After spending a few days being bored in the room, Li Xi flipped through the tutorial book several times, finally finding a solution to his dilemma.

It didn’t matter to Li Xi if Duan Zhen regarded him as another person. He could use this opportunity to get closer to him, find out the identity of “Zizhuo,” and gradually reveal their differences to make Duan Zhen realize who he really was.

The first step was to figure out how to spend more time with Duan Zhen.

Recalling Duan Zhen’s personality and their speculations about his origins, Li Xi quickly came up with a plan.

……

Next to the rest area was a shop, a high-tech building that stood out from its surroundings. Made of an unknown silver-white metal, it had dimensions of approximately three meters in length, width, and height. It floated in mid-air, defying the laws of gravity.

Once a certain distance was approached, one could use mission points to exchange for the goods inside the shop.

Every person who opened the shop for the first time would be overwhelmed by the variety of products.

Li Xi stood in front of the shop, looking up at it.

This shop was the work of the main system, but ever since it descended from the sky and merged into the games they created, transporting them to a new world, Li Xi had shifted his focus to studying this new world and left other matters to the others.

As for this shop, after the initial visit when he found out it couldn’t be eliminated for various reasons, he never saw it again.

At this moment, Li Xi had the tasker’s wristband bound to his hand, which naturally allowed him to open the shop.

Inside the shop, there were mechanized weapons and firearms, as well as spiritual charms and various skills for sale on the shelves.

Li Xi quickly scanned through the various products and furrowed his brows lightly.

He was curious about how the main system could enable a person to learn a skill in just one second, but he also worried about what peculiar methods were involved.

After all, the so-called technological side and the magical side he was in were completely incompatible, and he truly had no understanding of it.

As he was looking, a familiar aura approached, getting closer and closer. Li Xi quickly adjusted his expression.

“What a coincidence,” Xia Qirong greeted him first.

“Hello,” Li Xi glanced at him and then shifted his gaze onto Duan Zhen. He smiled lightly and said, “Is Brother Duan here to prepare for the next world?”

“Clemens likes killing and blood,” Duan Zhen replied. “There are many things to prepare.”

“I see,” Li Xi acted as if he suddenly understood: “I thought it would be enough to just buy some healing medicine.”

“Next, you will also go to the world of Clemens,” Duan Zhen stated affirmatively. He looked around: “Where is your team?”

He asked bluntly.

Li Xi froze for a moment, a complex expression appearing on his face. It quickly vanished, and he lightly pursed his lips, lowering his voice slightly. “Everyone has left.”

This answer surprised everyone.

“So, in the previous world, you were alone…” Xia Qirong spoke too quickly, but he was discreetly nudged by Sun Le beside him and quickly shut his mouth.

“Yes,” Li Xi sighed: “I will probably do missions alone from now on.”

As he said these words, he lowered the brim of his hat.

“Have you been to Clemens’ world?” Duan Zhen asked him.

“Yes, I’ve been a few times, but I was always accompanied by people from the team,” Li Xi lowered his eyes and cautiously asked, “Brother Duan, can you tell me what I need to prepare? It won’t take up too much of your time.”

Duan Zhen fell silent for a moment and asked, “Which world is it?”

“This is my fifth time,” Li Xi thought for a moment.

Among the ten instances that needed to be cleared, they were divided into ten levels of difficulty. Levels one to four were considered low-level, levels five to eight were intermediate, and level nine and ten were the highest difficulty, with no one having passed level ten yet.

The fifth level Li Xi was about to face was his first intermediate-level dungeon, and the difference between intermediate and low-level was significant, depending on the preferences of the devil.

Based on Clemens’ tendencies, it was probable the strength of the monsters would have reached a new level.

Duan Zhen furrowed his brows. The person in front of him had a slender figure and was timid. When faced with danger, he would only close his eyes and wait for someone to rescue him. He didn’t seem like a tasker who had experienced several dungeons. Instead, he resembled a canary raised to be viewed.

As Duan Zhen thought of this, he suddenly realized something.

Seeing the subtle change in Duan Zhen’s gaze, Li Xi knew that his deliberate guidance had succeeded.

First, he portrayed himself as weak and inexperienced, and then expressed his determination to rely on himself in the future. Finally, he looked up at Duan Zhen with a hesitant expression.

“The fifth world can be much more difficult than the previous ones,” Xia Qirong interrupted, oblivious to the atmosphere. “Why don’t you experience a few low-level dungeons with another devil first and find a team to join?”

In fact, that was the optimal solution. No one could solo all the instances, and even lone wolves would need to cooperate with others within them.

“Thank you, but I don’t want to join a new team for now,” Li Xi replied in a reminiscent tone.

He seemed to recall some unpleasant memories, unwilling to say more. He simply said, “Brother Duan, I’ll go back first.”

After taking a few steps, Li Xi found Duan Zhen blocking his path. He looked up and saw Duan Zhen’s face.

“Add me as a friend,” Duan Zhen said. “I’ll send you the list of things you need to prepare.”

Li Xi blinked, seemingly stunned for a few seconds, before a smile suddenly bloomed on his face. “Sure! Thank you, Brother Duan.”

They added each other as friends and Li Xi happily walked away.

Of course, he still maintained a troubled appearance on the surface, hands in his pockets, hat brim lowered, and hurried steps.

Duan Zhen watched him leave, and as he moved further away, the young man’s slender figure became more prominent. Only his back remained straight, as if he was upholding his last shred of dignity.

“Did I say something wrong just now?” Xia Qirong belatedly realized that the atmosphere was unusual.

Duan Zhen remained silent, his gaze shifting among the various items in the store.

Sun Le took Xia Qirong aside and quietly explained a few things to him. Xia Qirong seemed to suddenly realize something.

“Really, he doesn’t look like it.” He whispered.

The two of them simply exchanged a few words when Duan Zhen glanced coldly in their direction.

Knowing that Duan Zhen disliked gossiping about others behind their backs, they fell silent and began preparing the items needed for the next world.

Meanwhile, Li Xi had happily returned to his room and was hugging a pillow and rolling on the large bed. He looked at the friend request from Duan Zhen on his wristwatch and chuckled to himself.

First step of the plan accomplished!

Duan Zhen had a strong sense of justice and wouldn’t leave him alone on the path to death. This time, Li Xi would be well-prepared, and the outcome would definitely not veer off course!

So they’re online friends now (¬‿¬ )

So I’m not sure if it’s like this since I’m just discovering the novel as I’m reading, but it seems like the 4 devil worlds that the main system has combined and where the players find themselves in are each ruled by one devil/demon lord, so we know there’s Senafel (who is Li Xi I guess), there’s the one ruled by Hest & Moduna, and another one with Clemens?
