?"

Rebecca shook her head. "Nothing, Mother. By the way, may I know when and where the ceremony will take place?" she asked curiously.

"The only thing I can tell you is that the ceremony will take place in another place, not here. Don't worry, you will know everything on the day of the ceremony," Sylvia said. "If nothing else, I will take my leave now," she said and walked towards the door.

Rebecca looked helplessly at the vampire woman exiting the bedroom.

She walked towards the closet and stared at the red gorgeous gowns, she has the sudden urge to tear them into pieces due to her anger but she changed her mind at the last minute, the gowns didn't do anything wrong to her so why would she destroy them?

She released a deep sigh and went to bed.

She recalled what the vampire woman told her, the Awakening Ceremony won't happen here, it will take place in another place! Which means she will have to travel to go to the place!

Excellent!

Her face brightened in anticipation. Good! She will escape during the journey! She's feeling confident that a chance of escape will appear the moment the journey starts.

She doesn't care about the Awakening Ceremony, all she cared about is her chance of escape!

She went to the window and stared at the bright sun in the sky above. A smile curled up on her lips. She will escape soon and regain her freedom!

"See you soon, Graven and Laura!" she said brightly.

She's in high spirits when she noticed a presence inside the room, when she looked over her shoulder, she saw Corbin standing near the door. "It's you again!" she said.

"Yeah... it's me again!" Corbin said and lowered himself on the chair. He noticed the smile on her lips. "You seem to be in good spirit, may I know why?"

Rebecca shrugged. "You don't need to know," she said.

Corbin smiled. "My mother just came out from this room. Did she bring good news to you?" he asked wanting to know what made her wear a pleasant smile on her lips.

Rebecca smiled. "Secret..."

Corbin raised a brow. "Playing games with me, huh?"

Rebecca sighed. "None of your business!" she said icily. Then she remembered that she was supposed to ask him about his identity. She looked at him in the eyes. "Who are you? What is your origin? Are you a vampire? What is your relation to the vampire couple who abducted me? Are you their enemy?" she bombarded him with questions.

"Whoaa... you asked a lot!" he complained.

"Just answer them!" she ordered.

A smirk curled up on Corbin's lips. "How about we exchange information. I will tell you who I am as long you tell me where is the real Laura?" he said trying to negotiate with her.

Rebecca grinned. "No way! I will never tell you my friend's location!"

Corbin shrugged. "Fine... I won't tell you who I am! I won't answer all your questions about me! And I won't help you! You're too arrogant and stupid for your good!" he said angrily.

Rebecca looked at him. "So... you're planning to help me?" she asked.

"Yes, as long you will tell me where is the real Laura!" he replied.

Rebecca shook her head. "Save your time in convincing me. I will never tell you where is the location of my friend, I will never betray Laura!" she concluded.

Corbin smirked. "Fine! Stick to your arrogance and your stubbornness and you will die soon!" he glared at her. "Do you know what will happen to you after they will discover that you are not the real Laura and your blood can't awaken the king of the vampires?" he asked, amusement flashing in his eyes.

"What are they going to do to me?" she asked curiously.

"You will be thrown into a burning furnace and you will suffer a painful death, my dear!" Corbin smiled broadly.

Rebecca didn't let fear and panic appeared on her face, she won't give him the satisfaction to see her tremble in fright in front of him.

Corbin watched the telltale signs of fear on her face. "You're scared now? I can feel your fear from where I stand," he said, grinning.

Rebecca chewed on her bottom lip. Dang! Her face is easy to read!

She lowered her gaze on the floor masking her emotions.

Corbin was shaking his head. "You're scared, right?"

Rebecca released a troubled sigh. "Can you please leave my room? I don't like talking to you anymore!" she ordered him.

Corbin rose to his feet. "Still stubborn, eh? I know what's on your mind, dear! You are already planning your escape but I can guarantee you, you will never succeed! Unless you will follow my command - you will die after they discover your disguise!" he said seriously.

Rebecca looked at him sharply. "You talk too much, just leave the room! Or else I will tell the vampire couple that you are secretly visiting my room so that they can capture you!" she threatened him.

Corbin chuckled, amused with her threat. "Go ahead, tell them... and I will also inform them that you are an impostor! That you are not the real Laura! You will meet your death soon even before the ceremony takes place!" he counters her threat viciously.

Ugh! Rebecca groaned silently. If he will reveal to the vampire couple that she was a fake one, she will meet her demise soon before she can even see the opportunity to escape!

He still keeps persisting to know where is Laura. She's wondering what does he want from Laura? Why he wanted to know her friend's location?'

Then she glanced at the door, feeling terrified...damn!

Corbin saw the fear leaping from her eyes and followed her gaze. "What are you afraid of?"

"Are you not afraid that people outside will hear our loud voices?" she asked, the color drained from her face.

Corbin smiled and went to her side and whispered. "Don't worry, I used my power and made the room soundproof every time I came here so that no one knows that I'm here and no one is listening to our private conversation," he assured her.

Rebecca released her breath feeling relieved.

"I'll take my leave now and think wisely before it's too late!" Corbin said and vanished from the room instantly.

Rebecca took a long breath and stared at the window, wearing a gloomy expression on her face.
