Divine Emperor of Death

3033 Tense Gathering

Reaching the Zyrus Family's main city outskirts, Davis saw the huge black river of blood mixing into nature. The damage they did was beyond repair, that the powers that were present outright sealed the location in a sealing formation.

Davis could understand why they did it, considering just the putrid and toxic smell from the black river would cause countless Immortals to die and even cause Immortal Kings to succumb if they were ever to touch it.

After all, it was poisonous blood from Late Stage Immortal Emperor existences. Such an existence rampaging around was a rare occurrence since most immortal beasts here were all civilized and knew consensus, if not harmony.

That was the greatness of the First Haven World.

Therefore, the only thing cultivators and the other races were allowed to breed and hunt were Savage Beasts. However, wild, aggressive humans, immortal beasts, and spirits were still included in that equation, although they were much rarer, considering almost all the powers knew of the covenant established by Saintess Lunaria.

Her name still resounded across the world as a legend.

But even though she was a heavenly being respected by all, the First Haven World is still vast. Not every part could be covered, and not every person or group was going to follow the covenant, much less have heard of it before.

But if someone was an Immortal Emperor, they should at least know of the existence of the covenant.

That's why an unprovoked and unannounced attack from an Immortal Emperor existence, much less a Late Stage Immortal Emperor, was almost unheard of in this millennium. Therefore, this alarming situation caused every power to feel that the end of the covenant was finally here.

Davis also felt the same.

The people living in the Zyrus Family escaped the moment they saw the Vacuous Beasts. Other than the casualties created by the rampage of the Vacuous Beasts, the casualties from the corrupted environment were little to none.

But he knew if the Zyrus Family made one wrong move, they would simply cease to exist with so many powers gathered here.

'They have little power but dare to hold a secret realm as a bargaining chip...'

Davis didn't expect Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus to have such guts when he was fearful of him, much less the other major powers who could end his life if needed. Was he acting, or did the death of their power's Old Ancestor cause a change in him?

He didn't know but openly flew into the Zyrus Family's main city.

The palace, destroyed by the Level Eight Immortal Stage Vacuous Beast Dragon, was full of ruins, but now, it was cleared and leveled, designed into a long and wide open field as though a platform was built on a mountain summit.

Many powers were gathered around, and on the stage were a few people.

Davis could see Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus on the platform. The crowd was bustling, seemingly in controversy, as disapproving sounds echoed, but they all went silent upon looking at him arrive.

"You calamitous Divergent. You dare show your face here after what you've done?"

Davis's gaze fell on Patriarch Killian Zenflame. However, he didn't get angered but smiled widely.

"Do you want to get roasted again?

"…!"

"Not going to lie. You were truly tasty."

Patriarch Killian Zenflame flinched before his expression turned angered. However, anyone present could see that his legs were trembling like he was standing on a surface that was quaking.

"Insolent. You dare insult the Fire Phoenix Clan?"

Davis turned to look at an old man clad in a crimson robe. His back was hunched, and he was standing along with a bunch of old men, all looking as though they were just one step away from entering the reincarnation cycle. Their very appearances told him they had little blood essence in their bodies because an Immortal Emperor could survive tens of millions of years and still look young.

"You are… not Reselius Zenflame, are you?"

He narrowed his eyes, asking a question in return.

"Fool. Do you think you're worthy enough to call such a character without honorifics? You're too arrogant and deserve death."

That old man from the Fire Phoenix Clan roared, but his voice was low and hoarse as though he had just mourned.

Davis saw that he held some kind of elusive object that exuded a certain aura, causing him to realize that it was the Old Ancestor from the Fire Phoenix Clan whose body exploded when trying to kill Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow.

It seemed that he was on the verge of death right now.

But that only made him smile more, "You scarlet birds never learn. Why should I even respect the mastermind behind all the wrongs of the Fire Phoenix Clan?"

"…"

The old man looked furious, his dull eyes appearing to burn as scarlet flames lit up.

However, he suddenly stopped as he looked at a few jade-green vines emerging from the pink-robed woman beside him. Knowing that she was a threat as she had been able to defend against that mysterious vile character who used some kind of blood-attributed techniques to make short work of the Immortal Emperors weaker than him, he stayed his hand.

However, his gaze fell on a black-robed middle-aged man on the opposite side of him.

Elder Aradiel Furiose of the Aurora Cloud Gate.

This man exuded an aura that made him feel like he should leave, causing him to heave a heavy breath.

"Didn't the Emperor of Death exile himself out of the Aurora Cloud Gate?"

"…"

Elder Aradiel Furiose blinked, "What if he is, and what if he is not? You should attack him and find out."

"…"

The two of them stared at each other.

The others were no fools, mostly the Ancestors, particularly the Old Ancestors, who knew some truths although the Patriarchs could sense it.

For the Fire Phoenix Clan to repeatedly make a move against the Emperor of Death when the Earth Dragon Clan successfully managed to gain his approval for lending their fourth inheritor for the Candidacy, they knew the Fire Phoenix Clan were making an enemy out of him on purpose.

It had nothing to do with them, but they were almost brought into it.

"Don-"

"Shut your mouth."

Davis roared at Patriarch Killian Zenflame, who tried to speak, causing him to be shaken as the soundwave directly hit him, causing his mind and soul to tremble. At this point, any one of the people present here could see Patriarch Killian Zenflame was completely scarred.

They couldn't help but shake their heads secretly.

"Even if I do not capture you again, I will shove the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic in your mouth and release the Vacuous Beast that I managed to trap inside your body."

Davis took out the scarlet pearl for people to see. It was where he sealed the Level Seven Vacuous Beast Rabbit. Right now, he could see that it was mindless, although he was sure Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow still had some kind of connection to it which he didn't tamper with yet, although he knew even Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow wouldn't be able to sense it because that's the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic's specialty.

It sealed and cut off most karmic connections that one could possibly sense, even if it is connected through blood.

"No! Don't do that to me!"

Despite simultaneously hearing a rejection from the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic's spirit about being shoved into a person's insides, Davis continued in a cold tone.

"The same goes for others who insist on making me take accountability for this situation, so listen up…"

"…"

The Patriarchs and Ancestors from the other powers narrowed their brows. This youngster was basically threatening them but hearing him start to explain what had happened, they continued to listen.

However, the more they listened, the more their eyes began to flicker with shock.

There were three outsiders present in their world, and all three of them were in possession of three different Supreme Laws?
