*Whoosh!~*

Davis and Lereza's figures were like a meteor tearing through the sky. Their figures were covered by a layer of fabric that kept tearing apart in their advance. They left a trace of their movements, but the tear was so small that it kept quickly stitching itself back.

Davis had just finished informing Evelynn that he was safe through the messaging talisman he shared with her when he heard Lereza's voice.

"No, he's not onto us."

"That retarded tamer-" Davis clenched his teeth, "He retreated instead of giving chase."

It had been more than half a minute since Davis left, but there was no sign of Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow. This made him believe that this crazy person was not crazy at all. He knew when to attack and when to leave.

After all, by this time, he was sure one or two Late Stage Immortal Emperors who could battle him to death were appearing in the Zyrus Family Prefecture one by one. There was no way Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow could battle them all out and hope to survive even if he knew he had a dangerous weapon like the Bloodcurse Laws.

In front of absolute power, no technique could pierce through.

However, he also hoped that he could kill that bastard before he could grow into even more of a problem here. After all, he couldn't just enter the secret realm, knowing that his family might be in danger if he left.

"You… why did you come back?"

While they were making their way back, Lereza turned to look at him, her pure black eyes looking at him with complex emotions.

However, Davis turned to look at her with a cold look on his face.

"For the same reason you chose to make a foolish decision like that."

"Foolish? You-"

"I apologize." But Davis suddenly lowered his head, "I didn't mean to demean you by calling you a child all the time. I admit your determination is real as any true cultivator."

Lereza's gaze shook before she looked away.

"Of course, it is real! Who do you think I am? Hmph!"

"…"

Davis's brows twitched. This was what he would call a kid. However, he couldn't help but look into her eyes. She appeared to be thinking about something, but somehow, he could feel a layer of sorrow stemming from her.

Her species was extinct. She was all alone in the world?

He believed just realizing that should've made her all despondent, making him want to console her. However, he smiled and looked away.

"I owe you one."

"…"

Lereza turned to look back at him as though she was brought out of her reverie.

"You did well not to use it… master."

Davis chuckled coldly, "Two Anarchic Divergents have made a move in one place. Something is going to happen regardless of whether I use it or not."

"That crimson-robed man was an Anarchic Divergent!?"

Lereza's expression flared, but Davis shook his head.

"No. Not him. It's his master, the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder."

"That person…"

Lereza's brows squinted. She seemed to turn contemplative as Davis explained how he made the connection to how the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder managed to take over the Bloodcloud Family. It was all because of that crimson-robed man. He was the Bloodcloud Family's Founder who had the Blood Tempest Physique, and its blood passed down from generation to generation even today.

Therefore, through the crimson-robed man, the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder could theoretically control all of the Bloodcloud Family's members. Otherwise, he couldn't figure out why the Bloodcloud Family would listen to her without warring.

Lereza nodded, "I see."

She felt that his conjectures made sense. But a second later, she smiled.

"Don't worry. I only need to reach Mid Immortal Emperor Stage to become near invincible in this world."

"That's very reassuring." Davis nodded.

He had witnessed Lereza's power. Although she didn't seem to be an expert in using techniques, she was very good at controlling vines to attack and defend.

"But don't expect me to help next time." But Lereza shook her head at him.

"Choose one!"

"Hehehe~"

Her innocent peal of laughter echoed in his ears, causing him to feel heartened. He was extremely disappointed when she hid Myria's actions from him, but now, he felt like he could show his back to her.

Rebuilding trust was difficult, especially when it was lost. However, he felt like he did indeed have a reassuring palace spirit, wanting to give her a chance again.

Soon, Davis and Lereza appeared above a river that flowed upstream instead of downstream.

Because he told his Master Deathseeker to leave as fast as possible in a heavy tone, it seemed like Nadia and the others were already at a distance of a million kilometers. But since he was approaching them at an incredible speed, it seemed like they had stopped moving.

When Davis and Lereza arrived near that river, there was a sparsely populated forest. Heading inside it, they arrived before the bottom of a mountain and saw his women appear a bit pale, although Nadia and Eldia appeared as convinced as ever because they shared a soul connection with him, knowing that he was fine.

But as soon as he arrived, Davis saw Bylai and Tina's pale expressions blossoming into relieved smiles.

They didn't even float but ran towards him with tearful eyes, with Tina pouncing into his embrace.

"I'm so glad you returned~" She bit her lips as they quivered, her arms wrapping around his neck as she held him as though she was holding her dear life.

Bylai also appeared beside him and checked for injuries as she looked at his bloody figure. Her expression turned awry, knowing that these injuries couldn't be healed even with his life energy as they were caused by existences higher than his own prowess.

The sight of those terrifying Vacuous Beasts and the crazy man who controlled them truly made them feel like this was going to end badly. They had to be evacuated after all, leaving them scarred as to what had happened to their husband that they had no choice but to contact him again and again, not to mention the others back home, alarming the entire family.

Evelynn had actually tried to contact Elder Aradiel Furiose, but the latter didn't respond, perhaps because he and the other elders were testing the candidates for the secret realm. Regardless, Davis knew that he made everyone worry with this sudden encounter.

He turned to look at Master Deathseeker and cast a grateful glance. If it weren't for the other party, he felt like he wouldn't have been able to make the decision to return to Lereza's side. After all, how can he put his women in harm's danger when Lereza's last words were to not put them towards harm and not use it?

Master Deathseeker silently chuckled in response but didn't say anything more, anything less. His smile alone was enough to infer that he had gained his master's approval for surviving that situation.

However, Davis didn't feel proud because he didn't overcome that situation with his or Lereza's strength. It was someone he hated to his core for trying to coerce Myria into being her revival pill by using him and succeeding in it.

However, since she had saved him already once before, he wanted to do nothing with her, but now, she saved him again, leaving him feeling complicated about it, but he knew never to trust that woman because he knew how scheming she could be.

Regardless, he lifted Tina's chin, looking at her tearful amethyst eyes before he kissed her forehead and patted her back.

"That's right. I was a hair inch away from losing my life. But as you can see, I will always survive."

Tina's face scrunched as she sniffled. She could process that what he was saying was utter bullshit and something said to console her, but she couldn't help smilingly shed tears.

"Yes~"

Bylai smiled as she looked at them. However, her forced smile didn't last long as she saw blood drop from Davis's legs and stain the ground.

"Master Deathseeker, do you happen to have a High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Healing Pill?"

Master Deathseeker's brows raised before he nodded his head.

"I indeed have a healing pill of that grade as a last resort."

"That's fine. I can heal him."

Lereza reached out both her hands towards Davis as her vines wrapped every part of his limbs like snakes. In an instant, a greenish-pink light began covering Davis's body from the limbs, soon encasing his whole body.

"You… you can heal?"

Bylai was in shock as she looked at Lereza.

"Hehe~"

Lereza appeared proud as she nodded her head.

"I'm a Floral Dragon, so naturally, I am able to heal."

"What's a Floral Dragon?"

Bylai's expression became confused. She had heard about many dragons named after their attributes, even the less pure-blooded ones like the Aqua Flood Dragon but a Floral Dragon? She had never heard of one before.

"Well…" Lereza suddenly appeared hesitant, "… we'll leave that conversation for another day. Right now, let me concentrate!"

"Yes~"

Bylai responded seriously, believing that she had disturbed the healing process. However, seeing Davis wounded flesh, torn limbs, and broken bones starting to heal visibly yet slowly, she gently sighed in relief.

But Master Deathseeker felt that it was as expected.

Lereza's healing prowess using wood attribute energy wasn't as fast as what his favored disciple's Life Laws was capable of. However, he also saw that it was better than most healing energy he had seen.

He couldn't help but feel that this spirit fey was somewhat special.

'Although… everyone here exudes their specialty except this one…'

His gaze fell on Bylai, wondering what she could be capable of.

Nonetheless, after some time, they left, heading to the Zyrus Family's main city again, but this time, Davis got word that the Aurora Cloud Gate's battleship was on its way with Elder Aradiel Furiose in tow, causing him to be more than reassured.

After all, Elder Aradiel Furiose was a Level Seven Immortal Emperor with a prowess that was only second to the Guardians!
