Chapter 17 – Can Have a Bit of Gynecology Skills

When Su Danhong came back home, she separated the beef and mutton and brought a lot of it to the old Ji’s home. She froze the rest.

Anyway, she had said it herself that she didn’t like eating meat that much. She basically boiled soup, and all the meat and bones were given to the little black dog.

“Haha, that’s true. Mother, go rest. I will do it,” Eldest sister-in-law Su said stiffly with a smile. She looked a little rigid.

Mother Su gave her a quick look and said, “You can chop it up for me. I won’t spare you if you dare to hide it.”

“Mother, don’t worry. I’m not second sister-in-law. Can’t you trust me?” Eldest sister-in-law Su continued smiling.

Su Danhong frowned, but said nothing.

She followed Mother Su out and asked, “Mother, where is second sister-in-law?”

“She went to the village head’s place to grind a bag of corn,” Mother Su said.

Su Danhong talked to her about everyday life, and Mother Su said, “Ji Jianyun won’t come back this year, will he?” He just came back a while ago, and he most likely would not be back for the New Year.

“He wrote a letter and said he will come back.” Su Danhong gave a smile.

Mother Su sighed and said, “Don’t blame your mother. Back then your father was sick and we urgently needed this money. Even though he was not saved, there was nothing mother could do about it.”

Mother Su was actually not very satisfied with this marriage. Jianyun had a salary every month, but how many times could he come back in a year?

“I was the one who gave it to my mother-in-law,” Su Danhong said. “Mother, you should keep it to use.”

Mother Su nodded and accepted it. She was going to start using it, too, so that she would not appear much older than her. She was still a few months younger than her!

While they were chatting, second sister-in-law Su came back from outside.

Mother Su immediately went to see if the rice had been hidden by that thief bitch to give to her maternal home.

“Second sister-in-law,” Su Danhong addressed her.

Second sister-in-law Su looked at Mother Su and gave her a look.

Su Danhong went back to her room with her. 

“Second sister-in-law, is second brother back yet?” Su Danhong questioned.

Second sister-in-law Su nodded, “He came back twice. He stayed for two days and left. He has a lot of work at the end of the year. He’ll probably be back in a few more days.”

Su Danhong looked at her complexion. She felt that after a while, second sister-in-law Su’s face looked a little flushed and asked, “Are you still taking the medicine I gave you?”

“I’m taking it,” Sister-in-law Su said and nodded quickly. “Sister-in-law, the medicine you gave me is really good. When did you learn about it from a doctor?”

“When did I go see a doctor? I just know a little bit about it. I used to study in a literacy class1,” Su Danhong said casually. “Hold out your hand and I’ll show you.”

She learned a little in her last life, but she didn’t understand anything that was too complicated. She still knew some medical skills, especially on treating issues related to gynecology. Her mother specially invited a female doctor to the mansion to teach her some simple medical skills so that she could treat things by herself.

Second sister-in-law Su held her hand out. “Sister-in-law, you are really amazing.”

Su Danhong didn’t care and showed it to her. Afterwards, she nodded and said, “Your health is good.”

As she said that, she pulled out a small packet of beef jerky from who knows where and said, “Keep this half jin of beef jerky to eat. I used medicine to make it for you. Eating a little a day will be beneficial to the recovery of your body and bones.”

“Thank you, sister-in-law,” Sister-in-law Su said and took the beef jerky with a look of gratitude.

Su Danhong said, “My second brother loves me, and took care of me in the past. Don’t be polite to me, second sister-in-law.”

After they chatted for a while, Su Danhong came out and asked her mother for five jin of eggs. When eldest sister-in-law Su saw it, she said with a stiff smile, “I thought you only came back with meat, but you came to exchange it for eggs.”

“My meat is no better than these eggs.” Su Danhong said indifferently.

Eldest sister-in-law Su was speechless.

“You have nothing to do, just mind your own business!” Mother Su heard what was said when she came out and was angry.
