In Fallen Fate Online, there were two global powers, Chaos and Fate. Of course, each person could choose their own path, everything depended only on skills and real abilities.

You could become a mage or a great swordsman if you had enough ability, perhaps a politician or even a hermit who hid inside of himself the great power and wisdom. However, everyone sooner or later had to choose one of two paths.

When one reached a certain height or had the opportunity to participate in a truly important event, one had to decide whether one belonged to Chaos or Fate.

However, was this really the case?

Zayne became a member of the Shattered Moon Order, and his body contains two different energies that are supposed to be each other's, mortal enemies.

This wasn't a red flag or anything for the Shattered Moon Order, on the contrary, it was only when Zayne saw that Fate was not the pure good that many residents of the Fallen Fate represented it to be, that he had the opportunity to become one of them.

This meant that Fate and Chaos were not completely different from each other and that there were other forces in this world as well, though not as obvious and known.

...

Zayne stared at his copy while strange feelings spread through his body. When he first received the Treasure Box, it was not red or blue, but white, which meant that Chaos or Fate had nothing to do with it.

The silhouette standing in front of him was mostly composed of white energy, though there were bits of blue and red in it, just like Zayne, who had Chaos and Fate energy in you as well.

"White... Until now I haven't heard of anything to signify this color, perhaps it's just a pure kind of energy?" Zayne muttered with a confused expression.

Mana was pale blue, though it had no direct connection to Fate and it could be used for spells of all kinds. However, mana was not pure energy, as it was immediately mixed with the wearer's energy and the environment.

The only time Zayne saw pure white energy was with the Treasure Box, the cube had a four-leaf clover sign on top. That's when Zayne remembered it.

'Hmm...? Clover...? There's no way that luck is a separate force in this world. Although... If energy is the neutral side, then the sign of luck is the right choice... Just like before death, before luck, everyone is equal.' Zayne pondered looking at his opponent who still hadn't moved, though several minutes had already passed.

Zayne wasn't sure what he should have done, unlike his opponent he was wounded and somewhat exhausted.

"Well... Is our fight really going to be fought by such strange rules?" Zayne looked at the silhouette, guessing why it wasn't moving.

Step.

Zayne took a step forward and Silhouette did the same. However, the silhouette's step was slightly longer and he stepped sideways instead of forward.

"I see... he's repeating my actions, but he can change things if necessary. Fine, it's much better than shadow combat, in which case I would definitely lose." Zayne nodded before rushing forward.

He was afraid that he would have to fight himself as he would lose if he did since his copy wasn't injured, but now he had a plan in his head, a fairly simple one.

Whoooooooooooooooosh.

After a few seconds, they were close together when Zayne stopped abruptly. There was a distance of two meters between him and the silhouette, a little more, and he could attack.

"Fine... Now let's try something like this." Zayne sighed and swung his leg sharply, with all his might.

It was a real attack, though there was no way he could reach his opponent because of the long distance, however, that's exactly what he was aiming for.

The copy repeated his move, he kicked at a different angle, but he physically couldn't reach Zayne since their bodies were the same size.

"Gotcha." Zayne smirked, bringing his fist down sharply on the copy's head.

The copy tried to attack back with its fist, but because it didn't have time to put its foot on the ground, it had an awkward position and Zayne was much faster.

Crackle.

Energy waves went through the copy as if it could have exploded at any moment when the shockwave tossed it aside.

"Wow... That was powerful..." Zayne muttered with a dazed expression looking at his fist. He hadn't expected his punch to be so powerful, as it threw the copy back several meters.

Then, he looked ahead. The copy was slowly rising from the ground, but now something had changed. His eyes were much brighter, and his white body had red and blue streaks that flowed with energy like blood through his veins.

Zayne nodded and took a step back with a serious look. However, this time the copy acted of its own free will, immediately rushing toward Zayne at breakneck speed.

Zayne's eyes went wide, he had not expected such a change, but he quickly came to his senses and prepared to attack.

Bam.

A copy fist came down on Zayne, as he put out a block, defending himself from the blow. However, the shockwave was powerful enough to knock Zayne aside and burn part of his arm.

"Shit... That hurt." Zayne frowned, then he got a confused face, "Wait... Where is he?"

Zayne turned around, looking for a silhouette, but he didn't see anything, and when he realized what was going on it was too late.

Crackling.

The foot of the copy crashed down on Zayne's head, making him momentarily unconscious from such a brutal attack.

Zayne was about to fall to the ground, but the next moment his eyes filled with light and he looked at his opponent with a cold stare.

But, no sooner had he done anything than a fist covered in blue energy came crashing down on his face, throwing him aside again. Zayne rolled over the ground, unable to stop, as if he had no chance against such an opponent.

Step. Step. Step.

The silhouette slowly headed in his direction, stepping measuredly while Zayne struggled to rise from the ground.

"Agh... What was that... So fast and powerful... Can I fight like that too?" Zayne muttered with a great frown as he spat out a clot of blood.

Unlike the copy whose body literally consisted of fire and every successful attack left a burn on Zayne's body, Zayne had nothing.

He could not use skills or equipment, his only weapon was his body which was gradually approaching its limits.

'Hey... You're not going to help me this time?' Zayne said inwardly as if addressing someone. He didn't fully understand how it worked, but he hoped that in such a difficult moment, the silhouette of a wolf from his mind would answer him.

However, nothing happened. Zayne heard only silence in response, which made him feel strange.

"To hell with it. I'll fight until I tear him apart. Maybe at least this way I can get that power again. The most important thing is to win, right? You don't have to worry about wounds." Zayne made his decision, clenching his fists tightly and preparing for a fierce fight.

Zexiton had plenty of potions, so Zayne knew that if he didn't die now, but just got seriously wounded, he would be cured for sure.

To Zayne's surprise, the copy nodded as if it approved of his actions, then the copy rushed forward.

Crackle.

Before Zayne knew it Zayne's fist plunged into his stomach, causing his eyes to go wide with the pain that spread throughout his body.

'The important thing is not to stop!' Zayne shouted to himself, as he counterattacked with all the strength he had.

His fist sank into the copy's head in response, but it did not do any damage, on the contrary, the white energy burned his fist like flames, forcing him to bring it back.

Crackle.

Zayne did not expect this, and his opponent took advantage of it, attacking again and again and again. He tried to counterattack, but each time he get more punches and burns that completely covered his hands.

"Fuck! Stop pushing so hard!" Zayne exclaimed, clenching his teeth tightly with anger and annoyance as he landed another punch that had no effect.

This went on for some time, after ten minutes Zayne could hardly stand on his feet, he swayed from side to side, trying not to fall from exhaustion.

"Damn... Am I about to lose my chance?" Zayne muttered, looking at his opponent, "If I lose now, I'll lose a whole week as well as my chance to compete in the tournament... Shit, I'm really out of luck. Why did it have to happen now...?"

Step. Step. Step.

The silhouette was right in front of Zayne when he could hardly see anything anymore, just white fire and nothing else.

"Fuck you..." Zayne wheezed, raising his fist to attack with the last of his strength, but he was unable to finish it as he lost consciousness.

At that moment, the copy seemed to smile and caught him gently, then raised his hand like a winner in the ring.
