Bai Shijue, Han Shun, and Chinchin lived in peace for the first three months. 

Bai Shijue didn't let Han Shun leave his side because Han Shun was still an infant compared to the other cultivators in this place. Bai Shijue knew that Han Shun would be bullied, especially knowing that Han Shun could sound so arrogant to other people despite not having a malicious intention. 

"Bai Gege, can we do this forever?" Han Shun asked as they enjoyed a rice cake while watching the forest below.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, staying with only the two of us… and Chinchin, I don't need to join those cultivators in your sect, right?" Han Shun truly wanted this peaceful day to stay forever. As someone who liked to spend his time with Bai Gege and hated everybody else, this was a precious time for him!

But Bai Gege shook his head firmly, "You will join them, but not through the regular method. I don't need you to join their training because you have a different one."

"However, there will be an event held every 10 years. All the young cultivators from many big sects will have to enter a forest called Forest of Loom. The Loom Forest had a lot of high-ranked celestial beasts, even legendary celestial beasts. And all of you will be tasked to hunt as many as possible."

"A sect needs to kill one Legendary beast or 10 high ranked beasts in order to pass as each of them had different colored crystal inside their body. But if you want to win, you can kill as many legendary or high-ranked beasts as possible. The sect winner will be able to get the phoenix elixir, used to boost your cultivation to an unimaginable level. One sect will be allowed to send 10 cultivators at the same time, but I've decided that you will be the only one."

"The only one?" Han Shun blinked a few times, processing what Bai Gege said just now. "I'm the only one who will represent the sect?"

"Yes," Bai Shijue said. "I got a few protests, but I want to show them that my favorite disciple can achieve something great by himself. You will get their respect if you do it, and they will listen to you."

Han Shun was thinking for a moment. Of course, he was happy that Bai Gege would pick him as the only one in this competition. But he also wondered if he could actually fulfill the expectation.

"What? Are you scared?" Bai Shijue asked. "If you're scared, I will pick 10 young cultivators from my sect. It's fine."

"N—NO! Bai Gege, I can be the only one for you!" Han Shun claimed. "I… I will defeat one legendary beast by myself, Bai Gege!" 

Bai Shijue patted Han Shun's head, "Don't worry, I know your skill. You'll be able to do it just fine."

Han Shun nodded. He knew that the task might be difficult for a new cultivator like him. But he had God of Nothingness, Master Han Ye, by his side. Of course, it wouldn't be difficult with that man's help.

Bai Shijue smiled, "Okay, since you've agreed, you'll be the only Plum Blossom Immortal sect participant. Don't disappoint me, Han Shun."

"Bai Gege, if I can do it, will you give me something as a reward?" Han Shun asked. 

"I can give you many scrolls that would increase your cultivation. I can also give you a scroll that would help you train with other elements to combine your water technique with other elements," Bai Shijue explained.

Han Shun pouted and shook his head, "Bai Gege, that's not what I want!"

"Huh? That's not what you want?"

"Yes, I want something personal from you, Bai Gege!" Han Shun pouted. He stared at Bai Gege, who seemed oblivious, and clucked his tongue in annoyance.

"Bai Gege, I want you to give me something!" Han Shun said. "Something… more personal."

"Stop beating around the bush, Han Shun. Tell me what you want," Bai Shijue said as he got even more confused.

"Well, if you give me a kiss, I'll finish whatever you tasked me to do, Bai Gege!" Han Shun said.

"Are you serious about it?"

"Of course!" Han Shun insisted. "If Bai Gege kissed me, I can do anything—"

Han Shun was stunned when Bai Gege suddenly grabbed the back of his head and pulled him closer. 

Bai Shijue lifted his mask a little and kissed Han Shun's left cheek before separating himself, making sure that Han Shun wouldn't be able to see his real face.

"There, that's the kiss you want," Bai Shijue said. He looked away as he got embarrassed by what he had just done. "The next kiss will happen after you finish the event and come out victorious."

Han Shun couldn't believe what had just happened. He paused for a long time, trying to process the light kiss from Bai Gege.

"If— If I win that competition thing, will you give me a kiss on the lips, Bai Gege?"

"Why would you like a kiss from me, though. Do you want beauty? I can always send you a few beauties you will never see in the mortal realm," Bai Shijue said.

"NO! I just want Bai Gege's kiss!" Han Shun insisted. "I don't care about these beauties when Bai Gege is the most beautiful!"

"You're so weird, Han Shun. You can't even see my real face right now. And there are tons of beauties ready to be bedded by you, and you chose to get my kiss instead," Bai Shijue sighed. But he knew there was no way to advice Han Shun. "Fine, if you want it, I will give it to you. That's only if you come out victorious, and you have to do it alone."

"Yes, Bai Gege! I will not disappoint you and the sect!" Han Shun promised. "I will come out victorious and you will be proud of me! And I will get that kiss I deserve!"
