TL: Moonlit

We’re almost there…

Tan Shen’s trolls and fans were smearing Zhang Duofu, and her fans, including Zhang Zhiru, were furious. Zhang Zhiru engaged in a heated online battle with the trolls while cursing them in a WeChat group. Unfortunately, Zhang Zhiru had experience in fighting but lacked experience in cursing, and she ended up smashing her phone in anger after being cursed by the trolls.

Shen Ye tried to calm her down in the group chat: [Don’t worry, your idol is not so easily defeated. Just keep watching.]

Indeed, not long after, Zhang Duofu herself released a recording on her Weibo.

The recording was from an hour ago, precisely when Zhang Duofu counterattacked Tan Shen.

In the recording, Tan Shen was furious and asked Zhang Duofu how she had evidence of his infidelity. He accused her of planning to ruin him from the beginning, calling her hypocritical. She claimed to love him but ultimately destroyed his reputation.

Zhang Duofu countered by asking him why he was deflecting blame onto her when he was the one who cheated. She questioned why he attacked her first and tried to crush her, warning him that she had evidence against him.

Tan Shen sneered and threatened her, warning her to back off unless she wanted to suffer the consequences. He vowed to ruin her, even if it meant exposing their relationship.

Zhang Duofu calmly responded to his words and hung up the phone.

After listening to the recording, the spectators had a clear understanding of the situation.

From beginning to end, Zhang Duofu hadn’t cheated. It was all Tan Shen’s plot. He cheated first and, fearing retaliation from Zhang Duofu, preemptively defamed her.

He had no shame! He was utterly shameless!

Netizens spontaneously boycotted Tan Shen, and even with the best marketing company and trolls at his disposal, he couldn’t reverse public opinion.

The happiest ones were Zhang Duofu’s fans. They had prepared to fight the trolls, but their idol single-handedly resolved the matter with her own strength.

Who wouldn’t love such an idol?

In the group chat, Zhang Zhiru flooded the chat once again.

[Look at my idol, she’s so cool!]

[Courageous and strategic, she’s not humble or arrogant. Truly the woman I admire!]

[Sister Duo is awesome! Sister Duo is awesome! I will love Sister Duo forever and never stop being her fan!]

Shen Ye: “…”

This person is crazy.

He privately messaged Zhang Zhiru: [Last time, I met Zhang Duofu, and she said she’s very grateful for your support. She wants to treat you to a meal, and you can decide the time.]

Zhang Zhiru paused for a long time before replying: [Is it true!!!!!!]

The exclamation marks conveyed her excitement at that moment. But that wasn’t all; she sent a series of more than ten dancing chubby emoticons.

Shen Ye smiled and replied: [Let me know when you’ve decided, and I’ll arrange the time with her.]

Zhang Zhiru quickly responded: [Master Shen, you’re an angel, a living Buddha, you’re Jesus in this world. You’re the best friend I have in the world!]

Shen Ye: [Get lost, I’m a Taoist priest.]

…Their friendship almost came to an end with that exchange.

Xu Sis witnessed Zhang Duofu’s calculated moves and couldn’t help but exclaim, “She’s amazing.”

Shen Ye put away his phone and nodded with a smile, “Indeed, she’s formidable. When dealing with scumbags, one has to be quick, accurate, and ruthless.”

“But I don’t think Tan Shen’s company will let her off easily. Tan Shen is a male actor they are focusing on grooming. And his girlfriend, who he cheated with, has a strong background. Even if they failed to bring down Zhang Duofu this time, they will definitely find another opportunity to smear her,” Xu Sisi pointed to her phone. “There are still many black propagandists brainwashing netizens, claiming that Zhang Duofu was the one who cheated first.”

Thinking of the substantial reward Zhang Duofu gave him last time, Shen Ye picked up his phone and posted a Weibo post: “[You’re right.] @Actor Zhang Duofu”

As soon as this Weibo post was published, it immediately attracted a crowd of onlookers.

After experiencing the earthquakes and tsunamis in Africa, Shen Ye’s reputation had reached an unprecedented height. Later, there were rumors online that he was coveted and fought over by various countries, which made people admire him even more. After all, it was a source of pride for everyone to have a master from China that the whole world feared.

[“Master Shen has spoken. With him as a witness, does it mean that Zhang Duofu is innocent?”]

[“Of course! Master Shen never tells lies!”]

[“I guess he came forward because he couldn’t bear to see Zhang Duofu being slandered so badly. Master Shen has always been so righteous!”]

With this Weibo post from Shen Ye, Tan Shen’s side really couldn’t continue to smear Zhang Duofu. Even if they flooded the internet with brainwashing material, netizens wouldn’t believe them.

Before long, Zhang Duofu called to thank Shen Ye and sent him another reward.

Shen Ye smiled. It was truly impressive how Zhang Duofu, who had experienced many storms in the entertainment industry, knew how to handle people.

In the following days, whenever Shen Ye and Ye Ze had free time, they would go to their countryside villa. Shen Ye believed that the more thorough their preparations, the less trouble they would face. He brought all his treasures, including the little peach wood tree that gathered spiritual energy, and he also made many talismans, infusing them with his true essence to strengthen the formation.

He had also discussed with Little Golden Dragon and asked it to come over on the day of the wedding.

Seeing his nervousness, Ye Ze couldn’t help but be on high alert as well.

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen.” On the way back to Rongyuan from the suburbs, Ye Ze held Shen Ye tightly, soothing him in a low voice.

Even if he had to sacrifice his spiritual energy once again, he would protect the person in his arms.

Shen Ye nuzzled against the man’s neck and nodded gently, “I know. With you by my side, I’m not afraid.”

Ye Ze’s lips curved slightly as he gave him a kiss, saying no more.

Shen Ye couldn’t help but feel excited at the thought that once his divine soul was complete, he would be able to open a passage between the two worlds and return to his original world to see his master, senior brothers, and other senior disciples.

During this period, Shen Ye found time to accompany Zhang Zhiru to meet with Zhang Duofu.

Zhang Duofu was in good spirits and didn’t seem to be trapped by love troubles.

Neither Zhang Zhiru nor Shen Ye asked about Tan Shen’s situation, and Zhang Duofu didn’t bring it up.

After the meal, Zhang Duofu gave Zhang Zhiru a personally signed photo as a token of gratitude for her support.

Zhang Zhiru was particularly happy and excited, expressing that she would be her fan for a lifetime.

However, as soon as they left the restaurant, Zhang Zhiru’s face fell, and she said, “My idol has really heavy dark circles. She must be very sad and hasn’t recovered from the shadow of that scumbag Tan Shen.”

Shen Ye: “…”

Zhang Zhiru: “Angel, Living Buddha, Jesus…”

“Say it again, I’m a Taoist priest.” Shen Ye coldly interrupted him.

“Master Shen.” Zhang Zhiru, being quite clever, joined her palms together and looked at him pitifully, “Could you give my idol some talismans? I’m afraid she can’t sleep at night, feeling depressed and emotionally unstable…”

Shen Ye glanced at her, “Your idol gave me a substantial reward before. As a return, I have already given her talismans to help calm her mind and treat insomnia.”

Zhang Zhiru was taken aback, “Then why does she have such heavy dark circles?”

“Because her new drama is nearing completion, and the filming schedule is tight. She has been working non-stop for several days,” Shen Ye said, “She made time to have a meal with you because of your support. Are you moved?”

Zhang Zhiru: “…I’m moved.”

Tears welled up in her eyes.

Shen Ye continued to glance at her and said, “Isn’t she your idol? Why don’t you care about her at all? Don’t you even know about her new drama?”

Zhang Zhiru: “…”

After completing Zhang Duofu’s task, Shen Ye officially took a break. His family was busy preparing for the wedding, while he and Ye Ze were busy shuttling between the suburban villa and Rongyuan. They were either setting up formations or drawing symbols, and Ye Ze was responsible for channeling his spiritual energy.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was the day of the wedding.

Early in the morning, Xu Sisi woke up Ye Ze and Shen Ye, and they changed into their wedding attire. After breakfast, before they knew it, it was already ten o’clock, and the guests began to arrive.

Shen Ye only invited a few people from Mr. Shi’s group and some classmates from his class. They arrived in two batches. Shen Ye assigned the task of receiving Mr. Shi’s group to Mr. Wang, and Xu Ce took care of the classmates from his class. He had a leisurely time himself.

On Ye Ze’s side, they invited close friends and relatives from the Ye family in Haicheng. Although they had tried to streamline the guest list, there were still quite a few guests.

Fortunately, the Ye family members in Haicheng were very helpful and assisted in receiving the guests. Otherwise, Ye Ze and Shen Ye would have been exhausted.

Even with the fatigue-relieving talismans, receiving so many guests in one day was mentally exhausting.

When Ye Ting and his partner arrived together, they pulled Shen Ye aside and shared their wedding experience, “Brother-in-law, let me tell you, weddings can be exhausting. Find a way to slip away early later.”

Shen Ye nodded with a smile.

Ye Ting then mysteriously handed him a gift box, saying, “Use this during your honeymoon.”

Shen Ye didn’t need to look to know that it must be something to add excitement to their intimate moments. He smiled and accepted it, saying, “Thank you.”

Ye Ting nudged him and said, “I may not know much, but I know about these things. I’ve done my research!”

Shen Ye praised him with a smile for a while, and then handed him two talisman cards made of peach wood, saying, “Take these, one for yourself and one for your husband. They will protect you from all diseases and bring you longevity and peace.”

He and Ye Ze estimated that they would return to their original world before long. As the saying goes, one day in the immortal realm is equivalent to a hundred years in the mortal realm. Shen Ye didn’t know if Ye Ting and the others would still be there when they returned, but he hoped that when he came back, he would still be able to see Ye Ting. After all, Ye Ting was his life mentor on the road trips!

Shen Ye had also prepared several talisman cards for his friends and planned to distribute them to everyone when they left. He just gave one to Ye Ting in advance.

In fact, for people like Grandpa Ye and Grandma Shen who didn’t have innate talents for cultivation, even if they went to the original world with him, using various spiritual pills and elixirs to prolong their lives would only add a certain amount of lifespan to them. It wouldn’t make them immortal.

But these talisman cards could still have the effect of extending their lifespan.

Ye Ting accepted it in a daze. He knew that whatever Shen Ye gave him must be a good thing, but he didn’t know that it was something that would increase his lifespan. It was only later, when his hair turned white and he looked back, that he realized how good Shen Ye had been to him.

The wedding started at twelve minutes past noon, and Ye Ze and Shen Ye exchanged rings on the stage. After that, the host announced the end of the wedding and the banquet began.

At the moment of the ceremony’s completion, Shen Ye felt a fluctuation in his soul.

He quickly used his cultivation to suppress this fluctuation and pulled Ye Ze to a corner, lowering his voice and saying, “Uncle, I guessed it right. I’m not in a good condition now. Let’s hurry to the suburban villa.”

Since the wedding ceremony was already over and the afternoon banquet was being hosted by Grandpa Ye and the Ye family in Haicheng, they didn’t necessarily have to be present.

“Okay.” Ye Ze tightly held his hand. “Can you hold on?”

Shen Ye nodded gently. “I’m fine.”

So, Ye Ze said a few words to Grandpa Ye, and quietly left Rongyuan with Shen Ye.

Grandpa Ye and the others had known that they were going on their honeymoon, so they naturally didn’t stop them.

And so, Shen Ye and Ye Ze rushed to the suburban villa as quickly as possible.
